what about when someone imagines something that already happened?
Does a new universe branch off where it happens again?

It only occurs if it doesn't EXACTLY match the previous universe.
If you think back and say 'I really wish I had done X instead of Y' a new universe would occur.
If you are simply remembering a fond, or not so fond, occurrence, nothing will change.

But you can't remember it precisely to every single detail what happened

You don't have to recall every detail, just the actions.
It only happens if you deliberately change something in the memory.
I guess I made a slight error in explanation when I said 'EXACTLY' it just has to be accurate.
If you recall a vague memory from your childhood, and you just think of the details you remember, like someone talking to you, you won't very well remember everything like what might have been in the room, or the color of someone's shirt.
If, however, you try to say ... 'Hmmm, I think there might have been X or Y in the room. Maybe the shirt was yellow.' It will cause a branch.
Or if you try to imagine the memory as being literal, and say 'I can't remember the shirt. Maybe there was no shirt.'
There will be a branch that is literally as you remember it.

What if someone imagined making a movie?
Like what if they imagined something happening, but they didn't imagine that actually happening, they just imagined it being in a movie?

In another universe, they would create that movie, and the branch off of that universe would be the LITERAL events of the movie.

What if someone imagines something happening that happens so another universe doesn't need to branch off because the events would already happen?
Like what if someone imagined herself eating strawberry oatmeal in the morning; and the next morning, she eats strawberry oatmeal exactly the way she imagined it, so technically another universe wouldn't need to branch off because events leading up to that event are already set?

Well, the initial imagination of it would cause a spontaneous branch-off, but it doesn't mean that she can't still have the oatmeal later.

Is it possible for one to be the creator of their own universe by imagining something happening in the future and in the future it actually happens?

You cannot be a creator of the universe you actually dwell in. However, by creating a story you are the creator AND controller of another.
