Swiftstar dipped her head towards Hawkfrost. "Thank you." Her eyes continued searching over the cats, waiting for another volunteer. Her gaze locked on to Goldenmist as she stepped forward. "I appreciate it." Her tail flicked as she looked back to Hawkfrost. "If you two run into trouble, I give you full permission to wake up a sleeping warrior or apprentice to lend a paw." Her eyes narrowed. "They should feel honored to be able to help." Turning around, the she-cat faced Crowpaw. "Let's head out." The leader gave a final nod to the two warriors before departing the camp.

Jaysong purred. "You're too sweet." A heavy sigh escaped his mouth. "As much as I would love to stay out here and walk with you forever, it looks like we should start heading back." His eyes looked upwards towards the moon which was now high in the sky. Coming to a halt, the tom turned around, now facing the direction of camp.

Graymist watched as Hawkfrost and Goldenmist offered to help with the burial. Surely they would be able to take care of it on their own without any trouble. The she-cat felt bad for not being able to offer to help. However, she talked herself into believing that it wasn't a big deal since she was performing other clan duties. A couple moments had passed and she noticed Aspencloud rise from his spot and begin to walk away. Looking around, she noticed Wolfpaw heading into the apprentice den. Oh no. She must have forgotten about the patrol. Quickly, she padded over to the apprentice den and poked her head in. "Wolfpaw." She spoke in a loud voice, ensuring the she-cat would be able to hear. "It's time for the patrol." Turning around, she headed towards the camp entrance, noting Silvermist and Silverpaw had already joined.

Silverpaw sighed at the news of the passing of Tanglewhisker. Truthfully, it didn't affect her much, but at the same time, she didn't want to appear heartless. Her eyes quickly caught the sight of Aspencloud padding towards the camp entrance. "Oh!" The she-cat exclaimed. "Looks like it's time for me to go." She waved her tail at Speckledpaw. "I'll see you later!" Without wasting another moment, the silver tabby trotted over to follow behind Aspencloud. As she padded through camp she noticed the figure of Robincall inside the medicine cat den. Silently she hoped for the tom to have a quick recovery. The she-cat was a little surprised to see that Graymist wasn't the first one to join the patrol alongside the deputy.

☞HAWKFROST glanced over at Goldenmist as the pretty she-cat spoke up, offering her a small smile of gratitude. The warrior listened intently to Swiftstar, dipping his head respectfully at her words, though he knew the pair would be more than capable of giving Tanglewhisker the burial she deserved. As the meeting broke apart, the large ginger tom turned fully to face his companion for the endeavor. "Alright. First we need to think of a place to lay her to rest. I was thinking somewhere warm and sunny, where she can see the stars." he murmured, uncharacteristically concerned about her comfort. "We can lay her across my back first and then you can tag along for whatever's left." he offered, knowing that his broad stature posed helpful in scenarios such as this.

☞CROWPAW trailed after Swiftstar, frowning slightly as his mood deflated. Deaths were never a fun experience, and the dark tom found himself reflecting on the passing of his own father. The apprentice caught up to his mentor, walking soundlessly by her side as they kept stride. The young tom resolved to make this training session worth it, especially since they tended to be few and far between as his mentor was burdened with the responsibility of the whole clan. Crowpaw understood her responsibilities and often found himself looking up to Swiftstar as a role model of the type of cat he strove to become.

☞ASPENCLOUD watched with intent amber eyes as Silvermist wove her way towards him, offering the she-cat a pleasant smile. Next came Silverpaw, the deputy quickly offering her a grin as well. Birchpaw trailed from over her shoulder and the slender tom watched wordlessly as the young cat offered condolences first to her mentor before joining her friend's side. Very respectable. Now all they were waiting for was Graymist and her apprentice Wolfpaw. The group stood patiently, in no true rush to get out into the forest. The territory tended to remain fairly quiet and uninteresting at night, but it was always safer to make sure. Aspencloud sought Graymist's eyes, holding her gaze for a moment, a twinkle of contentment swimming in his amber pools. "Do you want to start to the north or the east?" he offered, glancing back at the three she-cats before him.

☞BIRCHPAW bounded across the camp towards her patrol, sliding to a halt beside Silverpaw. She greeted her fellow apprentice with a dip of her head before weaving forward to run her side along Silvermist's in an effort to comfort the warrior. The perceptive apprentice had noticed her mentor leaning on Hawkfrost for support at the mention of Tanglewhisper's passing and she wanted to offer her comfort. The fluffy she-cat left the older cat's side to fall in step with Silverpaw, wanting to converse with someone her own age. "So, did you catch Swallowpaw and Sandpaw?" she murmured softly to her fellow apprentice, discretely gesturing towards the apprentices' den as the two other cats slipped inside.

"Ah yes i see." she meowed looking up to the sky where the moon was now up and sourounded by stars. "Well then let's go, when we get back where are we headed?" she asked turning swiftly back towards camp. She padded along side her mate a grin plastered and shining apon her face.

Silvermist smiled down at Birchpaw and watched as she scurried off to join Silverpaw. When Aspencloud asked which direction the patrol should head she shrugged. Silvermist had been used to being ordered around and she had imagined the new deputy to be more than capable of deciding for the patrol. She shook her head, what do I know!. "North seems sensible," The grey she-cat decided to contribute, chuckling at the gossiping apprentices.

Robincall dreamt as he lay in his comfy nest. He was chasing a rabbit along the moor, the wind ruffling his fur as he bounded over gorse bushes. The rabbit was slow due to a limp, an easy catch, he thought. His powerful forepaws pulled him forward and his muscly hind legs propelled him towards his prey. Robincall was uninjured and instead strong and sturdy. At the last moment, the warrior leapt in the air and landed down on the rabbit. When he looked down, to admire his catch, the rabbit had vanished. Robincall growled with annoyance and went to stand up and walk back to camp. But something stopped him. His hind leg, which had worked perfectly a couple of seconds ago was now splayed out behind him, useless. Gasping awake, Robincall looked around eyes wide with fear. He heard the familiar sounds around camp and was comforted that the dream had just been a dream. However, when he caught a look of his back leg crooked and bent, he realised not all parts of the dream had been untrue.

Sandpaw followed Swallowpaw into the den and picked a nest beside him. She slumped down, tiredness overcoming her but found she couldn't get to sleep. The ginger she-cat tossed and turned, the events of today vivid in her mind. The thought of the approaching leaf-bare kept her head buzzing with worries. How will we survive? she thought, turning to Starclan for some answers.

The young cat was still in a deep sleep ignoring Bramblewhisker. Suddenly her tail started flicking from left to right. She was having a nightmare. *The Nightmare* She was looking for her mother in the dark forest near ShadowClan all alone, suddenly she fell down a cliff into a river. The river was salty and she felt as if she was drowning. She woke up with a start, "Huh? What?" She could taste salt in her jaws. "Erm... Hi Bramblewhisker" She said shyly meeting his gaze.
