Owlstar sat at the front of her den when she noticed Pebblecloud approaching. She sensed this was something important... and personal. "Greetings, Pebblecloud," she meowed. Owlstar gestured her white tail tip to her den, which was a hollowed out place in the back side of the Sunrock, covered by moss. "Come in," she said firmly and dipped her head to the queen.

''Hello, Owlstar..'' Pebblecloud meowed respectfully, padding in slowly. She sat down in the hollowed place, curling her tail round her paws. ''Owlstar, this is about my kits, Dustkit and Stonekit.'' she said seriously.

Owlstar's ears pricked up at her tone as she padded in after Pebblecloud. "I hope anything isn't wrong, but even StarClan can't change everything..." She beckoned for her to continue.

''Well.. you see, my kits are.. not a blessing. a curse.'' Pebblecloud said, spitting out the last word. ''I crossed the border as an apprentice when I was told not to. I got cursed with these kits, and no mate so I look strange.'' Pebblecloud cried.

"No mate... How can that be?" Owlstar looked down, her eyes shifting, thinking of a logical explanation. "You just crossed the border! You realize there're apprentices that murdered cats before... But your kits are good, no cat would ever guess that they were brought by the Dark Forest if they were. They are part of the Clan."
