"Yes, I love the water! I'd always go swimming as a young colt, I'd practically stay out all night in the cool, moonlit water.". He replied, swimming in circles around a frog that happened to be passing by. The dragonflies buzzed over their heads, tints of blue dancing across their bellies from the water's reflection. It was a very pretty scene no doubt, no wonder the humans would always try to find these Kelpies, they know the beauteous and wonderful secrets of this place.

Amara walked around her sapphire eyes the only thing that was visible in the nighttime sky. She knew she was outside herd-lands but something had sparked her interest this night, she noticed how the fireflies seemed to be heading someplace else. She followed them, her eyes lit up by the little light the bugs had given her. She came into a clearing, there were Kelpies everywhere! She looked around stopping as she noticed three were all communicating with each other while two were swimming. She noticed one as Aru, one of the stallions of the herd, who had been swimming with a light colored mare. She stood still her tail flicking as she watched the others having fun with one another, she was afraid to socialize so she stayed back.

Sahara smiled at his story that he had told her, by the sounds of it he must've been a cute little colt. "I've never really swam much. It's probably because I'm an awful swimmer...period!" Sahara laughed as she looked at the stallion playfully. "Well I've always been the adventurous type...never really had a family either. My father fled and my mother died when I was just a filly. So I guess I had to survive on my own." She informed him of her sugar-coated past. She splashed him with some water again, smiling to see how he would respond to her playfulness.

"Good fruit, why, you look a little plump yourself young one," Shallo smiled, "Nah, this isn't the best place to get fruit, but it is the best place for grass, since it's close to the water, the grass is always at it's greenest." Shallo leaned his head down and took a big mouth-full of the grass. It was the best he'd ever ate. "Delicious, you have got to try some." Shallo said while little bits of grass fell out of his mouth. He pawed at the dirt, it was also very moist, and sometimes small puddles of water would form in the fresh hole. But no water dripped out of the soft earth. Shallo sighed, "We'll have to find a different place to drink if you want any water, it's too dry here."

I laughed as I heard his reply. Indeed, the grass was absolutely amazing! Probably the best I've ever tasted. Well, sure he sounded a bit grumpy and oddly nice, this stallion was being very kind towards me. Instead of punishing me for what I did, he chose to take a walk with me and teach me about the nice grass. "Old man, you have a nice taste for grass, huh." I chewed the salty grass I had taken from the mossy ground. Sure, there was some moss here and there, but that worked as a nice sauce for the whole thing. "Well yes, water would be nice now." I said, lifting my head.

Damien attempted to step in front
of the mare when the sound was heard, but
He realized the little mare was already on it,

And when she greeted the stallion,
happily and went to see him,
Damien awkwardly stood behind
the talking two, and when she
invited him to stay with Her
he couldn't help but feel a
bit let down. this stallion odviously was a past fancy she had,
And Damien decided it was just best to leave.
"Oh, and Damien too, come join us,"
She had said
"you might actually like it,"

I'm the one who brought you here.
He thought,
I knew we would both like it.

He smiled politely
"You know what? I actually think I'm gonna bounce.
Mirela looked at him with strange emotion
"Uhmm..You two have a nice night,"

He said with a bit of pain.
But he knew now there probably
was no chance now with Mirela.
And it would be awkward to be
sitting next to his friend while this
stallion glared at him.

"I guess that's just life." He replied, understanding exactly what it's like to lose a parent. His face was dripping wet from the water Sahara had splashed at him, so he just gave a giant smirk and dove under the water. Bubbles poured out of his nose, his attempt to keep from breathing in the liquid. He seemed to have disappeared from the world, completely hidden by the water. "Boo!" was his exclamation when he resurfaced, only inches away from his companions face. He grinned widely, splashed as much water as he could, turned around, and swam off before she could react. That's when the other mare caught his attention. A Blue Roan, about his height. "Who's that?" He asked Sahara, over his shoulder.

Mirela felt her shoulders slump when Damien said he was going to leave, she didn't want that! Not at all! What if Aroken just...left her again, leaving Mirela high and dry by the pond with no clue where to go? Besides that, it had been Damien who had taken her here in the first place....

Feeling completely torn, and more than a little confused, the little mare looked back and forth between Aroken and Damien. True, the two might not hit it off at first, but maybe they all WOULD get along! It was an unlikely thing admittedly, but there was a chance, wasn't there?

"No..Damien...don't...don't go. Please, it wouldn't be the same without you." Her voice trailed off uncertainly, trying to figure out some way to get around this whole mess. "I don't want you to leave, we were having so much fun...and what if I can't find you again?" Uncertainty trailed through her, maybe Damien just didn't want to be around her.

Letting her head droop the white brindle mare finally sighed sorrowfully and looked up at Damien with pain in her eyes, "I'll understand if you don't want to be around me though, I just thought we could all get along." She whispered painfully, her heart as torn as her mind at this point.

Amara watched carefully over some fireflies that had been keeping her company for a while. She gave a small smile, feeling at ease as she watched the creatures dance around in the night sky. She looked up past the fireflies now and toward the moon and stars, she loved the sight of the moon as if it called out to her. She could see from the corner of her eye that the two that were swimming were now paying attention to her. She wasn't sure whether she should flee or stay and socialize, knowing her shy personality it might be good for her.

Sahara jumped as she got soaked by the water he had splashed all over her. She swam next to him, her eyes following his to a Kelpie who had blended into the night and had eyes that popped from her coat color. "I'm not sure actually. Never really seen her around." Sahara replied to his question wondering what was going through his mind. She looked around toward the others that seemed to be not-so-happy anymore, her eyes travelled back to the stunning Kelpie. She noticed the Kelpie was female by her horns that spiraled above her head, this made her feel a bit uncomfortable.

"Should we go make ourselves welcoming? It looks like she's alone." He replied, his friendly nature taking over. He was always up to making new friends, which can sometimes annoy his old ones. He didn't wait for Sahara to reply and started swimming forward. He smiled a little, to put the new Mare at ease. "Hello there, I'm Aru, and this is Sahara," He said, looking over to her.

Amara watched as the two had started to come closer, she stood still a little afraid but she waited as the stallion's deep voice overcame her fear. She waited trying to find her voice within her body, her eyes glanced from the right side of her to the stallion. "I-I'm Amaryllis...most call me Amara." She introduced herself her ears against her head in fear. She could see the stallion's smile trying to find courage to not be as shy around the two. She watched as the mare had approached her, she was a little shorter than her and the stallion which made her smile a little.

Sahara watched as Aru just up and left her in the water, she laughed and shook her head agreeing to be friendly. She trotted over trying to get to the group quickly not liking to be alone, "That's a really pretty name!" She exclaimed with a smile, she wondered how the mare had gotten this name. She noticed how she felt a bit uncomfortable, this made her look up at Aru with curiosity on how he might handle this situation. She looked back at the mare looking over her trying to figure out a little more about her. "Don't worry about us we're as gentle as bunny rabbits!" She giggled trying to make friends.

"We wouldn't hurt a fly!" Aru exclaimed, "It's nice to meet you Amara. May I asked what you're doing out this late alone?" He asked, more curious than usual. The smiled was still shining on his face, his golden eyes bright and gleaming. The moon was now high in the sky, a beautiful sight. His pelt was starting to fluff out, the drying water making him seem like a giant stuffed animal. It was all very Ironic, his large frame and deep voice never fitting his playful personality and now fluffy fur.
