Extra: why does he live there?!: The answer is actually very simple.. he works there. Every mermaid(man) has to make a living somehow, some become freelance ocean hunters, others tempt humans into drowning.. Kir chose to work with humans instead. He's actually signed in as animal caretaker but let's be honest.. he's the main attraction of that zoo.

where do they live?: A lake which is surrounding an ancient shrine. Unique, one-of-a-kind magic flowers grow nearby and visitors would take one of the grown flowers and let it float in the waters to make a wish. Flowers with soft colors float around, they don't die and Bohai eats them.

Where do they live?:
In a children's aquarium, in his own special tank, which has a touch tank like section so the more careful kids can touch his tail and he can chat to them.
Extra:
Shimizu adores humans and really loves little kids, he finds them adorable and wants to adopt them all. He can't, cause he lives in the water. So, with the help of a good human friend, they built him a special tank in a children's aquarium. One section has a shallow area, so he can let the kids interact with him. Shimizu allows them to touch his tail and he adores talking to the kids and the parents on the side lines. He does have a favorite kid, which sees him every week without fail.

rumor has it:
Ahki may not look very dangerous, his head adorned with flowers and his tail littered with beautiful red and gold flecked scales. Yet we have all heard of the mysterious and freak accidents surrounding his home, the Bermuda Triangle. The explanation is simple; there is a very easily angered merman who has taken residence in the area. He doesn't like being bothered, and the noise the boats make disturbs not only his sleep but also all of the marine life as well. Trust him, you'd be angry too if a loud ship was slamming on it's horn for an hour straight and woke up your great whites and made your blue whales cry. So, there you have it. Don't make a merman's children upset or the next thing you know your ship will be his next vacation house.
