Noeyes nodded again, happy and over the moon when her friend mentioned kits. She'd always loved visiting mothers and their little ones in the nursery.. since she'd never been able to have any of her own. The Russian blue had always wanted a mate and a family of her own, but her life had taken a different course. She purred, pushing aside old memories of all the toms that had rejected her, "Oh, yes.. she's sounds as if she's due any day now. I can't wait to meet them!"

A fond smile slipped by the orange tom's muzzle at the sounds of Noeyes' purr. With a purr of his own, he agreed, "You and I both. I remember as an apprentice one of my duties was delivering fresh-kill and clean moss to the nursery each day which could be quite the dreadful task, but when the nursery was full of kits, it was actually the highlight of my day." Glancing up, Foxfoot noticed that the sun had begun its descent down towards the horizon. The elder let out a soft cough suddenly and grumbled, "I guess being under this blazing sun has left me parched." With that, he rose slowly to his paws and shifted forward to lap at the cool water of the oasis lake.

Honeypaw got up knowing that she had overslept and that her mentor would be angry, but she didn't care. She got up drowsily to see Sunpaw outside the den. "What are you doing still here Sunpaw?"

Venom shook out her pelt and watched the tom with curious eyes. "What do you plan to do?" she meowed, stepping closer, suddenly interested in the tom. She glanced back at the clan cats, going about their usual tasks, and suddenly she wondered whether Thistle was up and about yet or not, but her mind was too immersed in the thought of causing trouble for the clan cats.
