He hadn't been chosen for a patrol this time so there was nothing else for him to do. Though hopefully he'd get chosen for another patrol later.. Turning his gaze back on Hazelmoon he searched her face trying to see if she still seemed as upset about being a mentor.

Ignoring his flirting with Onepaw she stood up "Has the fighting in camp ceased yet Birchpaw?" she asked. If it was perhaps they could take this back outside and she could check on Falconblaze and make sure he was okay for Ashpaw. She glanced at Ashpaw and offered her a small smile before she looked back at Birchpaw.

Ashpaw looked a bit confused why Birchpaw was winking at Onepaw, but she didn't question it. Maybe it was a code for something. She turned her attention back towards Rainypaw when she had stood up and asked Birchpaw if the fight had stopped. Ashpaw looked a bit concern as she waited for a reply from the tom. "Is Faclonblaze okay? Did Flint leave?" Ashpaw asked her voice wavering with worry, "Did anyone die?" The grey she cat wobbly stood up to her paw waiting for Birchpaw's reply. 'What if Flint and Faclonblaze died?' Her heart ached at the thought of her mentor and father dying in battle with each other. It made her so concern, 'It'll be all my fault if they did!' Ashpaw thought. She couldn't bare being assigned another mentor! After everything he did today Ashpaw didn't think she would be able to continue on with life.

"He was just another rogue. An annoying mouse-brain, maybe, but still just a rogue. I doubt Ashstar will care; Rowan will be dead or gone soon regardless." He retracted his claws at last as he turned to the patrol, nodding for them to continue their journey as he took his position beside their captive kittypet, who was still hiding beneath Badgerpaw. He gave an impatient growl to bring her out.

She knew that she was visibly shaking as Rowan's huge, growling muzzle reached down to nearly touch her small, trembling one. She heaved a huge sigh of relief as he left. She quickly crawled out from under Badgerpaw's larger frame as the intimidating Paletiger growled a warning to her. Before she turned around, she looked at the apprentice, her huge yellow eyes full of admiration. "Thank you," she mewed softly, still stunned by his act of kindness. She pressed her cheek to his leg affectionately out of gratitude, as if expecting him to not be uncomfortable. She gave a bubbly giggle before finally returning to her spot in the center of the three cats, nearly forgetting that she was still a prisoner and that there was hardly anything to be happy about.

Stepping in front of the other apprentices the medicine cat apprentice’s gaze turned serious as she glanced over the kit and the warrior. She hadn’t had many ‘cases’ on her own.. But Sunfeather had taught her well and she was confident she could handle it in his absence.

The pale orange and white apprentice woke up from her mid-day nap and stretched her legs before standing up. She yawned as she padded out of the den, going over to the fresh-kill pile and pulling a mouse off the top. Frostpaw drug it over to a stump in front of the cave that was the apprentices' den and began to eat.
