~Paradise~
I slept until the morning; waking up slowly as to not wake the napping Drexel. I peeked inside the cave and foraged for food a bit, strangely hungering for some plants. I also caught an elk and ate it.

Drexel
He woke with a start, alarmed that Paradise was not at his side. "What the heck?!" He muttered to himself, setting out to look for her.

~Paradise~
I was walking back with a load of moss and soft wood carried on my back. I settled near the cave and placed my cargo down into what looked clearly like a nest.

Drexel
He watched her curiously. "Er.. what are you doing?" He asked.

~Paradise~
“Um, making a nest‚” I waved a talon at my work in progress. “Our egg.” I hinted. “I'm going to lay it sometime today.”

Drexel
He stared at her in shock, and then slowly began teetering for to one side. It seemed like he was frozen, and some invisible force was gently tapping his shoulder. His eyes where wide in surprise, his mouth half open. Then, his eyes rolled back into his head and he keeled over, having fainted.

“Eeep!” I rushed over to Drexel's side and poked a talon at his shoulder. “Drexel, Drexel?!” My tone raised in worry, licking his chin to wake him up.

Drexel
"Urrrg." He groaned, blinking furiously. "I'm gonna be a father!" He said, jumping to his feet suddenly. "Woohoo!" He yelled, hugging Paradise.

~Paradise~
I smiled at his joy and excitement. “Yes, but try not to rattle the egg.” I went over to the nest and lied down in it, laying the egg a couple minutes later. It was pitch black, fading to red, with silver, orange, yellow and gold speckles all over it.

The Family <3-
All of the kids started playing, following their parent's owners. Aztec looked around the room. "Father, may I be excused to go outside for a bit?" he asked.
Imagine blinked. "Sure kid, but one question, how is it that you're so smart?"
Aztec shrugged. "That is a question unanswered. It just came to me. I seem to have been enabled to all of the stored knowledge from my ancestors. It's written within my genetic code, but I feel that I don't need to explain more." he swiftly started walking outside. Imagine shot his mate a soft but serious look. Crimson bit her lip and shrugged, following her son out of the cave. Imagine turned around to accompany the other kids.
