Vern sniffed the air and looked around.

Cinder stopped, still as ever. Suddenly, he jumepd up and down again, opening his paws to reveal a blackbird. He shoved it along to Vern. "We can save the Harpy for later. You can just snack on that now if you wish."

Vern noticed a harpy being shoved to her. She sniffed the big fella and staring bowing on it. She finshed it and smiled, wagging her tail.

Jei sniffed the air and looked around. He smiled to Vern and Cinder but continued to turn his head in all directions. He felt like he was being watched. "He-"
A white blur flashed in front of him and made him cut his sentence sort. He fell backwards and looked up at his attacker.

"Ha! Did I scare yah?" Tessa chirped.

Jei laughed. "No, silly girl."

Vern licked her lips and saw Jei. Vern smiled at him and countied on with Cinder.

Cinder headed along the border of the river. The further he went, the emptier the river was.

Rosalie noticed Jei and Tessa. Her silver fur glittered happily. "Hey!" she said, smiling gently as she bounded over with her soft golden eyes glowing.
