Foxkit yawned and rolled over outside the nursery. She wondered what the cats were doing. They can't just be talking, talking isn't even fun. It's too hard. she thought. She dropped the subject and closed her eyes, not wanting to think about it.

TallStep nodded, looking down. His tail swished to one side, whispering also, "I missed you too.." The tom said softly, trying to make it look like they were having a normal conversation to the other cats.

A low purr escaped Softfeather, but she had to quickly cut it off. The she-cat glanced around for a moment before turning back to Tallstep. "I really wish it wasn't going to be this hard," she said to him. She shifted as a squirmy feeling entered her gut and shifted again to get comfortable.

The gray warrior chuckled, smiling gently. "How can I not be sweet to you, Aspen? That's impossible." He mewed before blinking. "Hm? Oh, I mean..." There was a pause as he hesitated, his tail twitching slightly. He lifted his head for a brief moment, then let it rest on Aspen's again, closing his eyes. "I wasn't born in SunClan. My mother was a rouge, and my father was a kittypet. I used to live in twolegplace, actually.... Until I was around 8 moons."

"Yeah.." He sighed, trying to think of something to talk about that was appropriate for the event to make them seem less suspicious. "Anything new?" TallStep asked, tilting his head a bit. Finally talking a bit louder than a whisper.

"All I know is that we took in two loner kits. You remember the she-kit you came with. She and her brother decided to stay," Softfeather mewed. She shifted again when the squirming got more insistent. I'm going to have to see Aspen or something. I don't know what this is!
