Amber smiled to herself as she opened to old cardboard box and brought it into the blue room. The tiny toys and clothes seemed to smile up at her. Laughing, Amber lifted a baby blanket to her nose and breathed in the. She couldn't believe it herself... What would Para think?

"Daddy daddy! Dawn said that she saw a REALLY fat bird in the yard! He was THIS BIG!" the young white bean puffed out her cheeks and stood on her tiptoes to demonstrate what her sister had described to her. She tugged at Para's pant leg, trying to drag him down the hall and to the front door. "Come on! Before he gets away!"
"Alright, alright, I'm coming," Para gave in letting himself be led by Prizzly. He halted in front of the nursery when he caught sight of Amber, and a soft smile formed on his face. "I'll be there in a sec, Honey. You two keep that bird in sight for me, okay?"
The young bean pouted, but didn't argue, and scurried along to catch up with Dawn in the front yard while Paradox slipped into the room with his wife. "What are you doing in here all by yourself?"

Excited laughter of the two girls drifted in through the open window, filling the room with sunshine. His wife knelt by the crib, lost in thought. She looked up at him when he spoke, her eyes radiant with suppressed news. "Oh, just thinking about something..."
Paradox took another step forward and wrapped his arms around her from behind, giving her one of his famous Paradox hugs. He rested his chin on her shoulder and gave her a quick peck on the cheek. "Thinking about what, exactly...?"
She rose and nuzzled him, letting her husband wrap her in a hug. Amber looked into his eyes, and then down at her stomach gingerly. "Para, I have something to tell you..."
