The soft black tom glanced around, before answering a bit quietly. "Russetpaw suits her." After speaking, he suddenly regretted it.

The fluffy brown tabby tom sighed quietly, picking up both of his catches. He calmly headed back to camp with his two catches, now that he caught some things. I don't know what would've happened if I disappeared for most of the day, and came back with no prey.

The sleek black tom sent the elder a smile, nodding. "Sure." He answered, trying to bury some memories of his mother fishing for him and his siblings when Magpie made a comment about Flare's mother. Which, unfortunately didn't work as his mind was only flooded with images of him and his mother sharing prey or doing simple things. As his memories overcame him, he kept a blank expression.

⇨ She liked all three names, though still wasn't quite sure which one to choose. Summer has always been indecisive, and could recall the times in which she couldn't decide which path to take when hunting. Her ear twitched at the sound of Duskpaw beside her, and once she heard him mutter the word Russetpaw, she made her decision. "How about Russetpaw?" Any name would feel weird at first, and she hiked that she would eventually get used to it.

"I'd love that Flare. And maybe I even could tag along when you go fishing next time." She warmly suggested, pausing to lick the top of one paw before drawing the paw over head to flatten some messy fur. As she did so, she noticed Percy's sudden dejected expression hidden underneath his kind smile. Had they had said something that made him unhappy, or left out? Maybe she had mentioned something or someone that made him sad. Whatever it was, Magpie was curious to find out. "Hey, you alright Percy?" She gently asked, obviously sympathetic for him. "You can tell us what's wrong."

Clearpaw thought about the names Mistystar had suggested. They all seemed to fit Summer well, but Russetpaw was the only name that stood out from the rest. Not only was it easy to pronounce- it sounded quite nice, and when she stole a quick glance at the the ginger she-cat she realized that the name also matched her appearance as well.

"Russetpaw is great!" Mistystar agreed. "You'll have to get caught up with our customs. We only have a few, but they're important to our way of life. Duskpaw, Clearpaw, will you help Russetpaw get accustomed?"

"Sure, I'd love some company while fishing. It's usually quite quiet since others are usually patrolling or hunting in the woods," Flare agreed with a smile. He looked over at Percy when Magpie addressed him. As far as he could tell, Percy looked fine, but he didn't really know Percy that well so he couldn't be sure.

"I'd appreciate that, Flare." Magpie said, nodding in agreement. "I am usually very restless when I have nothing to do." She added with a soft sigh, before her dark yellow gaze drifted back towards Percy. "Oh, okay Percy." She replied. Magpie assumed that either there was nothing wrong, or the black tom just didn't feel like sharing his feelings, so she left it at that. "Are you still up to share the fish?"

Clearpaw nodded eagerly at Mistystar's request, she was glad to have a part in Russetpaw's introduction to the clan and their customs. "Certainly!" She replied cheerfully, "Come on Russetpaw, let's show you around our camp first." She suggested, moving to stand by Russetpaw's side.

⇨ She nodded, "I understand. Thank you." She then realized that she hadn't given the shrew. She gently pushed it towards Mistystar. "This is the prey I stole." She said awkwardly and mildly embarassed. She even felt a little shameful, which was certainly a new feeling. She glanced at Clearpaw and Duskpaw, faintly smiling. "Ok!" She said, her curiousity quickly overpowering her anxiety.

"Great, thank you, you two," Mistystar said, addressing Clearpaw and Duskpaw. "Russetpaw, your mentor will be Eaglefeather. He will assess your hunting and fighting skills, and train with you to make them better. He is a rather young warrior, but he is quite talented and I think you two will be a good team." She flicked her tail as indication that they could go. "Any questions?" she added as an afterthought.

Flare nodded to what Magpie said and then shifted his attention to Percy. He was curious if the other tom would eat the fish, and if he'd like it.

⇨ Eagle-who? She wondered, glancing around while trying to figure out which one was her mentor. She started following Clearpaw, but stopped. She had so many questions, it was hard to get them all straight. "No questions, thank you." She dipped her head respectfully, before trotting right behind Clearpaw. She kept her distance, not used to being so close to others. "Where to first?"

The soft black tom dipped his head to Mistystar, glancing around for his mentor before turning back to the other two. He noticed Russetpaw's glancing around for her new mentor, and decided to fill her in. "We should probably show you all of the dens first, then find Eaglefeather.

The sleek black tom smiled softly, flicking his ear. "I'm still up for it, Magpie." Percy was glad that he had still gotten an offer to share prey with the elder.
