A roar of an Icewing suddenly echoed through a field (where the family was).
Icicle was pinned down by Zarozinia. Blood ran down Icicle's shoulders. Scar hid the kids and herself in a small cave nearby.

"ICICLE!" He roared, turning and diving. He landed directly on top of Zaro, knocking her off Icicle. His powerful jaws snapped at his neck for a split second, drawing blood. He pinned the dragon down, snarling.

Rowan screamed, and dived down. She began licking Icicle's wounds. "Are Scar and the children safe?" She whispered, rubbing herb paste on his wounds.
