Riptide shook his head in response, after Rosie had answered."Okay! Well if you guys change your mind, feel free to have some!" Blue said cheerfully and went back into the kitchen. Tide looked outside and saw the tornadoes were still there. "So... uhh... what do you want to do?" he asked shyly.

Lavender felt so many different feelings she didn't know what to do. So, she just wrote a personal note to herself, obviously not planning to give it to May.

I like you. As a friend and more. Going to the ball with you will be a blast. I hope you will have a good time, too. But my feelings aren't being expressed in ... the way that I thought.
