Once Ripplehawk arrived, Littlecreek backed off and watched from her own nest as Ripplehawk took her spot next to his mate. When the final kit was born, the queen bowed her head respectfully to the last kit, who had already made her way to Starclan. Littlecreek came up behind Amberstem and let her tail drag down the other queen's back. "We welcome Ospreykit and Bloomkit to Alpineclan," she said respectfully. "Fallkit will be watching over her parents and siblings in Starclan." Littlecreek touched her nose kindly to Amberstem's head before backing up again. "Anyways, congratulations Amberstem and Ripplehawk. You're going to make amazing parents."

Spiderpaw nodded at Brightstep's words and raced off. He found a clump of moss, quickly ran to the mirror stream and dunked it before taking it to the kitting queen. He raced out of the nursery afterwards to give the she-cat and her mate. He nodded at Fogpaw's words. "Yeah, me neither. But she'll be okay," he replied.

At Brightstep's words, Lynxstar bowed her head in grief for the dead newborn. Snowyfeather came up beside her and nuzzled her cheek. "Good thing we can't have kits." Lynxstar walked into the nursery and licked Amberstem. "They truly are beautiful kits. May Fallkit walk with your mother and brother in StarClan." Amberstem dipped her head and replied, "We can't keep this Clan going. Without a Medicine Cat, no one can speak with StarClan. They haven't even spoken to us since the accident. Lynxstar, I'm scared." She looked frantic so Lynxstar put a paw on her shoulder. Everyone will pull through. I know it." She pulled out of the Den and went up to Cloudfern and Snowrunner. "You two are coming on a patrol with me. You too Brightstep, we have to find more cats."

"Thank you." Amberstem dipped her head and curled up around her kits protectively. Lynxstar came in and she almost broke down. The Clan felt torn apart at the seams. Looking back to her kits, she noticed Ospreykit scrambling around the nest blindly. She nudged him back to her and licked him so hard he started mewling. "Sorry little kit, I can see you are a fighter." She looked up at Littlecreek "You look almost ready to give birth! So many new kits!" She felt a little hysterical.

"I hope so." she said. At each screech, she new a new kit had been born. she counted three." Then she felt the mood in the air shift, and a small, limp body was carried out. "Is that kit ok?" she asked Spiderpaw.

"Where are we going to find other cats? she asked. "If there were other cats around, wouldn't we have seen them already?"

Sighing, Snowrunner stood up, the vole he had been eating forgotten. "Even if we do find other cats, we don't know for sure that they'll join our clan," he added along with Cloudfern. "And how do we know that they won't attack us?" the tom asked.

"That's just a risk we're going to have to take, Snowrunner," he told the tom. "But you're right, Cloudfern. We may not find anycat. But we won't know until we look. For now, we go with Lynxstar and do our best to find who we can," Brightstep replied.

Littlecreek was now settled nicely back in her own nest, grooming herself. She paused midlick and focused her attention to Amberstem. "I'm not due to kit for at least the next half moon," she reminded the other queen. While she wasn't as big around as her denmate was before kitting, she knew she was due soon. If she had to guess, it was only going to be two kits max. It didn't really matter to her. Her eyes glistened with grief though as she thought about the kits father. I just wish he could be here to see them. She thought before going back to her grooming.

Spiderpaw shook his head somberly. "I don't think so..." he mewled quietly. "I don't think they'd take it away from Amberstem if it was," Spiderpaw replied.

Personality: Dogpaw is bold and empathetic cat who is not afraid to ask how others are feeling. Even though he cannot hear, he sees things that are too subtle for others. He speaks his opinion, even if his voice is squeaky and high-pitched. He knows that he is made fun of but he acts like he doesn't care or didn't know what they said. He is sassy and is not afraid of grumpy cats or bullies.

"Brightstep is right!" Lynxstar declaired and stalked out of the camp. The forest was serene and empty of life except for the occasional bird. The patrol came to the avalanche paths and trekked along them in silence. Suddenly she heard a cat mewling from a nearby clump of trees. She padded over quietly and looked through the underbrush to find Dogpaw, the medicine cat apprentice, curled up and half starved. "Oh fox-dung," Lynxstar exclaimed, "You look so skinny!" Then she remembered he was deaf so she nudged his shoulder.

Amberstem looked at Littlecreek, then she looked at her kits and licked each on the top of their heads. It was good being a mother, she was not prepared for all the tiredness they would bring. Ripplehawk walked in and she nuzzled his shoulder, then he was called out and she was left again. She felt a little off and started coughing. If she was sick, Littlecreek could get sick too. "Hey Littlecreek, I don't feel so good. Do you think I should get some tansy?"

"Your right. I don't think it's breathing." Then they dug a hole and put the little kit inside. Snowyfeather came up to the apprentices and ferried them out of camp. "How about we try some hunting." Fogpaw looked at Spiderpaw. "Want to try to hunt together?"

Dogpaw had been traveling for days. After the avalanche, everything has changed. He had searched for those who remained with little luck. It was especially hard being dead and young, prey was hard to catch and predators found him weak. He had barely survived. Soon, his exhaustion and hunger caught up to him and he collapsed by a clump of trees. He tried mewing, but feared no one would hear him. Then he closed his eyes to rest.

Not even a minute later, he felt the ground vibrate under his cheek. Something was coming! Or rather somethings! He opened his eyes, fearing this was the last time he would see the earth again when he saw other cats! Through his hunger, he could not focus on who the cats were. Were they rogues or his lost Clanmates? The front one nudged his shoulder and he recognized Lynxstar, his leader! He was so happy that he tried to leap up, but ended up staggering to his feet with no grace. A burst of adrenaline surged and he was able to not collapse. He swayed on his feet and knew he would need help walking. "Lynxstar!" He mewed happily in his high pitched voice. His voice was hoarse, but he still managed to get the words out.
