hello there. my username
just so happens to be kat.
there are a few of me
around here as you may
know, but i would like to
think that i'm being a
original with my name. i've
had it since, ohhh... 2011?
that sounds about right.
anyways, i have decided
upon naming this beauty
*what omg i get to NAME
her ok give me a minute
to let that sink in*
*minute goes by* "illera".
you can pronounce it like
"ill-air-uh" or "ee-air-uh",
they both sound pretty to
me, but i thought it gave
sort of a feminine, girly feel
as well as a wild, more
adventurous ring to it.
kat brushed the dirt off of her knees, glancing around. her dear ichi was sleeping in the cave, pretending to be watching izres and persica. meanwhile the two nearly polar opposite ahzenai were dancing around ichi, throwing small things at her and waiting to see how much the orange ahz would endure before waking up.
kat yawned and tried to wipe the remainder of her tiredness and sleepiness out of her eyes. she headed toward the cave. the vortex had been letting off a gentle glow and soft murmurs ever since the last ahzenai had arrived from its depths. as she finally stood mere inches from it, her hand stretched out to feel its cool aura. she didn't dare touch it, but as she could practically grasp the chills and warmth colliding together, she let her mind wander. was there another world beyond the vortex? had anyone ever gone into it, rather than the normal creatures coming out? temptation crawled at her skin like an itch that only a dangerous thing could satisfy. as her fingers stretched closer to the vortex, her arm retaliated quickly when it roared to an aprubt livelihood and earthy colors began to spring from it in every direction.
as peachy white paws started to emerge from the vortex, kat's eyes widened and she nearly fell backwards, stunned and astonished. then, even more to her amazement, a whole ahzenai body came tumbling through as if she had been tripped or pushed. as the vortex spit her out and immediately started to calm, kat took steps towards the newcomer. instead of approaching her further, she darted swiftly out of the cave before others started to gather around the new ahzenai to listen to her first words.
after the beautiful leopard-like ahz introduced herself, kat shuffled back to her dark cave. as she pushed passed the frost-covered drapes, heat rushed up to meet her. as her several ahzenai had been messing around in here almost the entire day, the warmth and stuffiness had built up while she had been out. in the far corner was ichi, surrounded by persica and izres still, and just off the door was thazel and oelaer. the two of them were wrestling each other, oelaer on bottom and thazel on top with her tail wrapped loosely around oelaer's stomach and her back paws on his chest. she was batting her front paws against oelaer's face, nipping his ears all the while. oelaer was giggling and trying to fling her off. kat couldn't help but smile.
"where are elvira and inedia?" she asked, pushing thazel off of oelaer. she pulled her feline-like ahzenai away a few feet, then gave her a questioning look. of course she wouldn't expect an answer fron oelaer, who had an attention span that lasted no more than a few seconds. thazel tilted her head, panting. her soft purple eyes glanced at the floor, thinking about the question for a few moments before answering, "uhh... outside. elvira was telling her a story or something. inedia seems to really like her." kat smiled. she was proud of elvira, who was the most gentle creature in the universe. elvira also seemed to glow with grace. she was never clumsy or disorganized, and she moved with such elegance kat almost envied her, even though she wasn't human.
kat thought about all her ahzenai, and then she took to consideration what the newcomer had said. she didn't feel like she fit in. she thought. well, she definitely wouldn't need to be "normal" to make her way into kat's ahzenai family. all she would need to have is an imagination and a sense of humor, and anything would be possible. kat looked at thazel once more before practically bolting outside, searching for the leopard ahz. she spotted her quickly, burried in a sea of suitors. she pushed passed them, and stood face to face with her. "do you like the name illera?" she asked, shuffling her feet as anxiety crept over her--it always arrived as she tried to woo. "i think that would fit you well, if you don't mind it. but anyways, i figured i should tell you, if you want a family here, we are always accepting of anybody. ladylike or wild. you'll find it all. we can help you decide." she said finally with a grin of excitement. illera. she hoped the new ahzenai would like the name and her family, where she wouldn't need to fix herself to try to make good impressions.
