Ludwig awkwardly shuffled at Berwald's words, finding that his hands had slipped into his own pockets. He moved to the side so he could give Feliciano a view of the other before trying to think of something to say. What do you say to just 'hi'? Ludwig wasn't good at a conversation in general, not to mention an attempt to try and start one was way out of his league. Normal people did this right? Did they normally ask how the person was holding up or something? The blond wasn't exactly sure, but he might as well ask. Thank goodness that the German noticed the embarrassment on the other's cheek and decide to steer clear of asking him something ignorant. "Are you alright? You look shaken."

The Italian smiled at Ludwig's motherly instincts as the other wiped away the dirt on his face, before turning his attention to both him and Berwald. The atmosphere was very awkward, not that Feliciano seemed to mind. At least there were at least three of them together now, it seemed best to live in groups here than to live alone.
