Lightningpaw sat awkwardly as the two toms spoke. "Um..," he said tapping his tail.

Fang smiled and then lead him to the abandoned badger sett he called home. He padded down the tunnel into the main den. There were other rooms connecting to the main den. "Home, sweet home," he hummed at the roomy space. "I need to get some bracken and moss for your nest," he observed.

"You know I think the elder's den could use some fresh moss." To please Moontail he added "I am sure you can find a cat to do the job." He left Moontail and Lighteningpaw even though he would have practiced fighting more, Cedarclaw saw Thistlestar and padded over to his leader. "Is something troubling you?" He was concerned for his leader.

Lightningpaw stifled a groan. He didn't want to getstupid old moss.

Fang padded around a bit, twitching his whiskers at the tomcar's curiosity. "Go ahead, but I think in one of those rooms is a hawk I caught this morning. If your hungry you can have it. And for your nest, you might want to keep some feathers," he said, sitting to groom his fur a bit, embarrassed am that is was so messy.

DuskLight nodded in agreement, watching as SpeckledMoon lay down. He laughed at her words "No shade, and the dens are too warm and stuffy to provide any comfort" His gaze softened as he watched her, tail curling. "I would offer the den but its unbearably hot in there" DuskLight stared but before he could act he shook his head as if to shake his own thoughts out of it. He briskly stood up "I'm not sure where WhistlePaw has gone so I'm off to get juniper and poppy seeds." He ducked into the den, nosing through the herb storage. He emerged, jaw full. He placed a few poppy seeds in front of SpeckledMoon. "If the heat becomes too unbearable to rest." DuskLight quickly padded out into the forest for herbs, not turning back to see her reaction.

Cedarclaw was taken off by her disturbances but he offered his best wisdom. "She will watch over you from StarClan. And you will be here with your clan who supports you and will lay down their own lives for you." Cedarclaw hoped that helped at least just a little bit.
