The 'How much is this pet worth in C$?' Thread!XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX1. What does ED / AB / SB / CB / MI mean?ED is short for Enddate. It's the date the auction is supposed to end.
AB is short for Autobuy. It's the price you can buy the pet immediately without the need to bid or wait.
SB is short for Starting bid. It's the minimum price for this auction. You can bid more than this, but not less.
CB is short for current bid. Here you can see the current highest bid and the person that made said bid.
MI is short for minimum increase. That just means your bid needs to be at least worth 10C$ more than the previous. For Example the current bid is 60C$, you can bid 70C$, but not 61C$. It doesn't stop you to bid 75C$ thou. The MI hopefully prevents spam.
2. What is a snipe guard?In auctions such as this there would be the possibility to 'snipe' the item in the last seconds right before the auction ends. A snipe guard prevents this, as the auction will be extended when a bid is placed in the last minutes. It gives the other participants a chance to raise their bid.
3. Why the conversion?Many won't be able to pay in C$ or don't want to. And that's okay. I wanted to give the option to pay in pets. In the end, it's just a possibility and doesn't have to be used. The conversion is there to get a value so that I easily can determine if the bid is higher than the previous or not.
4. Why don't you provide a link to the base and artist?To be honest, I'd love to. But the side I would need to link has a lot of content that isn't suited for children and thus I refrain from linking it here. Neither the artist nor the base is SFW.
