Foxcloud nodded. "I'm torn. I still love him, and these kits, but...I'll have to lie one way or another." She looked at the nursery entrance. "I...I just want him to come racing in here, saying he loves me and that he was wrong...I would forgive him, even if it would be a bad decision."

Dashfoot's head dropped. " Not even Ivyfern makes me feel as warm as you do when you talk to me. I'm not going to let you go that quickly. I'll love you anyway, different clans or not.

I can't handle it. How much of a fool can this tom get? I look at him non-blinking. "Go back to your mate and kits Stormstar. You have no idea how much of a stupid tom you're presenting yourself as. Not a good diplomat at all." To make my point, I unsheathe my claws and hiss. I give Owlstar a look that meant: I want to attack these fools, may I have the honor?

"I would too, if I were you. But he most likely isn't going to do that. I'll tell you right now- Toms are just dumb." Falconbreeze muttered, sighing softly as he picked up Badger gently by her scruff and moved her back to Sweetberry. "I'd raise the kits, personally. Just don't give him the pleasure of seeing them. He doesn't deserve to be called a father to them if he's willing to abandon them and you just because he's 'completely in love' with someone. If you ask me, he probably deserves to get rejected by whoever this other she-cat is."

Owlstar shook her head. "There's plenty of she-cats in MoonClan, and Foxcloud had your kits, for StarClan's sake! Besides, I might already be liking a cat, though I can't have a mate now, I have a Clan to look after," she meowed.

"There is no cat in MoonClan like you," Dashfoot mewed. "Even if all the she-cats in the clan ask to be my mate, I would still hope you'd love me." Dashfoot padded close to Owlstar. "I'll be looking out for you," he whispered before leaving for his camp.

Owlstar grimaced. "I can look after myself, don't cha think?" She padded back to her own camp and flicked the tip of her tail for Ivyfern to follow. She hated confrontations like this.
