She started to follow the cat into the forest as the sound of screeching tires came to a stop and several voices rose from the truck. A few other firetrucks came out of nowhere to help.

He stared blankly at Robintail, his eyes glazed over in pain for two reasons. His fur was more of a ash-gray that it's usual sandy..ness... ( :I ) He stepped closer inside of the hole, wanting to get away from the entrance/exit and closer to Robintail.

The she-cat felt sorry for Sandstripe and Robintail, this was their first litter and they already lost a kit to natural disaster.
