Matthew sat in his Housefolk's den waiting for his food to be served. He heard yowling coming from the other side of the den.The Nofur kits are yowling again! They just had a disagreement heartbeats ago! thought the tom. He sprinted out the flap under his Housefolk's door. The bell on his collar jingled, but he didn't care. He jumped over the fence of his housefolk's garden. He padded over to his special tree and climbed to the lowest branch. And started thinking.

Misty narrowed her eyes, there was nothing to say. She sat back down, frustrated. She had to think about all of this. Would I ever go back? Do I stay? She knew she couldn't go back to the uprights and get another beating again. But here she could possibly get killed.. we'll have to see..
