Alphonse followed beside his brother. As he walked the trees seemed to grow taller, the bushes denser than before, and the sound of rain and bird song filled the air. "We've never been this deep in the forest before.." He murmured.

He felt like crossing but the thought of being swept away in the cold waters sent shivers down his spine. "Hey um, do you see any way to get across the water?" He cleared his throat.

The tabby mix smiled, "Earl it is." She looked to her paws, feeling lost for words. "So..if you don't live with housefolk are you feral?" Cookie mewed in curiosity.
