They kept us hidden, suppressed. They told nobody about us, not one person outside of their group. We’re their secret project, the soldiers for if something happened that made this stupid war worse. You don’t even know who I’m talking about, do you? They’re the government. They were the ones who turned us into freaks of nature with powers; they made us half human, half animal wrecks. They released us to fix their problems. I just can’t believe I fell for their lies for so long...

After the world descended into chaos, which ultimately led into a third World War, the United States government started project S.U.N. (Specials Using Nemex). This project centered around the highly controversial, newly developed drug called Nemex, which was supposed to make normal humans into something extraordinary.

Due to the controversy and possible dangers, they couldn’t do much with the drug with their limited volunteers. It wouldn’t work on adults, either. Their body would reject it because of their lack of ability to grow and change. However, as the war worsened, the United States found itself desperate. Desperate enough to take the search for test subjects into their own hands.

A draft for such a dangerous serum would have make tensions worse, and it would have turned the media against their own country. So, instead, they took people that no one would notice was missing. In order to find subjects, to perfect their weapon, and to be able to pull that last card from their sleeve, they decided to take ten orphaned children, who didn’t have anyone that would miss them.

This option was attractive to the government due not only to the availability but also from the fact that children are more prone to grow and adapt than adults are. As such, the prime candidates to be picked up and tested on were all between the ages of nine and thirteen, around the age children hit puberty.

These ten children were kept in an underground bunker for five years, where they were given constant doses of Nemex, as well as a place to live, stay, and learn. The decision to choose children instead of adults ended up being a smart choice in the end, for the project was a complete success, giving all the kids strange abilities and a new form to match.

All of the children, now in their teen years, are just starting their initial training before they enter, and hopefully win, this seemingly never-ending war. The only question left to ask is where the loyalties of these test subjects lie, and how they’ll go about showing these said loyalties…

    Name: Chase

    Age: 16

    Gender: Male

    Animal: Cougar

    Appearance: Chase is a tall guy, around six feet tall. Hes weight is normal for that of someone his age and height. He has the facial structure, fur, and claws of a cougar, and past his knees, his legs are thinner and end in paws, yet his bones are still strong enough to hold up his weight.

    As stated before, Chase’s face looks more like a cougar’s than a human’s. For one, he has a muzzle and his nose is more heart shaped. He does have whiskers, and his stunning amber eyes are smaller and more cat-like. His ears sit at the top of his head, both of them being large and pronounced.

    Tawny colored fur covers Chase’s body from head to foot, with dark brown fur on his ears. From his lower jaw to his waist line, there’s an area of light colored, almost off-white fur. He has a bit of that same fur over his eyes and on his top jaw.

    Chase’s hands and feet are more paw like, but he still retains the ability to grab things, as he still has thumbs. His hand-paws have longer appendages than a normal cougar would, to act like fingers. Though he still has claws like a normal cougar, and he also has paw pads. A long, skinny tail comes out of his lower back, also a tawny color.

    As for clothing, Chase prefers to wear a white tank top with a black leather jacket over it. Black jeans cover his legs and he doesn’t really wear any shoes. He doesn’t wear a hat, but he does have pure black sunglasses resting on his forehead.

    Personality: Chase is a quiet kid who regrets a lot of things- like joining the project. He doesn’t like to fight and prefers to hang around in the background, watching everyone else. He’s not lazy, however. He does the work that’s given to him, and he tries his hardest to do it efficiently. He’s an overly cautious teen who tends to get stubborn real fast. He does care for others, if he lets them in.

    History: It’s not really known what Chase’s history is. He lived in the St. Ridge Orphanage in D.C. his whole life. He kept to himself instead of playing with the others, and didn’t make many friends because of it. His quiet nature, and the war, led to him being left unadopted.

    Abilities: Feline Physiology- Power to use the abilities of felines.
    Claw Retraction- The power to extend and retract sharp claws.
    Climbing- The power to climb effortlessly over/on steep and narrow surfaces or plains.
    Enhanced Agility- The ability to possess agility beyond that of a normal member of the user's species.
    Enhanced Balance- The power to achieve a level of balance beyond those of a normal human.
    Enhanced Senses- The power to posses extremely accurate senses.
    Night Vision- The power to see clearly in darkness.
    Enhanced Bite- The power to have an incredibly powerful bite.
    Enhanced Strength- The power to exert great strength from their muscles.
    Enhanced Speed- The ability to move at extraordinary physical speed.
    Environmental Adaptation- The power to survive and adapt to an environment. (Mountains in Chase’s case)

    Hell-Fire Manipulation- The power to manipulate the mystical flames of hell.

    Earth Manipulation- The power to manipulate elements derived from earth.

    Limitations:
    Tactical Analysis- Users are vulnerable against Unpredictability. May be corrupted or overwhelmed by his own intelligence making the user to be arrogant or underestimate the opponent.

    Luck- Most users have literally no control over this power, so what happens is just random. The good fortune may have a limit of probability or time (5 minutes every 3 hours). Jinx may be able to lessen or remove luck. Over reliance may lead to overconfidence and eventually defeat.

    Soul Reading- May have to be physical. May be painful.

    Hell-Fire Manipulation- The flames created can be difficult to control, and may cause lethal backfire if not handled properly. Since the flames may be inextinguishable, it can be very troublesome to control. User must be careful when using the flames around comrades, to prevent causing unintended casualties. User may not be able to manipulate normal fire, and cannot use the flames for normal day purposes (i.e. cooking, campfire). Hellfire may be extinguished or repelled by holy items and substances (i.e. Holy water, crosses). Low level users may not have actual manipulation of the flames, and instead can only produce it and let it run wild afterwards.

    Earth Manipulation- May be unable to create earth, being limited to manipulating only from already existing sources. Distance, mass, precision, etc. depend upon of the knowledge, skill, and strength of the user. Glass and artificial solids may be hard or impossible to control. May not be able to control over extraterrestrial (Alien) elements. May be weak against Electricity Manipulation as electricity can travel through the ground and break apart the earth.

    Animal: German Shepherd

    Appearance: Arron is a tall guy, around six foot five, with a hefty build, almost all of it muscle. He has the face of a german shepherd, his eyes a dark shade of amber. His fur is a dark brown with some black patches, his ears sitting atop his head and his nose being a black or dark brown color. He usually wears an army camo shirt with army camo pants and dark brown boots. A necklace sits around his neck with dog tags on it. A tail sticks out of his pants, long and shaggy.

    Personality: Arron is typically a courteous, curious, loyal, sympathetic, and altruistic person. He never takes risks and is never optimistic. Sometimes he is ambitious while generally being self-controlled, trusting, and honest. Usually he can be nurturing and romantic, while rarely being flirty or affectionate. He is often observant and logical. He is usually a solitary person with very controlled emotions.

    Just like everyone else, Arron has his quirks. He compulsively counts things, is prone to loss of appetite, and is prone to hair-twiddling when nervous. As for weaknesses and flaws, he is judgmental, self-important, socially awkward, dangerously obsessive, and moody. And he is motivated by one thing. His biggest wish is to protect the innocent.

    Force Field Generation - The ability to project powerful fields of manipulated energy.

    Energy Constructs - The power to craft a numerous variety of desired weapons and tools out of pure energy.

    Aura Manipulation - The ability to manipulate the subtle, luminous radiation that surrounds a person or object.

    Holographic Projection - The power to send forth holograms from their body.

    Limitations:
    Guardianship - Guardian's power/status may be connected to a specific object/person. Given their reputation, guardians tend to be hunted down by evil. May need to be deemed worthy. In certain cases, the guardian may be defenseless when being targeted himself. Path of destiny is placed by force. May not be able to to live a free life.

    Force Field Generation - May be limited on size/shape/time their barriers can take. May not be able to maintain barriers under stress. Attack on barriers may cause equivalent damage to users mind or body. May require concentration. Some targets may not be held in or contained by barriers. Some targets may be immune to barriers restrictions. Airtight barriers may cause asphyxiation from prolonged use. Weak against users with Shield Break and Defense Break. May block only certain types of attacks.

    Energy Constructs - He can only make weapons. Construct structural strength may be limited by the users will. Constructs will fade if he isn’t in the area or awake. May be limited on how complicated constructs they can create (ie. no/limited amount of moving parts). User's imagination, less creative usually means they can only make simplified constructs, such as geometric shapes and stick figures. Advanced practitioners can make exact replicas of anything they think of. Can be broken if the amount of force that is applied is greater than the amount the user's imagination can produce. If the construct takes too much damage it may be difficult to maintain and can break, especially if the user has problems with maintaining focus.

    Aura Manipulation - Users must be in control of their moods. Distance, mass, precision, etc. depend upon of the knowledge, skill, and strength of the user. Aura may fall victim to Anger or Hatred Empowerment. If connections are blocked, the aura cannot flow. May be able to use only one aura at a time.

    Holographic Projection - May not look realistic (static or scan lines). May only last a limited amount of time. May be limited to still images.

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Job: Head Scientist.

Appearance: Christin has fair skin and mid-length, straight, platinum blonde hair. She has somewhat small, hazel colored eyes and is fairly tall. She is fairly muscular and somewhat broad. She usually wears an extravagant medium-length dress and a pair of high boots, over which she wears a white lab coat. Her accessories include a belt, a mini-crown, and an owl brooch. The whole ensemble, besides the lab coat, is coordinated in black and rich red.

Personality: Christin is a sometimes courteous person who is also sometimes observant and flirty. She rarely will take a risk or be optimistic. Typically she is ambitious and curious, while also being generally self-controlled, nurturing, and trusting. Often she will be honest, affectionate, and logical, and he is usually loyal. She is never romantic or sympathetic.
Christin, like all other humans, has flaws and weaknesses. Hers are her being short-tempered and overly dramatic. She is a very solitary person and her emotions are usually controlled. She is prone to spacing out when nervous, she often tries to figure out how things could be run more effectively, and she is annoyed by people prone to foot-tapping.
Just like other humans, Christin also has her own interests. Her interests include sculpting, mystery novels, and magic tricks. More than anything, she wants to explore and see new places. It has been that way since she was a small child.

    Name: Kenna Lyes

    Age: 17.

    Gender: Female.

    Animal: Artic fox.

    Appearance: Kenna is rather thin for someone her age, and finds herself to be underdeveloped in some aspects. She isn't necessarily a normal height either, being a mere fifty five inches tall. Some of the others swear she's lying about her age due to this, although she knows otherwise. Her hair itself is a dirt brown, and generally her body hair also grows in the same color. However, when it gets closer it gets to winter, she finds her hair starting to grow in white and thicker, much like a regular arctic fox.

    Her hands themselves are a bit curled inwards. They have paw pads, something that she sometimes pokes at, and they tend to grow hair. Her nails are longer than the average person's, and find themselves to be almost in a point, without being sharp. Her nails are also black. Her feet do something similar.

    She has bright blue eyes and some dots around her round-ish nose. Also surrounding her nose are some ‘whiskers’, which she seems to think look cool. She does have a muzzle, and a thin line of hair between her nose and mouth.

    As for what she generally wears, she’s more casual. She’ll wear anything from hoodies to tank tops, but she never wears shorts or skirts. Very rarely would she wear dresses. She prefers something she can move around easily in and not be uncomfortable. When she does wear hoodies, she wears them oversized so that she can slip her hands into the sleeves. Under her clothes she tucks in a long, white, and fluffy tail that makes her pants seem to be rather bulky, which is another reason she prefers baggier clothes.

    Personality: Kenna isn’t loud spoken in any real way other than when her opinions get dismissed, ignored, or utterly put down. She refuses to admit that she’s wrong, even when she is, and she’s too hardheaded to apologize for any mistakes she makes. She’s not necessarily book smart, and she is a bit awkward, but she does have ways to get what she wants from people.

    If Kenna were to see a kid alone on the street, she would sympathize with him or her, but she wouldn’t necessarily do more than maybe spare a coin or two. It’s all she would be able to handle.

    Kenna does respect authority figures, if given a reason to respect them. She doesn’t like being yelled at, and she prefers to work independently rather than with a group or team. She doubts she would ever be able to be a leader herself, or that she would ever be able to handle caring exclusively for herself without anyone’s guidance.

    She has some self-worth issues, viewing herself as “just another cog in this war machine.” She’s good at talking to people that she knows she won’t be talking to often or seeing again, but the second she’s around someone she’ll have to meet and see frequently, she gets really shy and afraid of being judged by them. She’s scared of what normal people would think of her.

    History: She doesn’t happen to remember it all, or clearly. All she remembers is fear and the orphanage she was taken from.

    Limitations:
    Cryokinesis - Distance, mass, precision, etc. depend upon of the knowledge, skill, and strength of the user. May be unable to create ice, being limited to manipulating only from already existing sources. Creation of ice may depend on the amount of moisture available, dry areas could make this difficult or impossible. Ice is affected by everything that normal ice would be, although the user is perfectly able to use their power to return the ice in its original shape and/or controlling it even under these forces: Melt under extreme heat (Fire Manipulation or Magma Manipulation). Vibrations are difficult (if not impossible) to freeze, as they cause the ice to shatter, making sound-based abilities a perfect counter.

    Frigokinesis - Distance, mass, precision, etc. depend upon of the knowledge, skill, and strength of the user. May be unable to create snow, being limited to manipulating only from already existing sources. Creation of snow may depend on the amount of moisture available, dry areas could make this harder or impossible. Snow is affected by everything that normal snow would be, although the user is perfectly able to use their power to return the snow in its original shape and/or controlling it even under these forces: Melt under extreme heat (Fire Manipulation or Magma Manipulation).

    Hallucikinesis - Some users are limited to creating illusions that affect only certain senses, sight being the most common as a result people with Enhanced Senses might be able to see through it. Some users may have to limit the amount of mental powers to control the illusion. Some targets may be immune, mainly those who either have this ability as well or other mental ability. User may be unable to create accurate illusions, such as making things that don't exist or situations that would never happen in a million years. One common mistake is misplacing a feature on a person, or forgetting to add shadows to their forms. Illusion Awareness. User of Psychic Shield are either immune or highly resistant. People with Danger Sense may be able to distinguish a fake illusion by telling which one is really a threat.

    Magic - There is always a price. Always. Always make sure you know what the price is, it will come back to haunt you. It will be paid, one way or another. The price can range from something as insignificant as the magical energy required to activate your magic, a part of your sanity, or even something devastating, like your own life, or worse. Stronger Magics will overcome weaker ones. Magic Resistance may foil your plans. Magic Immunity will foil your plans. Magic Negation is even bigger problem. Magic often drains a person's stamina or mana. Naturally, stronger magic puts a much greater strain. Magic is unpredictable, if one gets too creative or is interrupted in a crucial moment. Results range from amusing to annoying, but mendable, to destructive to lethal, to Catastrophic to Apocalyptic. Without the knowledge or proper skill, the intended use of a spell can create unpredictable or potentially dangerous results. Society with knowledge about magic is likely to have rules/laws about its use, and areas of magic that are forbidden. In some societies, magic may be limited to a specific class or status. User is unable to use spells that are beyond their imagination. Using magic takes concentration and focus. May react disastrously with Science Manipulation. May disrupt/cancel out technology. May need to perform certain actions/fulfill conditions to use magic, ranging from specific words/songs, certain hand/body moves, materials that may be consumed or even extensive rituals.

    Clairvoyance - Users usually have to imagine their targets, no actual images shown. Requires concentration. May happen unexpectedly.

Kaley has very long legs with a short torso. Her face has a snout that is the darkened color of black. Her face is a reddish color, along with the rest of her body. Her eyes are a bright blue and green, though brown is starting to seep into the bright color. She has a short tail, tipped with white. Her hands are more padded, along with her feet as well. Her hands have callused over into a cushioning feeling, and so have her feet which has created the habit of her walking barefoot. She has large ears in a triangle shape that are covered in black fur. Kaley's face fades into her auburn hair color, though most is hidden in the black fur that covers the base of her neck in an arch shape. Her appearance is more Maned Wolf than human, except for the fact that she still walks on two legs, wears clothes…etc. She wears shirts that are wide at the shoulders, due to the mound of black fur along her back. Baggy clothes hide her tail. Often, Kaley refers to herself as a monster. She doesn't smile, as her teeth are just large fangs that normally line a Maned Wolf's mouth.

Kaley's new life has made her a new person. She is untrusting, always wary of new people. However, she is very kind to those she becomes friends with though she hardly ever makes friends. She has a feisty attitude and will never ever give up a fight. Kaley sticks to her opinions and what she thinks is right, hardly ever admitting she is wrong. Anger fuels her actions most of the time, blinding her from what she should do. She is quick to make what she says heard, as most of what she says is important to her. Kaley doesn't like small chat, and finds it hard to not look at the problems in life. She prefers to be alone with no one there for her. Love and friendship is weakness. What she finds important instead, is leadership, loyalty and respect. Kaley lacks leadership skills that might be useful, but she can be one to get people to do things like rebel. Kaley is very stubborn, and will try and put people in there place even if she isn't the leader of the group. Once you win her loyalty, she will do everything she can to prove herself. Sympathy doesn't come easy to her, as she can't see what was worse than being tested on and used as government property. No one ever sees Kaley smiling anymore. Despite the fact that she acts before she thinks, she can be quite cunning and sly, using her smarts when she needs to (considering she is actually quite smart).

Kaley was a completely different person before changed. She was always happy and smiling, and very loving to others. She never knew her parents, so sought family through others in her orphanage. One day she was taken, and everything has been a blur since then.

✿ She can not control more than 5 series of waves. So, for example, she would not be able to silence more than 5 people. She can hear sounds really far away, but at a certain distance she can only hear them not control them. If she creates a defining loud blow with large sound waves, she could also harm herself if she overwhelms her power.
✿She can't change the temperature of a large area, and she can only change areas around her. Kaley is limited to affecting the temperature within a reasonable distance.
✿If she stays one weight for too long, it starts to affect her actual weight and she can't control this power as well. If she is as light as a feather, wind can blow her around. She could sink in water if too heavy…etc. So, she must be careful of her surroundings.
✿ Too much brain activity can overwhelm her, which makes it hard to read psychological signals in a large crowd. The distance she can search for a specific person is limited as well. Kaley also can't identify the person by their brain activity. (This isn't telekineses. She cannot read minds. She can feel emotions and tell if someone is frazzled in the mind or not paying attention…etc. )
✿ Her echolocation works like a bat, so she can only tell whats in front of her; not what is a few miles away. (Though her echolocation is a little more improved than normal animals.)

Alex is lanky but muscular. His muscle is lean, and packs into his average height of 5'11. His legs are much longer than his torso, like how tigers have longer hind legs to jump far in distance. His skin is very pale, taking on the white fur from the tiger. He has black stripes across his entire body. Alex's nose has taken a triangle face, and darkened to look like a nose like that of a tiger. His jaw has squared off, making his face wider. Multiple teeth line his mouth now, his canine's barely protruding from his lips. Stripes also cover his face in a series of patterns. His eyes are a dark brown, with a soft and cozy look to them. His hands are large at the palm with lots of padding. He has retractable claws that are about 4 inches in length. He has a tail that helps him keep balanced at high speeds. Alex hair is a dark brown, though it is seen as black. Tiger ears has taken over his human ears, leaving his ears round and furry. Alex likes wearing jeans and hoodies, or any other jackets. He likes to wear hats to cover up his ears or to hide the patterns on his face.

Alex isn't very mature. He's not goofy or little kid like, it's just that reality hasn't quite hit him yet. He still acts like the age he is; a teenager. He is stubborn, and almost always refuses to follow orders. Rebellious, he has a knack for getting in trouble a lot. Alex has a carefree attitude, and kind of just goes with the flow of things. He likes to have a good laugh, and is very social around others. Alex would be the kind of guy to YOLO life, and just do what he wants. He's very flirty, and back when he was in the orphanage, could be described as a "player". At times he is easily frustrated. When he gets mad, his actions are field by his anger and he doesn't think a lot. He doesn't think a lot anyway, but his anger will cause him to do stupid things. If something is wrong, or if he is set to a task, he just wants to get it over with. Alex, without trying, can come over as being selfish. He means well, being kind to some and friendly to others, though he will act solely out of the purpose to help himself. It's like he forgets about others that he is with. When he meets someone he really admires, however, it's almost impossible for him to forget about them. Even though he has a carefree attitude, he is full of soft emotion though he doesn't really show it.

Alex was popular in the orphanage, though he didn't have any real great friends. He knew everyone, though once he left no one really cared. He was tossed around different family members when he was young, as his young parents didn't want him. Then he was given to the orphanage. He had never been cared for, but he doesn't really remember his young life. He remembers the orphanage and then being gone.

✖ He has to have seen the color/pattern he wants to change himself into. He can't just imagine something and change his coat to that color. To camouflage into whats around him, what he wants to change into has to be around him in a reasonable distance.
✖ Alex can disappear into shadows, and travel through shadows up to a few miles away. However, he can't go far through shadows. To travel through shadows takes a lot of energy, so he mainly uses this power to turn invisible within the shadows.
✖ He can only block himself from powers for so long. If multiple people gang up on him with powers, he can only hold out for half as long. This can also harm his ability to block himself from other powers. So, he has to "re-charge" his power.
✖ He can heal himself no problem, as long as he believes he can. He has to be emotionally healthy to heal. He can heal others, but at the price of himself. Healing others, if the wound is that bad, can cause him pain and can drain his energy.
✖ His ability to navigate through places he has never been is vague, and can be quite confusing at times. Emotions can block his ability for this to work, and he has to be fully focused.

A.ge: Fifteen, and a month or two.
G.ender: Female.
A.nimal: Shark.
A.ppearance: Pretty, long, curly white hair with silver tips that fall nicely around her slender shoulders when down. With a slim build, she has a mostly flat, toned stomach built for fighting, along with slightly muscular arms due to training. The gills on both sides of her neck are slightly gray tinted and permanent, though not always in use. Most likely wearing a pair of simple cargo pants or skinny jeans and a shirt along with a pair of converse high tops, and if she's ever around people who don't know about her special attributes, she wears a scarf to cover her gills. She always has her nails painted, most likely gray.
P.ersonality: She prefers to be quiet, if not silent, most of the time, and has a reserved nature. Though when angered, she can become a fierce fighting machine. Some may even say she has slight anger issues, even though they are quite easy to contain. Not necessarily shy, despite her absence of voice. If you get to know her better, she will only open up a bit, though not all the way. No matter how friendly you get with her, she will always have that shy, quit nature to herself.
A.bilities:
Underwater Breathing; The ability to breathe under a surface of water for very long periods of time due to the gills on her neck and advanced biology.
Death Jaw; Her teeth can shape into sharp points, similar to those of sharks. They are capable of ripping apart flesh, along with other tough substances.
Puncture Fins; Sharp, razor-like fins that decorate her arms. Capable of cutting flesh, and similar substances, and they are retractable.
Scent Enhancment; Can smell one scent stronger than any others if she chooses.

P.owers:
Water Maniputaion; Can utilize water and move it using the power of her mind. Also send the water to a boil, though cannot freeze it.

L.imitations:
Underwater Breathing; Cannot breathe under any liquid substance but water, gills must be unblocked.
Death Jaw; May create wounds in her own flesh inside her mouth.
Puncture Fins; Once damaged they cannot grow back unless some sort of supernatural power is used, unable to cut solid substances such as iron and metal, are difficult to control sometimes.
Water Bending; Must be in deep concentration ( at least for now) and takes massive amounts of energy for larger bodies of water.
Scent Enhancement; Only applies to blood.

Animal: "animal? oh.. uh what did it say.. oh ya... a cat"
Dislikes: Well she doesn't like a lot of loud noises. Neither does she like being picked on or watching people get picked on. There are a lot of other things so I'll add them on during the rp, as her character developed.
Likes: She loves any kind of animal with fur. ANY kind. This whole project has got her interest. She likes to be rebellious, sometimes.
Crush: "well I had one back home.. I was kind of taken away from that"
Powers (animal Based): Night vision, enhanced agility, Speed, Able to fit in small areas, Able to land on feet most the time, Silent or light on her feet.
Abilities: She currently has the ability to turn anything into a hologram like state. Making it hard to see and untouchable. She also has the ability to see footprints, scent trails. They stand out in neon colors when she wants them too.
Powers To Come: The powers she will develop through the role play are first the ability to see through animals eyes, second, send messages through spirits, and finally the ability to manipulate normal humans.
Limitations: Hologram power: She can only do this for a short time, like 20 minutes or so, until it gets practice. until then if she holds it for too long then the object may fall apart. For humans they may die if held in that state too long.

Footprint, scent trail powers: She can focus on a trail and it will light up, but it takes a lot of focus. The more recent the easier it is to focus on. but if its been a while she will get a head ache and not be able to focus on much of anything.

See through animal eyes: This power gives her hardly any control over the animal. So the animal can do as it wishes as she looks through their eyes. The animal may also freeze up, unnaturally and make it obvious she is using it to spy on something.

Messages through spirits: She will eventually be able to see an occasional spirit. But it's very rare and will hardly ever happen. If she does she has to get the spirits attention to send the message. even then the spirit may forget. This is not a reliable power until it's practiced.

Manipulation: this is a power that allows herself to persuade humans to do any thing she wants. Sadly, until practice, she will only be able to make them think about the option, not do it. It also may backfire, making the person angry at her for some how making them think what she wants.



Personality:
She's a quiet kind of girl but longs to be noticed and out their with the others. Not many people notice her since at first glance she looks kind of weak and pathetic, not very approachable. When ever she is approached she feels almost threaten, as if a cornered animal. But this is the side she can hardly control. Deep under she is a very unique girl, thinking of fun things to do and looking at things differently then others. She has been told many times that she is hilarious and a great friend. But there has been few times she has gotten to show this. She doesn't pity herself. She is quite confident in herself beside the fact it's hard to talk to others without having a nervous break down. This allows her to notice other things about people. If she could she would trade lives with someone who has had a hard time, just so they are happy and she is miserable.
History: Her history has a lot to do with the way she acts. she grew up as an only child with a father and mother. They lived in a nice house in the suburbs. When Joyce was seven her mother was expecting a baby. Her father never liked children and always accused Joy of being a mistake or failure. So when her mother announced they were to have another child he freaked out. It drove him to the point of becoming not only verbally abusive but physically abusive. He beat joy's mother and herself when every they stepped out of line or did something he didn't like. Luckily the mother ran off, able to escape with the baby but unable to take joy. Joy then stayed up in her room, along and quiet. She didn't say a single word around her father unless she had to. Any chance she could get out of the house she took it. this made her incredibly sneaky and able to detect the slightest of noises. At the age of 14 a man came to their house, arresting her father and taking joy off to this project. Unfortunately they weren't able to get her father for much since neither joy or her mother spoke up. Due to fear. So he was put away for a little over a year. In the project Joy continuously worries her father will come find her and end her life.

        james is shorter than the average male, standing just a hair over five foot five. thin and lean, he lacks any substantial amount of body fat, all his weight being muscle and bone instead. although his skin is a smooth even tan, it's not visible beneath the layers of scales that cover his body from head to toe. smooth and a shiny matte, these scales range in size from a pea around his eyes and and mouth, to the size of a coke can on his torso. the majority of his scales are colored a light greyish cream color. along the back of his legs, arms, neck, and torso dark olive green scales form large irregular diamond patterns. the same green color scales surround his eyes and run out and down his cheeks to his ears. his eyes are a sandy brown color and have a thin snakelike pupil. he has no eye lids and his eyes are protected by a large transparent scale. his hair dark grey, almost black, and is kept just long enough to style which gel when he feels like it. all of his teeth except two are thin, sharp, and curved backwards to prevent prey from pulling away. in addition to those, he has two inch hollow fangs that have replaced his canines and are used to deliever a venomous bite.

        despite his short stature, he will always hold his ground in an argument if he believes his position is right. although outgoing and friendly around his friends, he is hidden and reluctant to talk with strangers unless there is a reason to speak. he is selfish and deceiving when he feels the need to be, putting his own safety first and not afraid to betray others and switch to whatever side offers him the best chance of survival. that doesn't mean he's not a fighter though. aggressive and quick to anger, he fights with the sudden and random unpredictability of someone who will fight until their opponent is dead and they are left standing alive.

        needle teeth and fangs;; has two inch folding fangs instead of canines and rest are curved and needle like
        unhinging jaw;; his jaw is able to unhinge and split into two to bite prey and swallow larger prey whole
        vibration sensing;; able to feel vibrations through his feet and use them to 'hear' or 'see'

        memory alteration;; james is able to change, delete, or add false memories inside the mind of any person that he comes in physical contact with.
        cellular regeneration;; any and all of james' cells are able to regenerate at an accelerated rate. this allows his body to kill infected cells and heal at a quicker than average rate.

        pain suppression;; in the future, james will be able to mentally suppress pain. this will allow him to chose not to feel any pain.
        lie detection;; the ability to tell when he is being lied to. in his case, he is alerted by a unique tingling sensation on his left wrist.
        energy absorption;; the ability to absorb energy from a host with physical contact.

        memory alteration;; in addition to requiring physical contact, it requires a large amount of energy and concentration to do anything more than change his name in someone's memory or to completely wipe someone's memories blank. it is very imprecise at the moment and currently only has a 50% chance of working how he wants it to. that can be improved with practise, but it is very dangerous to practise on anyone without a risk of consequence.
        cellular regeneration;; it is nearly useless on anything other than small flesh wounds and riding his system of poisons and infections. although accelerated, his rate of healing is slow enough that he can still be killed easily just like any other human.
        pain suppression;; by suppressing his pain, he is unable to feel the wound. that is very dangerous as it can lead to him forgetting about the wound and leaving it untreated, potentially leading to him bleeding out.
        lie detection;; it does not tell him what the lie is, simply that he is being lied to. there is no distinction between a little white lie (like the color of ones hair) and a massive lie (like the plans of an enemy force). if someone believes that what they say is true, it will not register as a lie even if he knows it is one (like if someone believes the sky is green, they would not be 'lying' and so he would not notice it).
        energy absorption;; it too requires physical contact of some kind. he is unable to control the amount of energy absorbed, leading to him often draining the host of all of their energy and killing them. he can only absorb energy from female snakes and humans.
