DEXTER
Dexter smiled back happily at Vanity,
She's pretty Cute.
He thought, but when a twig snapped and another mare walked in, he had to admit he was a little struck,
Dexter smiled at the mare and turned to her, not leaving Vanity's side though,

"Hello, Love."
He said, he usally called every mare he encountered 'Love' But it meant nothing, only to add a bit of charm.
"Hiding from us, were ya now?"

She smiled, She was very pretty, and seemed to be cool.
"The Name's Dexter, and you are?"
He shot her a flirty glance with his silver eyes and smirked a bit.

{ Mirela }

Mirela's ears twitched as the gray mare shot her a curt 'hey', seeming none too pleased with the interruption. But then, Mirela hadn't intended to interrupt whatever sort of tryst they had been having! Dipping her head quietly to the mare she could only hope that the stallion would be forgiving and allow her to leave. She was momentarily drawn in by his striking silver eyes and handsome dappled coat, but Mirela knew that looks could be deceiving. Very deceiving.

"Hello, Love."
He said to her, as though it was the easiest and most normal thing on earth, to call a strange mare he'd just met 'love'. Though Mirela knew that it was surely just a habit he had, the hapless throwing out of the word threw her for a loop, and whatever well formulated answer she had had ready previously, drifted apart under her brief confusion. "Hiding from us, were ya now?" He said, his tone friendly and amused. Perhaps it wasn't a tryst, but the mare was certainly displeased with the intrusion....so not a tryst....yet. Wondering why it mattered so much whether they were secretly meeting or not, Mirela only registered what the stallion had said after a few moments, and by then he had already introduced himself as Dexter. A nice name that, Dexter.... She thought absently to herself, but already Mirela was feeling irritated by his earlier comment.

"And just for the record, I was NOT hiding from you. I'm just...a traveler, only passing through. Didn't mean to stumble upon this herd territory..." Her voice trailed off for a long moment, she was picturing what it would be like to actually settle down in this specific area, such a beautiful place, but no....such a life wasn't for her. She was doomed to travel forever. But the flirtatious look in Dexter's eyes caused a surprising spark to light up in her heart, it had been a long time since any decent stallion had flirted with her.... A sudden mad desire to flirt back sped through her mind, but what would it accomplish? Nothing. But perhaps that was the fun of it, she could let loose with this handsome stallion -and forget that the other mare was even there- and perhaps forget some of her past for a few moments. So with that in mind she sidled closer to him, tossing her head to show off her elegant neck, allowing her long mane to fall seductively over her face. "Well then, hello there Dexter. I'm Mirela." She sidled closer to him, brushing against his side as she passed him, "But I'm terribly afraid that you might not get to see a whole lot of me, I do like my freedom quite a bit." She cooed, smirking a little at him, daring him to take the bait.

DEXTER
Oh, getting Frisky, are we?
He thought, winking at the mare who taunted him with her beauty, he prepared a flirty comment when his mind Flashed to Vanity, who stood next to him with a lowered head, as if Mirela had been chosen over her.

Dexter realized how rude he was being. Dexter may not feel so strong for Vanity, but she was still a Lady, and should be treated as such.

He looked to the stunning bridle mare, and took a step forward, letting his lips fall just inches from her face.
He gently whispered,

" I would love to carry this on, but i have a young lady with me, and i would hate to be rude to the sweet little thing. Meet me by the pond tonight, I'll meet you there."

He pulled back and smiled at her.
I would love to carry on, but I believe i have promised this Lovely girl a stroll, I'll see you later."
he began to walk, but flashed a wink Mirela's way, then returned to Vanity's side.

"Walk with me?"
He said with a warm smile,

When the slight touch came to her shoulder she didn't even hesitate. She swung around and hugged him, letting her head fall on his shoulders.
"I'm so sorry I snapped Thayer, i really didn't mean to be so rude. I don't want you to leave."
She said, her voice cracking with guilty emotion.

Aro is a closed off Kelpie most of the time, he is suspicious and keeps to himself. He is brave however, and loyal though he has a complicated background with the herd and doubts any welcome based on his last encounters with them. When he opens up he can be witty and charming and even a bit sensitive. He never likes staying in one place long enough to form a bond though.

Vanity sighed hoping soon it would be over, well that's how it goes, pretty mares get the handsome stallions. She pricked her ears forwards to listen into their 'Private conversation' The pond? Oh great, I was supposed to meet someone there at night. Vanity's head rose once she felt the warmth of Dexter return to her side, she gave a soft smile to him. "For sure" she smiled then took a small step closer to him, the fact that the brindled mare was still here.

{ Mirela }

Mirela flashed him an amused glance as he winked at her, did this Dexter think she would be so easily won that a simple wink would bring her pandering to his hooves? Yet just when she thought he might rectify that with an appropriately flirtatious comment in return, his eyes flicked down to the smaller gray mare and something like guilt seemed to flash across his face. Immediately Mirela felt a little bad, here she was, stealing the attention of this stallion away from a mare who clearly was interested in him. Why, she was no better than the old mares that used to- But no, she refused to think back on those times. Instead she watched what Dexter did next, not quite able to keep her eyes from drinking in his attractive dappled coat, but able to keep her distance through a sheer force of will. This is why you DON'T go out and try flirting with attractive stallions. She scolded herself darkly, it would bring her nothing but trouble, hurt her even more than she had been hurt in the past.

Arching her neck she watched cautiously as the large stallion walked towards her, not stopping until their muzzles were almost touching, his voice was whisper soft on her face when he finally spoke, " I would love to carry this on, but i have a young lady with me, and i would hate to be rude to the sweet little thing. Meet me by the pond tonight, I'll meet you there." Warning bells sounded loudly in her head, but the thought of an illicit tryst with this handsome stallion was too alluring for her to pass up. Besides, Mirela didn't plan on sticking around long, so what could it hurt? Flashing him her own flirty smile, she dipped her head once in agreement, she would meet him there tonight, but she still didn't plan on staying.

Dexter had already turned to the other mare and asked her to join him for a stroll, but he shot one final wink Mirela's way before starting to head off with the little gray mare. Mirela would admit she was jealous, not so much of the fact that the gray mare was spending time with Dexter, but more so because she clearly hadn't been through the struggles and pain that Mirela had endured. Sighing heavily the Kelpie mare wondered what she would do until this evening, perhaps she'd simply wander around the bayou and see what happened. It seemed to be a good enough plan, so without further ado Mirela turned and started walking deeper into the swamp.

Thayer-
A bit shocked, Thayer hadn't quite expected such a heart felt welcome. He'd thought sure that she hadn't felt much of anything at all for him. Softening at her touch he retuned her hug warmly pulling her in closer. He sighed slightly and spoke lightly, "I'm sorry too Kyla. I just didn't want to cause any more chaos than was already going on. Plus as soon as she said she was your sister I knew it was important to make sure I was kind to her. I know you had a lot going on already, she just had incredibly poor timing. Like I told you though, you're incredibly stunning and have had my full attention since the moment I met you. Your personality and incredible leadership has only enthralled me more." pulled away slightly and smiled coyly,"So what do you say? Can you find it in your heart to forgive me?"

Cupid moved at a sedate pace through the trees, sunlight filtering through the thick, gnarled trunks and casting pale dapples on his dark coat. His alert eyes swept over his surroundings with a keen, clear gaze. He quietly snorted as he stepped through a small, murky stream which wound across his path. The swampy area appeared to be bare of any of his fellow Kelpies, nudging Cupid to push onwards in search of the herd or perhaps another Kelpie should one cross him. Mud sucked at his hooves, making slight popping noises. Cupid's heavily feathered feet brushed against the undergrowth, picking up small pieces of plants which tangled in the thick hair.

The stallion tossed his head, flicking his long forelock from his eyes. His silky mane occasionally irked him, falling well below his powerful shoulders and often catching on thorny bushes, constantly hindering him on his travels.
Cupid nickered pleasantly. The calm, relaxed atmosphere was very peaceful, leading him to lower his head and allow his eyes to slide half-closed as he walked. He idly wandered on with a small, lazy smile pulling at the corners of his muzzle.

Despite his relaxed, placid state, out of old habit Cupid's eyes kept flickering up, seeing phantom whispers of movement from the side of his vision. Nothing appeared to be there. The tall Kelpie shied as a bird erupted from amongst the trees on his right with a sharp shriek in a flurry of movement. He broke into a trot, shaking his mane as his heart slowed, recovering from the fright. Even as a wild equine, he still tended to be flighty at sudden, unexpected movements, such as small creatures bursting from the undergrowth.
Eager to find some company, he carried on with his brisk pace, a soft whinny sliding from his throat.

((Actually, Waffle, if it's alright with you I think I'll erase his previous personality and develop it as I go ^^ I want to get to know his character better.))

Kelpies Personality: Apollo is a hard big boy, but he's always willing to help the others and is usually very kind to the ladies, mostly. Kind, yet very stubborn and close-minded; if he thinks it's it, then it's it. Even though he may sound a bit despicable at some point, he's cunning and very romantic and can't hide for too long once he falls in love. Protective and caring, he gets easily jealous and he finds it hard to stay away from someone he loves for too long.
