"The fire's out?" He asked himself quietly, "Should I inspect..?" He mewed at Graystar and Eaglestripe.

Graystar meowed,"let me come with you then."

He nodded then slowly passed through the cramped hole to the exit where the faint scent of smoke filled his nostrils.

He frowned, looking at all of the burnt trees and shrubs. The forest used to be a beautiful place filled with birds singing and the sweet smell of dew on leafs. Now.. It was a dark place filled with nothing but charred branches and shriveled corpses of fallen animals.

"Well, we are moving to the deeper part of the forest, its not burn there. Friskypelt, go fetch Earlgray and Eaglestripe for me, then we can head out." Graystar meowed.

He nodded then quickly dashed off. He glanced around then stopped abruptly at the scent of Eaglestripe, "Eaglestripe? Earlgray?" He asked, taking a few steps closer to a hole filled with their scents.
