Vivian, Indigo, Sorren

While Indigo was talking to the alien lady, Sorren glanced around. A couple walked up to the table and he smiled at them. No reason why he can't be friendly. "Hey," he said to them, leaning on the table next to Indigo.

Kaulaur 'Drift' Hadar of Nimburu | Female | Nandu | Tags: Indigo, Sorren, Callum, Katrina

Kaulaur didn't acknowledge the new arrivals. Instead she took a step away from the table and scanned the room methodically, looking for anything out of place that would give her a clue as to what had happened. Calm. Stay calm. damn it, calm down. So far, there had been nothing in the room that worried her directly, but she knew something was bound to happen sooner or later. Nobody would go through the trouble of getting her off a starship just to plop her and several others into a wallpapered room. There was also the possibility that this was some virtual reality, which was possibly more likely than her having ever left the ship. But even if that was the case, it would not have much of an effect on her course of actions- nor would it have made her any less terrified. If someone had taken her from the ship, it was possible they knew who she was- no, they'd have had to get through Palva, and if they'd seen Palva, they'd know who she was too. She wondered numbly if Palva was still alive. In fact, it was a wonder that she wasn't dead already. Maybe they didn't know who she was. She wondered briefly how long it would be before someone realized and sent someone down to take her to her execution.
She turned back to the others nearby. Inspecting the room in itself would be easier if she had a better idea of what she might be looking for. For that, she needed to have a guess at why they were here; and for that, she needed to know more about the others. Reaching into one of the pockets of her military uniform, she pulled out a stylus and a folded sheet of transparent plastic, about three by four inches. When she unfolded it, the flexible sheet stiffened enough that she could write on it without it bending, and the graphene screen lit up with a faint blue-white glow. She turned back to the other four near the table and cleared her throat quietly but insistently. "If we want to have a better idea of why we might be here, I'm going to need a bit more information from all of you. If there's anything blatantly obvious that we have in common, that could at least clue us in as to what has happened here. We can cross species off the list, and probably also anything to do with inter- or intra-system conflicts, because I'm not a citizen of any planet, and, no offense if I'm wrong, but none of you exactly seem the spacefarer type. Now, I'm going to ask and I'm going to want an honest answer here: do any of you have a particularly tarnished criminal record?" She said the last part quite nonchalantly, though her eyes never looked up from the screen.

Vivian, Indigo, Sorren

Indigo looked up at the woman and bit his lip, not liking that someone else had took charge. Well, he should have done so sooner. "I don't remember anything from my past," he said flatly. "I've been stuck in a bloody forest for three years. Ask them, they're new." Sorren glanced over, but shook his head. "No, not that I remember. I never committed any crimes before coming to the forest."

Vivian's eyes flicked around nervously. Before coming to the forest, that was exactly what she had been doing. She and her...freinds, was it? Had been about to rob...somewhere. Great, now she'd lost even more details. What would Sorren and Indigo think of her if she told the truth? "No," she said casually. "I never did anything like that."

Aria

Aria cocked her head. Well this girl seemed REAL friendly. Make everyone immediately uncomfortable, why didn't she?

"Hey, let's start with names first, shall we, Madame? We can maybe start digging into painful and embarrassing histories afterwards?"

Vivian, Indigo, Sorren

Looking over at the feline, Indigo snorted in amusement. "Agreed."

Kaulaur 'Drift' Hadar of Nimburu | Female | Nandu | Tags: Indigo, Sorren, Callum, Katrina, Aria

Kaulaur frowned, her eyes flitting from person to person suspiciously. She wondered how many of them were being honest, and how many simply didn't have the guts to admit it. Perhaps that wasn't it then. Perhaps that wasn't why she was here. She felt almost relieved. Almost.
Her eyes settled on the cat, and she raised a skeptical eyebrow. Intelligent, speaking animals, in particular domestic ones such as cats, were not exactly a rarity, but it still surprised her to see one here. "My apologies," she said somewhat politely, though her voice suggested her annoyance. She itched to squeeze as much information out of them as she could and get herself out of there as fast as possible, but she resisted the urge. Paranoia was just a part of the package deal.
She hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Drift. My name is Drift." Giving her real name away would not be the wisest course, she decided.

(idk why I'm laughing
but I am
this is fabulous)

Jessica & Beck

Jessica huffed in annoyance when the door did not lead out, but rather to another room with equally disgusting wallpaper. But this room was full of people, and other... things. Creatures. There was a small crowd in the center revolving around a strange being with bright skin. She held her hands defensively up at the proposition. "Hey, I don't know about the rest of you, but my record's clean." Of course, this was only partially true. She had done some things that weren't necessarily legal, but so far she hadn't gotten in trouble. Unless maybe that's what this place was for. Either way, they didn't need to know her name.

"I'm Beck, innocent as well." the boy added in quietly. He was looking around nervously, probably much more alarmed at the sight of all these people than Jessica. He was slowly backing up. She sensed his discomfort but ignored him. If he didn't want to get involved, fine, but she wasn't one to just stand by.

Altair & Q
(Tagging Kaulaur)

The sight the two boys were met with was rather odd. Altair's previous suspicions had been confirmed, yes, but why were they all here? "Most are coming up as humans," signed Q. He pointed to Jessica from across the room, "And I suggest we avoid her, I believe our timelines are intricately connected in some way." Altair wanted to ask questions about it, but that was probably all the information the android had to offer.

Out of all the people here, Altair was most comfortable listening to the girl in the middle of the room. She sounded competent. At the mention of a criminal record, he stepped forward, Q trailing almost nervously behind. "What she's saying makes sense," he spoke up, "I must admit my record isn't the cleanest. And you're not the only spacefarer present. My name is Altair." He easily towered over most in the room, a fact that he was becoming acutely aware of. He probably had a good two feet on this Drift person. After some spoke up about not doing anything wrong, he shrugged. "I'm guessing that's not necessarily the reason all of us are here, then." He couldn't think of many similarities between them all. Was there even an explicit reason behind all this?

Aria

Aria rolled her eyes. This lady seemed hardly the person you'd want to invite to tea, much less be stuck in a room with. But she herself had brought up the name idea so it seemed she would be best to reply.
"I am Aria. Pleasure to meet you Drift."
She paused after speaking. She'd become very good at this whole forced politeness that the upper circle delighted in.

Vivian, Indigo, Sorren

"I'm Indigo. Pleasure to meet you all." He relaxed his grip on the bow. No one seemed particularly threatening, except for the feline creatures, which made him a tad uneasy.

"Vivian," the black-haired girl said, still gripping her dagger. "And I'm Sorren," Sorren said in a cheerful voice, slipping his blade back in its hold.

Nav

Nav was awake. This was not something he was happy about. He attempted to fix this, but his current surroundings weren't conducive to sleep. His blanket seemed to have disappeared, and whatever he was lying on was far less comfortable than his bed. After a few minutes of attempting to get back to sleep, he gave up and took a look at where the heck he was. His surroundings could only be describes as odd. He was in a tiny room with ludicrous polka dot wallpaper that was completely empty except for a door that appeared to be made of wood for some strange reason.
He didn't think he was going to figure out anything from that room, so tried the door. It was unlocked, so he went through, and immediately began to regret it. The door lead to a large room with the same wallpaper, but unlike the room he had come from, this one was full of people. Well, mostly people. He also spied several large animals and what appeared to be a humanoid fish straight out of some weird alien adventure novel.
Hearing the others introduce themselves, he said, "I'm Nav, and I don't have any criminal record." This was technically true. His father had paid to have every petty crime Nav committed erased from the records.

Eirian, Cy, and Kalyna

Eirian was the first to wake up. This was normal, she had never needed much sleep. However, her surroundings were not so normal. Wherever she was, it was certainly not the Imperdible, where she'd gone to sleep. Logically, she couldn't be anywhere but the Imperdible - the nearest place was Azura Station, their next stop, but it was still almost two days travel away. Although this place was nearly as terribly decorated as her ship, it definitely wasn't a part of it.
At least her crew was here too. She gently shook Kalyna awake, and saw that Cy was already starting to wake up.
"Where are we?" asked Cy blearily, rubbing his eyes.
"No idea," said Eirian. "Wherever it is, it looks like the only place to go is through that door."
Nobody had anything else to say about it, so the small group went through the door into the main room, Eirian with her gun at the ready, the younger two still waking up. None of them were eager to go near the masses of unusual people in the main room, so they waited in a small group at the edge of the room.
Hearing the odd blue lady's question, Eirian was the first to respond. "I'm Eirian, these are Cy and Kalyna," she said, glad the cat that for some reason seemed to be able to talk had stopped everyone from sharing their criminal record. She didn't exactly want to tell a big group of strangers that she was a pirate and guilty of murder.
