- Altavia chuckled a bit about proving their worth. It seemed like that was the mindset of most students here, even she lost herself in the elusive competition to impress. What made her tense in curiosity again was when Nicholas told her if he was going to see if anything was off limits. Again the strange aura appeared around him and she remembered she hardly even knew him. A dark thought shadowed her bright eyes as she recalled the strange note, given to her by a shadow of a woman with no details to spare. They know she's in Winterhold. Nicholas might be one of her enemies, despite how much she didn't want to believe it was true. The strangeness of both the woman messenger and the mage she stood before now were similar. She'd have to be careful.
"Oh, yes. They're probably very eager to know what's happened. I'll be back in quarters before nightfall if I see you then, though." Altavia gave a nod as farewell and turned to ask Tolfdir a few questions before leaving. She decided not to point out any specific places she would go to Nicholas, just to be on the safe side. upon walking up to the older mage, she sputtered a quiet greeting. He familiarized himself with her immediately as the girl skilled with the ward, but she went straight to the point.
"Thank you, I actually have a few questions about the students here..." She said, and he gladly informed her of the ones who showed up to the lecture first. Altavia requested more details on the more advanced mages.
"Ah yes, now they reside in the Hall of Countenance. Colette is one of our best who specialize in restoration. I'm sure you know of Farad, our Gatekeeper, but she also holds a talent for Destruction spells..." As he went through the list she already knew that there was no Celenr. He would've been staying in those quarters. She would've seen him with the other mages. Unless he had something else on his calendar. Altavia water for him to finish before suggesting her brother.
"Has a mage by the name of Celenr visit by any chance? My brother."
"Ah, now that you bring it up I do believe he was here a while ago. I wondered why you're features looked familiar. He was a very good mage, handled himself very well. We offered him a place here but he declined."
"Declined? Where'd he go?"
"He wouldn't say, but i'm sure someone else could tell you. Maybe Drevis, whom he was more aquatinted with."
The girl didn't feel like dragging the conversation any further. He wasn't here. But he was. Her brother was here, and he was alive. There must be something she could go off of, Celenr doesn't just vanish. He was never good at cleaning up his messes. There could be evidence left behind.
Before she knew it she was jogging out of the hall of elements straight into the winter storms, haphazardly traversing the crumbling bridge and into the town. Where would Hanzar and Mika be? the girl slowed to a walk and thought for a moment, thinking they might have done some shopping but as always they would most likely end up back in the inn. This one was full of grumpy words, all too hardened by the weather and their derision of the college to give Altavia a second glance. It was nothing like the incident in Solitude. She wandered around for a moment before asking a waitress to tell anyone by the names of Mika or Hanzar that she's come to see them. Then she sat down and waited for what she hoped wouldn't be long.
