Gabe is quite the simple horse, although he does have a long list of secrets or things he'd just like to keep to himself. He has a extremely non-chalante attitude and finds joy in simple things even if his flashy appearance may make it seem otherwise. Going with the flow and a majority of the time just not thinking to hard about things before doing them. This can cause him to look stubborn but in reality he'd rather just not waste time thinking about things to much cause there's not enough time for that in life. Even so all the things he passes by tends to haunt him , having minor anxiety about certain situations especially if he finds them serious, hiding by a false mellow expression.
Character's biggest secret:
Gabe was a younger colt when this secret arose. He has quite a few secrets that he keeps to himself but this one was one of the few that actually affected a specific part of his life. Gabe had newly joined his current herd with the other horses he kept his distance trailing behind the others. That particular day was like any other strolling through he grass , hands in pockets when he caught a glance of something white in all the wet dewy grass from the mornings rain. Curiosity is what broke him from his group and drawn him to whatever it was that laid in the grass. Getting closer the smell caught him as it wasn't good in the slightest , the sweet smell of death. It was the corpse of a majestic creature that lay there in all it's decayed glory. The corpse of a beast known as a unicorn, the only thing kept in prestige condition was it's horns and hooves. Most people probably would have passed it by, but after hearing all the magical stories of how unicorn horns were used for medical purposes, and all there mythical powers; the young colt couldn't help the temptation of taking it. After much cleaning shaving and disinfecting of the magical artifact it was made into the perfect accessory. He started to wear the horn often but not to the point of obsession until he met a special horse , which can be read about more in the relationships section.

In my world of centaurs they are active parts of society. Centaurs can format these things called contracts with humans , it's a physical piece of paper not like demon contracts or anything. In which Centaurs will complete a certain set of tasks over a specific amount of time according to what they agreed on, and in return the centaurs may get whatever they asked of the farmer and was written in this contract be it food , water, housing, or actual money.
Then there are Wild centaurs, which are free centaurs who don't form contracts they work for themselves as a herd and cultivate land on there own building there own housing and such. There are also bachelor herds which is mostly composed of young adult males who and they take on small odd jobs with little contracts that don't require much of them. The Herd Gabe would be apart of a group of bachelor's that I call my Rowdy boi's which I left a link to there image there for you ♡ , so he'd be the type to go around with his group and do small jobs that aren't worthy of a whole entire contract.
Everything below is somewhat important , as it talks about the two people he hangs out with most.
Now about personal relationships.Upon doing many small requests and odd jobs Gabe had met many varying breeds and personalities of other centaurs. It was just one particular job for a carriage company when he met Asani, his soon to be bset friend. Having to pull carriages together he was paired with Asani and went through many trivial issues on this particular job. Especially being grouped with a complete stranger seeing as Asani was from a different herd. Although they worked through this gradually ,at first it being awkward and hard to strike up conversations. Soon turning into laughter and playfulness as they got a hang of things and became open with each other. In a few hours of working together they became friends , and decided to keep in touch even after both moving on to other careers. Often deciding times to meet up until they would just start to stray away from each other's herds normally to meet and just hang out. Even though Gabe was gay, and Asani hetero that didn't matter and they formed a normal friendly relationship.
Then there is Ayo. He is a part of the same herd as Asani and Gabe's boyfriend and the reason for him wearing his horn a long time. Gabe met Ayo later after meeting Asani, although they did meet in the same circumstances of having the same job. Often seeing Gabe and Asani hang out he kinda lurked about the two in a third wheel kind of way. Slowly conversation started to build between the two until they started to hang out on there own and realized they enjoyed being together a lot more then they thought, and decided mutually to bump up there status from friends to Boyfriends. The only issue that arose from this was , the fact that Gabe never told him that he was a really not a unicorn and the fact that his horn was fake. Even though Ayo never said anything about only dating unicorns the idea that Ayo would be angry about him lying honestly made Gabe nervous. That Ayo wouldn't like him as much because of not bringing it up , or even neglect there relationship. Even if it seems unlikely it still bothered him , and every time he tried to bring it up, those thoughts would pop up once again in his head and cause him to stop in his tracks. Eventually after a year of dating Gabe would confess about his situation , so that even if it did end , at least he wouldn't be as heart broken about it, becoming glad knowing that it was ended before any serious life changing decisions were to be made. Ayo on the other hand didn't seem to bothered about it, or in fact non-chalante about the whole ordeal , he still loved him all the same and they continued there relationship. Gabe still often wears the horn not for the sake of keeping a secret but more of now just for a accesory.
Gabe's bird is named Mango, and she is his child pretty much. He loves her and spoils her as much as possible showing her a large amount of affection. When he has a problem or the world is just getting to him and no one else is there he often goes to Mango for comfort. Even though she is small and doesn't have big arms to hug , or is able to kiss him. She has a big heart and that's what matters most to him.
Why do you want the character:
The original reason for this was a hot mess haha. I want Gabe because I like his design, I'm not going to go into detail why, as if I didn't like anything about it I wouldn't be willing to write this much haha. I don't really participate in these types of competition's, I just generally find them unfair? Some people have enough time , others dont. Some people have money to commission artist some don't. Some are better at drawing that others, so I regularly don't participate in these. Although this boy, is precious. I feel I have a lot I can do with him, I am capable of drawing him and I have a place for him, so what reason is there these not at least try? I do have a diligent amount of characters, and I do take commissions often. So I said why not for once you know treat myself? Actually take the time to compete in something and try hard? Like you know you want them badly , but you don't honestly show how much you want them. I tried my hardest and spared as much time as I could for this child, and if I don't win yeah it will be kinda sad, but thats life not everyone can be winners. I'm just glad that I actually tried to compete in something for myself personally not for money reasons or promotion. Just something that I actually wanted to do. I know it might not be the most ethical reason and more personal, but heck in the end I enjoyed competiting although this is awfully nerve wracking. Sorry this kind of turned into a rant/stress relief.
