Dustspeck flicked her ear, he rested his tail on Owlflights shoulder before resting back around his side again. "Don't worry, its not near camp" he meowed softly before turning back to the rabbit. "Its to bad our meal has to end..." he murmured. He clenched his jaw at the realization of what he had said, his eyes glittering as he stared at the floor.

Swallowpaw looked up. The sun was setting. "We need to head back." The she-cat meowed.

Softberry purred back her thanks to Dogtail for bearing new kits to the Clan and watched the four tiny furballs squirm, she knew when she agreed to become a medicine cat she gave up the right to have a mate and kits. So she would have to make do with helping raise these little kits. "Would you like me to stay here with you, Dogtail? Or would you like some privacy with your kits?"

Stripekit's tiny maw opened to a small squeak and he pushed closer to his mother, fur still drying after being born. His eyes were sealed shut and his pink mouth had no teeth to be seen, and his tiny body shuddered anytime he was away from Dogtail.

She smiled. "Either way. It'll be nice having you since my mate is dead!"

He mewled and climbed halfway onto Stripekit. He yawned and fell off as his mother started to lick him. He felt the rouge tounge go through his fur twice before pausing.

Softberry chuckled softly and laid down on the ground, knowing soon Dogtail and her kits would have to move to the nursery. "They really are cute. If I wasn't a medicine cat I'd probably have a litter myself." The thick furred molly let a quiet pure echo in her throat.

Dogtail smiled. "They would look beatutiful!" She encouraged the medicine cat. "If I were you, code otlr not i'd have a litter too. But at least I have one now as just a queen." She smiled and licked her kits. She looked at Softberry for a reply.

"I have to respect the code. With kits of my own, I could endanger my clan mates' lives by being busy with young ones." Softberry dipped her head, sighing. "But I'll help you, since you don't have a tom around. If you'd like me to, that is." The medicine cat watched Dogtail lick her kits, each squirming in turn.
