‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾Moonclan☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙
attending: halfmoon, blizzardstorm, snowpetal, magnoliamask, smokewhisker, applefall, flakestone, cometpaw, guppypaw

Halfmoon - leader - 53 moons - female - tags; squirrelflash [evergreen park]
Grateful for the open invitation, the grey molly shifted closer to settle in beside her new companion, tail curling neatly over her small paws as she grew more comfortable. It always took a moment for Halfmoon to ease into a conversation and begin to feel comfortable, but the moment the russet molly began to speak she knew there would be no trouble in the two getting along quite quickly. At the other’s words Halfmoon’s grey eyes darted over to the idle leaders, her head tilting ever so slightly as she studied the quieter felines with newfound curiosity, unable to hide the amused twitch of her whiskers. ”Oh stars I would hope they’re a bunch more friendly than it seems from here, I couldn’t do a very good job leading my clan if I were quite so stoic”, the soft laughter ringing with the molly’s words showed she hadn’t quite meant what she said, but wasn’t one to pass up the opportunity for some shared mischief. The usual warm smile graced her fine features again as Squirrelflash introduced herself, curiosity peaking as it so often did at the mention of unknown clans. ”Im Halfmoon, leader of Moonclan, it’s a pleasure to meet you Squirrelflash. As boring as it always seems to sound; how have you been holding up these past changing seasons?” Halfmoon found herself genuinely curious to learn more of the red molly’s group, having learnt so long ago from Mountainstar how pivotal it was to learn from the stories of other leaders.

Blizzardstorm - deputy - 50 moons - male - tags; tanglestep [aspenclan]
As predicated by his leader, the white tom's mind had been drifting back to his family left at the caves during their trek down from the mountains. Honestly he couldn't help it; since the sudden loss of two of his kits, and the departure of another, he couldn't stop from fretting over his daughter & mate, despite knowing Peachstrike would very quickly bat him over the ears for his worries. Finally forcing his focus back on the gathering around him at the teasing from Halfmoon the deputy gave a huff in response, the natural grin returning to his broad features at the irony of the molly telling him not to fret, as if Blizzardstorm wasn't aware her own mind had been focused elsewhere only moments prior. Allowing her to nudge him to the side, the large tom sighed quietly as he headed towards the growing group of deputies some pawsteps ahead, he was sure Halfmoon must have still felt just as out-of-place among other strangers of the same rank seeing as he continuously needed the reminder he was in fact deputy now, and had been for a number of moons. Before his scrambled mind could return to what could be happening back at home, Blizzardstorm seated his large frame nearest to a dark pelted tabby seemingly around the same age, his fluffy tail coming to rest neatly over his paws as he turned his focus to a new possible companion. "The journey here treated you well, ..."? The deputy trailed off quietly, hoping for the tom to supply his name.

Snowpetal - healer - 35 moons - female - tags; amberpool [coldclan]
It felt slightly strange for Snowpetal to be leading a younger member of her family to the gathering, despite the fact she was absolutely sure her nephew could manage on his own and look after his apprentice without trouble, she also wasn't about to let her sister down. The thought of the older molly still brought a pang of grief despite the moons that have since passed, and if she were honest there were times she looked at Flakestone and remembered the pain of losing her own mother just as young, as if reminding her of her sister wasn't enough. Oh stars that sounds awful! Burning with the regret at thinking of her own nephew in such a way Snowpetal was quick to turn her mind elsewhere, like to the gathering, of course! The white healer felt a lot more confident in her role compared to the last few gatherings she had attended, feeling as though she no longer wished for the guidance of her mentor to get her through certain conversations and the awkwardness of meeting other healers for the first time. Unable to help puffing her chest just slightly, her pale green eyes were quick to find a friendly-seeming companion among the other gathered healers and began to head towards the ginger and white molly with a warm smile. "Hi, I don't think we've met before, I'm Snowpetal".

Magnoliamask - warrior - 36 moons - female - tags; open

Smokewhisker - warrior - 48 moons - male - tags; autumngiggle [outback runners]
Having rather enjoyed the quiet walk all the way from the caves, with the warm companionship of Magnoliamask at his side, stepping into the loud and bustling clearing had very quickly drawn the large tom to the outskirts. Despite the beckoning of the beautiful molly whom had become a dear friend over the past few moons, the older tom sought the companionship of the more quiet crowd on the edges of the gathering, or perhaps even just a spot in a rare ray of warm sun to rest until Halfmoon decided it was time to trek back home. There were still some fleeting moments where Smokewhisker remembered his time as leader of his own clan what seemed an entire lifetime ago, though the peace of being able to seclude himself from the endless chattering was a very welcomed part of his new life. Finding himself a place to sit amongst a scarce group of equally quiet strangers, the grey tom settled in comfortably as his one eye flickered about in search of Magnoliamask's familiar pelt. After a few moments the warrior gave a small sigh of defeat as the strain began to give a dull ache behind his left eye, his head lowering to instead focus on the soil beneath his paws as he waited for the mild pain to ease. Once he lifted his head again Smokewhisker was surprised to find a molly not too far from where he'd been sitting, and once his slightly blurry vision cleared the warrior cleared his throat softly before giving a small smile in her direction as way of greeting. "Not the biggest fan of large groups"?

Applefall - hunter - 27 moons - female - tags; rosethorn [aspenclan]
The hunter's gaze had been straying to her young to-be the entire walk down to the gathering spot, nerves bubbling within her chest at the thought of being responsible for the molly and needing to return her home perfectly unscathed & happy to quiet the fretting of Goldenswoop. As much as she respected the older hunter, Applefall had forgotten how worrisome mothers could get once their kits were out of sight. The fleeting thought was quick to bring the familiar pang of loss rattling against her ribs, had it really been so long since she'd lost her own mother? How scary. Applefall would surely rather her sister claw her ears off than forget the coddling of her parents oh so many moons ago. It was rather easy to have her mind at ease once they stepped into the busy clearing, multitudes of voices filling any silences and strangers slowly filling any empty spaces among the many groups seated around the large space. It didn't take too long for the hunter to find herself nearing a younger looking calico, a companion she hoped was as kind as she appeared. "Hi, is it alright if I sit beside you?" Applefall dipped her head quickly in greeting as she scooted closer to the molly, finding she had become a lot shyer around strangers compared to her rather boisterous behavior back home.

Flakestone - hunter - 29 moons - male - tags; open

Cometpaw - hunter-to-be - 6 moons - male - tags; open

Guppypaw - hunter-to-be - 6 moons - female - tags; sunpaw [outback runners]
Despite being aware of her mentor's watchful gaze filled with mild worry, the young hunter-to-be was much too focused on her shared excitement with Cometpaw at attending their first gathering! It was a wonder how the young molly didn't trip over her excited paws as she bounced with each step, tail high and a bright grin having been a permanent fixture since their departure from the caves. Though it felt strange not to be walking beside Mackerelpaw, she had at least been able to tease her brother endlessly before they left, sticking out her tongue and everything! It wasn't often she got to have the upper-paw between the two of them. Walking into the gathering felt all at once magical and suddenly frightening, she hadn't ever thought there could be so many more clans outside their mountain home, let alone with so many members! Oh she'd be sure to tell the rest of the to-bes about the sea of differing pelts and rise of voices filling the large clearing. Maybe even Foxtrot would listen and turn it into one of his famous stories! "Oh stars"! Guppypaw could barely contain her surprised shriek as she tumbled over her own paws, sending up a small cloud of dust around her before rising slowly again, her pelt burning in embarrassment.. well that's certainly being left out of the story. Giving her head a quick shake to rid her nose of the dust, she lifted her gaze to another young to-be only a pawstep or so away from where she had fallen, and with a quick embarrassed smile the young molly approached. "I don't suppose you saw all that.. right? ahh I'm Guppypaw, a to-be of Moonclan, nice to meet you anyhow", a polite dip of her head followed her rather rushed words.

Whiskered Away ✰ Gathering #003

North✰star | leader | female | tags: open
    Northstar observes from a distance.

Thornblaze | warrior | male | tags: open
“Hey, Night” Thornblaze said to catch the other tom’s attention before he could walk away. “Yes?”, Night responded. Thorn walked up to him with a sly smile. “Why did you decide to come today?”. Nighfall’s head drooped to the side. The green eyes watched Thornblaze curiously. “What do you mean?” Thornblaze sat down, the smile not leaving his face. “Do you come from one of those clans? Or maybe you have a partner in each of them. You seem like the type, you sly dog.” Thorn nudged Night’s shoulder with his paw. Nightfall looked only more confused. “No”, he answered seriously. “I don’t know anyone here. At least, I haven’t seen anyone I would know yet. I’ll go have a look around.” He walked away, leaving Thornblaze to his thoughts. He would bet Nightfall had history here and he was about to find it out.

Nightfall | warrior | male | tags: open
Nightfall’s soft paws trudged across the grounds of the gathering. He kept to the outside, to the shadows, walking silently as the night itself. He observed the other cats and scanned their faces looking for someone he knew. It was true that he had history with other clans and rogues. For a long time he could not find his place in the world, but that was long ago and far away from here. He heard that Whiskered Away was where you could have a new beginning and that’s exactly what he wanted.

evergreen park 4

EVERGREEN PARK
squirrelflash: pathfinder, 57m, ♀; tags: open
indentalready, squirrelflash had a good feeling about halfmoon, and it only compounded further when the other leader took the light teasing and joking in stride. it was times like these when squirrelflash couldn't help but wish that evergreen park was closer to other clans, so that she could cross paths with these cats more often outside of gatherings. still, as fun as the light mischief was at the expense of the others leaders, squirrelflash simply couldn't pass up the chance to talk about the clan she loved so dearly. "i'll try to keep my answer as unboring as possible, if i can," squirrelflash joked. "thankfully the colder weather hasn't yet scared away all of our prey, but our medicine cats are bracing everyone for a blizzard every minute, it seems, constantly checking with our deputy to make sure he isn't running anyone into the ground. but, for the most part, we've simply been so busy training our apprentices. half of the time they're plenty motivated and ready to learn, and the other times they're too busy trying to show off and chase leaves that they wouldn't notice a mouse right in front of their nose," squirrelflash said. still, he tone remained light, and she let out a laugh as she continued: "and don't worry, i'm including my own kits in that as well. they might be two of the worst instigators in the entire clan." she flicked her tail good-naturedly, unable to keep the fondness for her kits out of her voice. "how has moonclan been doing? all ready for winter?"

mammoth: trailblazer, 49m, ♂; tags: sorry
indentif mammoth noticed the molly's strange looks, he didn't comment on it. if anything, he was used to getting odd looks from others and he let it roll easily off of his shoulders. "it's nice to meet you, and i'm glad that you could make it to the gathering. it's always nice to meet new cats. how is your clan?" he asked, drawing his tail closer to himself to keep it from being stepped on. "i am. well, our leader, squirrelflash, has a bit of an imagination. so i'm actually called a trailblazer, but it's the same as a deputy. how about you, are you your clan's deputy?"

autumnpool & persimmonpaw: pioneer & trainee, 36m & 11m, ♀; tags: berryshade & chicoryspring
indentautumnpool let out a relieved sigh when berryshade reciprocated, feeling her shoulders droop as the tension seeped from her body. "the time really does fly by so fast, i can barely believe it. it seems like just yesterday they were born," she said, purring as she paused to watch their daughters greet one another. "but you, now you haven't seemed to have aged a day. really - you look good. how's vagaryclan been treating you?"
indentmeanwhile, persimmonpaw gasped when chicoryspring corrected her. "you're a warrior?" she asked before nudging her sister with her nose. "that's amazing, congratulations! i'm still training, since evergreen park makes us train for basically forever, but i'll get a name to be just as good as yours, just wait. i'll be the best pioneer anyone's ever met."

ravenwings: pioneer, 47m, ♀; tags: wispwillow
indentjust the thought of her kits back at camp brought a wistful, proud smile to ravenwings' face, though she listened intently as wispwillow talked about her new clan. "wow, it sounds like it must be a dfficult test if so many apprentices have to leave the clan..." ravenwings nearly shuttered at the thought, unable to even bare the thought of seeing her kits be forced to leave the clan - she was thankful that evergreen park was different. however, she was quick to perk up again as wispwillow continued, and ravenwings beamed. "congratulations to you and your apprentice, then. you must be happy to have some extra paws to help you out, i'm sure. do you like being a medicine cat, then?"

QUICKCLAN
cyanstar: leader, 77m, ♀; tags: open
indentcyanstar, admittedly, loved the gatherings. he loved watching his clanmates minge with friends and family from across the borders, and he also loved getting to meet the other leaders. as the moons wore on, he couldn't help but feel his moons creeping up on him, especially when he crossed paths with young leaders with newly established clans, but he smiled warmly, snapping out of his thoughts when a molly approached him. "it's very night to meet you, marbledstar. i'm cyanstar of quickclan. i'm very glad that we could correct this error and finally meet," he said with an easy-going laugh. "if your clan is called outback runners, i think we must have a lot in common. if you asked any of my warriors, i'm sure they'd tell you that all we seem to do is run until our paws fall off. hares... they can be rather tricky, you know?"

FEBRUARY 2022 — 004

Postby chaotic creativity » Sun Feb 06, 2022 7:33 am

        OUTBACK RUNNERS !!
Marbledstar | Molly - Queen - 52 Moons - Tagged: Cyanstar of QuickClan
Marbledstar chuckled at Cyanstar's joke. He seemed older and wiser than her, as if he had been a leader for many more moons than she. Yet, she felt at ease while talking to him. He wasn't an intimidating cat, but she could tell that he commanded respect from his Clan. "The prey out in our territory never seem to stop running. Neither do the predators," she laughed lightly, suppressing the shudder that arose with the thought of crocodiles. She had heard other cats speak of QuickClan, it was a large and well-known Clan, but she had never had the pleasure of meeting a cat from it. "How are things running in your Clan? I hope all is well, though I know certain seasons can be worse than others," she meowed, remembering how terrible Greenleaf had been in their former territory. It was a miserable thing when all the snow was half-melted and created a thick layer of slush. It was hard to run across, and the prey spent most of the time underground to avoid being unable to move. Marbledstar visibly shuddered as she remembered how disgusting it felt to wade through slush and mud for days on end until it refroze and snow laid atop it.

Almondclay | Molly - Advisor - 41 Moons - Tagged: Rustfoot of VagaryClan
Almondclay couldn't help but chuckle. "You must have been chosen for a reason, Rustfoot. I'm positive that your leader spent a long time considering who to appoint," she meowed. "It's rather different in my Clan. When our former leader, Mooseglow, chose to stop down and use her remaining life to raise a family, she appointed five cats as her replacements. The entire Clan voted, and the cat with the highest number of votes was named Queen. All of us who had a lower amount of votes became the new Advisors," she meowed. She couldn't even remember who the advisors before her were, mostly because she'd barely been in the Clan before the final battle with Sablefrost's rogues. She held Mooseglow in high esteem, and she would always respect the former leader, but she was entirely loyal to Marbledstar and would follow her to the ends of the earth. "I wonder what it would be like if your Clan had to vote on the next leader. When our Queen passes, the Clan must vote between the four Advisors. The winner, and new leader, will appoint their replacement on the council. It's all to complicated to really think about," she mumbled, realizing she might be overloading Rustfoot with too much information about the Outback Runners. "Regardless, you shouldn't be worried about becoming leader. You were chosen for a reason, and that should give you the confidence you need," she meowed.

Tombecho | Non-Binary - Healer - 77 Moons - Tagged: Imbe of Withered Fang Peak
Tombecho took in the cat's explanation with a grain of salt, wondering just why this cat wanted to be so high up. Sablefrost had always chosen a high vantage point to place himself, and Tombecho was sorely reminded of the gruesome battle that ended with his death. Their skin was coated with goosebumps, and they quickly banished the thoughts of the traitor from their mind. "I am Tombecho, of the Outback Runners. I am a healer. What position do you hold?" they asked politely. They wanted to trust this cat, but they weren't quite sure if they could. They simply had issues trusting strangers after Sablefrost, who had once been very close to them. They also missed Hatshepsutshine, the cat they had fallen in love with who had disappeared. Their heart longed for the ones they'd once cared for, but it also made them wary to allow any cat to truly know them. "The moon is rather beautiful tonight. It has been a long time since I could just sit and watch the sky as it darkened," they mused, watching as more and more stars began appearing across the dark blanket. They felt their heart nearly break when they had been reminded of Hatshepsutshine, but they held on to the hope that they would see them again one day.

Numbatburrow | Molly - Chaser - 51 Moons - Tagged: Hourglass of The Support Group
Numbatburrow’s eyes widened at the tom’s mysterious demeanor. He frightened her, but she was intrigued by his words. “What is that supposed to mean? My best friend made this necklace for me, I should not have anything to fear involving it,” she meowed, almost accusingly. Echidnaquill’s gift had been around her neck for too many moons to count, and she couldn’t imagine any instance in which it would endanger her. “Why do you say such things? Can you see something I can’t?” she meowed softly, curious as to if there was something about this tom she couldn’t see with her eyed.

    Tigergem | Molly - Runner - 71 Moons - Tagged: Open
Tigergem’s pelt bristled as Marbledstar’s voice rang across the hill. What right did that pathetic excuse for a queen have to tell her what to do? That rank ought to have been hers, and only hers, or so she thought. Tigergem was violently opinionated on the fact that she would have made a better queen than Marbledstar, but she never spoke out about her feelings in fear of retaliation. Much of the Clan adored the molly, having voted on her several moons prior after Mooseglow stepped down to raise a family with her final life. The joy that filled Tigergem at the thought of ruling the Outback Runners was unmatched, and the molly let out a contented sigh as she began to daydream about ruling. She had so many policies she would enact, and her first would be demoting the advisors. Having a council to tell the queen what to do was such a ridiculous idea that Tigergem refused to agree with. With such thoughts, she traipsed down to the Gathering and took a seat rather quickly. She smiled gently as she imagined having her own den and having the entire Clan looking after her. She wouldn’t have to hunt or patrol another day in her life unless she wanted to. She could have first pick of the fresh-kill pile. She would never be put on elder duty again. The thoughts flooded her brain, drowning out all that went on around her.

Sunpaw | Molly - Trainee - 06 Moons - Tagged: Guppypaw of MoonClan
Sunpaw's eyes widened as she watched another apprentice trip spectacularly over her own paws and land muzzle-first in the dust. She couldn't help but drop her jaw as she watched the stranger stand up and look at her. "Are... are you... are you okay?" Sunpaw stammered, worried about the young molly. She rushed forward to sniff her and look at her legs in the way she'd seen Maplesong do numerous times after a trainee fell while training. "If I'm being honest, I don't know what I'm looking for. I just know our healer does this any time someone comes back to camp and claims they fell," she chuckled lightly. "I'm Sunpaw, a new trainee of the Outback Runners," she introduced. After she gathered herself, she stepped back and hoped her potential new friend was okay.

Echidnaquill | Tom - Chaser - 51 Moons - Tagged: Eva of The Crossroads
Echidnaquill smiled as Eva explained what her final assessment was like. He was shocked that she didn't embellish it, but he was also quite proud of her for not spinning a wild tale. "It sounds very dangerous. My Clan used to live in a former territory, and the assessment there involved swimming in frozen waters," he chuckled. They hadn't exactly decided what the new final assessment should officially be in their new territory, but several cats were loud proponents of making the potential chasers and runners swim in a crocodile-infested river.

Autumngiggle | Molly - Chaser - 66 Moons - Tagged: Smokewhisker of MoonClan
Autumngiggle's ears stuck straight up when the stranger spoke to her. "Oh, I'm terribly fond of them, but I didn't want to interrupt any conversations while I tried to find one. I've been told that I can get on cats' nerves," she chuckled miserably, remembering when her littermate had snapped at her after she tried to talk to him when she hadn't noticed that he was in the middle of a serious conversation. "My name is Autumngiggle. I am a Chaser in the Outback Runners. Who might you be?" she meowed brightly, her former dullness completely forgotten. She didn't recognize the scent of the tom, but she knew there was a high chance that she'd heard a passing whisper about whatever Clan he was from. She was notorious for listening to all the gossip she could, though she'd never pass it on or spread her own gossip to others.

Orionstrike | Molly - Chaser - 55 Moons - Tagged: Reserved for Ravenus of Withered Fang Peak
Orionstrike bit back a snap at the expecting molly. She remembered how tired she'd been after just the first moon of both of her pregnancies. "Have you had kits before?" she asked curiously. She was being flooded with memories of the nursery, and, for the first time since her latest litter had been promoted to trainees, she longed to have another litter. She would have to return and talk with Aurorashine about her new wish, but she hoped that her mate would agree for one final litter or two. "You're going to want to have some cat to watch your kittens for a bit every day or two once they're born. I relied so heavily on my mate to allow me to get out and stretch my legs," she chuckled. Erminegaze and Cariboubell had been so attached to her that she'd had to let them lie outside with Aurorashine any time she exercised after they opened their eyes. She couldn't help but smile as she thought about her younger kits, who had been so independent from the first time they'd opened their eyes. "Are there any other expecting or nursing mothers in your Clan? I never felt alone in the nursery since there was always another mother in there with me," she chuckled.

    Dipperduo | Molly - Runner - 80 Moons - Tagged: Open
Dipperduo felt her bones creak and moan as she finally reached the edge of the Gathering. She wished that Climbingivy, her mate, was here, but perhaps some space was also nice. Their comfortable relationship was one that she enjoyed every day, but space is always welcomed. With a smile, she watched as Polarisguide padded around uncomfortably. The molly was still relatively new to the Clan, and Dipperduo remembered when she had just joined after leaving her former Clan. She debated on approaching the molly and offering a paw of friendship, but Polarisguide had wandered off in search of something to do. Dipperduo chuckled to herself before turning to watch the apprentices. She seemed content to sit atop the hill and observe the Gathering from afar, laughing as she watched cats bump into each other and step on each others’ tails. The apprentices were all showing off in the way that was expected. She spotted Rissopaw and Sunpaw branching off from each other, pride flowing through her chest at the young trainee’s ambition to leave the older trainee’s side. Her head tilted slightly to the side as she watched the medicine cats involved in deep and serious conversations, and she turned to watch the deputies pointing out members of their Clans with obvious pride in their eyes as they spoke animatedly. She wondered if any of the advisors of the Outback Runners had ever crowed about her like that, but she doubted it as she rarely attended Gatherings.

    Sanderlingstripe | Tom - Runner - 23 Moons - Tagged: Open
Sanderlingstripe’s eyes darted from side to side as he watched most of his patrol join the Gathering. He noticed Dipperduo lagging behind, choosing to sit atop the hill rather than join the crowd. To each their own, he mused before quickly joining the crowd of warriors. They varied from relatively young to so old that they should probably have been in the elder’s den rather than traveling all the way to the Gathering. Sanderlingstripe chuckled to himself before settling into a secluded corner. He hadn’t spotted any faces he recognized, and he also hadn’t spotted any cat that made him have a yearning desire to strike up a conversation. His eyes passed back and forth across the Gathering slowly, pausing on the muzzles he deemed to be attractive before continuing on their journey. He found himself staring at more toms than mollies, but it wasn’t drastically enough difference to declare him as solely attracted to toms. With a deep sigh, he paused and let himself finally settle down. He was tired from the journey, and his paws ached tremendously. He just wanted to sit in his tiny corner of the world and talk without having to walk around.

    Rissopaw | Molly - Trainee - 10 Moons - Tagged: Open
Rissopaw kept tightly against Sunpaw’s side, the thin molly’s fur warm against Rissopaw’s smooth hide. The only downfall of not having fur was always feeling cold when the temperature dropped even the slightest amount. Rissopaw smiled as she poured even more tips and tricks onto Sunpaw’s open ears. By the time the young molly suggested that they go separate ways, Rissopaw was slightly disheartened. She’d grown to rather like the younger molly over the journey, but she knew she would have plenty of time to chat on the way back home. After she left Sunpaw’s side, she turned to where the older apprentices were gathered. If truth be told, she might be older than several of them due to her Clan’s differing customs. She’d learned that most Clans only required four skill tests be passed before they could take their final assessment, but the Outback Runners required that six skill tests be passed before the final assessment could be attempted. Rissopaw had recently passed her fifth skill test, and she was anxious to learn as to if she would be building off of her swimming skill or her digging skill for her final skill test. The thought of her final assessment being so soon made the young molly nervous, but she was also excited to finally become a full chaser. The thought of no longer being hovered over and finally having her full name was too good to be true, and she couldn’t wait to make Tombecho proud of her.

    Polarisguide | Molly - Chaser - 33 Moons - Tagged: Open
Polarisguide paced with excitement as Marbledstar’s long-winded rant and threat passed over her head like a cloud of steam. “I can’t believe I’m at a Gathering. I can’t believe so many Clans exist. I thought it was just the Outback Runners,” she mumbled under her breath. She had been a loner for as many moons as she could remember, leaving her mother as soon as she had been able to hunt for herself. When she found the Outback Runners less than two moons prior, she thought they were the most unique group of cats in the world. She had been shocked to learn that numerous Clans existed and a Gathering of them existed. She had begged and pleaded to attend, but now she was beginning to regret it. She was terrified of such a large group, but she was also eager to learn about the differences the other Clans had from her own new home. She was worried about upsetting someone, but she was also overjoyed to learn more about the world that she had never known existed. She took several deep breaths before descending into the gathered warriors, pausing occasionally to stare at a stranger. She took several paces forward, peering into several sets of eyes as she sought out a cat to talk to. She couldn’t help but lean closer, trying to determine if they were the kind of cat she wanted to have a conversation with. After several such interactions, she chose to continue wandering in search of some cat to talk with. She hoped that one would appear randomly, and initiate the conversation with her, so that she didn’t have to make the choice.

attending: halfmoon, blizzardstorm, snowpetal, magnoliamask, smokewhisker, applefall, flakestone, cometpaw, guppypaw

Halfmoon - leader - 53 moons - female - tags; squirrelflash [evergreen park]
Halfmoon couldn't help the excitement that bubbled in her chest as her new companion began to speak of her own clan, light grey eyes widening ever so slightly as she listened closely to the stories being told. It was moments like these the molly felt much like a kit in the nursery again, hanging onto the stories of the elders with complete wonderment. It was always an exciting thing to hear of the lives of other clans outside Halfmoon's own, given their dense forests and rough mountainous home it was rare for her clan to communicate with any others in the area, perhaps it was the reason she had grown so fond of these gatherings. The grey molly shared the humored laugh at news of the apprentices' still playful nature, her mind returning to the abundance of newly made to-bes back at camp still fresh out the nursery. Halfmoon gave a small purr herself at the mention of Squirrelflash's kits, though her own were well-practiced warriors now. "Much the same it seems; our mountains are usually quite a bit colder than the season passing, at the very least we don't have too many troubles handling the cold bite of snow as leafbare comes about. Our own healers are similarly preparing for the worst of the weather, though my deputy Blizzardstorm is such a worry-wort they needn't remind him to give everyone a break every so often." Halfmoon's voiced filled with affectionate humor as she spoke of her clan-mates, it was hard not to feel pride swell in her chest as she spoke of them and knew herself how far they had truly come in the recent moons. "With our own apprentices - though we call them 'to-bes' - it seems when you finish training one batch and have them pass assessments, another group exits the nursery just in time to keep the cave full", the grey pelted leader broke off with another soft laugh and small shake of her head, ever fond of the young members. "At the moment it isn't very hard to keep our spirits high given how excited all the youngsters are to see all the heavier snowfall. Though I would be lying if I said a few of us didn’t worry once the weather begins to turn. Our mountains prove to be quite difficult whenever the seasons change."

The rather large tom couldn't help but to furrow his brows at the molly's words, finding himself all at once growing rather protective over her, feeling much like he did whenever his adopted daughter quietened her words in fear of becoming an annoyance. "You should speak as much as you'd like Autumngiggle, there isn't anything annoying about wanting to share your own thoughts or opinions. I tell my daughter all the time I'd rather hear her begin shouting her thoughts than quiet her words". Smokewhisker chuckled as he spoke, voice entirely fond as he thought back to what Hummingsong must've been doing in the caves. The grey warrior took a quick moment to glance around the pair as bits & pieces of conversations drifted by, his mind struggling to remember if he had once heard of the molly's group, though her scent was unfamiliar. "I'm Smokewhisker, now a warrior of Moonclan. Is it rude to ask what exactly a 'chaser' is"?

A laugh bubbled in the young to-bes throat as her, hopefully, new friend stepped forwards to look her over, though Guppypaw knew all she sported now was a dust-filled coat and burning ears. "Oh it's alright, nothing hurt here. I've given Lilybloom & Snowpetal many small scares in the nursery, it just happens to come along with being clumsy", though her tone remained light and filled with laughter she couldn't help the surge of embarrassment at having fallen in front of strangers, she could practically hear Mackerelpaw's biting laughter. "Oh that's a very pretty name", Guppypaw's eyes filled with excitement to hear Sunpaw speak even just the littlest bit about her own clan, even though the name absolutely confused the young to-be. "Are you training to become a warrior or a hunter? Oh wait, is your group one of the ones who only has the one rank"?

AspenClan

Cats Attending: Robinstar, Tanglestep, Cloverwish, Poppypaw, Killfang, Komaru, Goosewing, Rosethorn, Crowpaw, Sparrowpaw

──────────────────────────────

      Robinstar | 81 moons | female | leader | tags: open
_____Robinstar padded slowly into the clearing, letting her clanmates walk past her on their way into the clearing. She took her time going to the other leaders, hoping that maybe if she looked around a lot, the cats around her would assume that she was just enjoying the scenery, and not deathly afraid of being looked down on by the surely more capable leaders of other clans. Eventually, she took her place at the high rock, nodding a vague hello to the other leaders and sitting up tall in an attempt to appear more confident.

Tanglestep | 52 moons | male | deputy | tags: Blizzardstorm of Moonclan
_____Tanglestep strode into the clearing with his head held high, looking out over the other clan cats. His ears flicked toward Sparrowpaw as the apprentice mewed goodbye, and he watched silently as his son bounded into the crowd. Tanglestep glanced at Robinstar and couldn't help but smile as the anxiety she was trying desperately to hide. The deputy continued forward, his gait regal despite his limp, though he did pause to scowl at a few boisterous apprentices who dared to run into him. Once he reached the group of deputies, Tanglestep sat down, his amber eyes surveying the faces of his peers. His whiskers twitched as a large white tom sat beside him. "Tanglestep of AspenClan," he said in response to the tom's silent question. "And yes, it did. Our territory isn't too far from here, gratefully, so we don't have to travel as long as some other groups," he mewed with a thin smile, the tip of his tail twitching idly. "How was your journey?"

Cloverwish | 38 moons | male | medicine cat | tags: Amberpool of ColdClan
_____Cloverwish glanced at Poppypaw as he padded into the clearing alone. As much as he wished she would spend more time with the other medicine cats at these gatherings, he knew that he couldn't tell her who to spend her time with—nor would he want to, really. He shook his head slightly as he joined the crowd, soon coming across an orange-and-white molly with the scent of herbs on her coat—likely another medicine cat. "Hey," he said brightly. "We haven't met before, I don't think. I'm Cloverwish, AspenClan's medicine cat."

Poppypaw | 22 moons | female | medicine cat apprentice | tags: Sloeberry of VagaryClan
_____Poppypaw and Goosewing walked side by side as AspenClan joined the gathering, but Poppypaw hesitated as they reached the clearing. Her friend looked back at her, mild concern coloring his previously excited expression. "Aren't you coming?" he asked, his tail flicking forward.
_____"You go on without me," Poppypaw decided. "I'll just walk around."
_____Goosewing gazed out over the clearing, and his ears pricked at the sight of a certain speckled cat. "Are you sure?" he mewed hesitantly.
_____"Yes, I'm sure," the apprentice laughed. "Go be with your mate," she said with a smile that she maintained until Goosewing disappeared into the crowd. She padded along the edge of the clearing, trying to remind herself that she liked meeting new cats. And while she did enjoy the sea of new faces, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. She sniffed the air gingerly, recognizing VagaryClan's scent from the previous gathering. But there was something else there, something more familiar. Poppypaw's face brightened as the scent jogged a memory. "Excuse me," she mewed to no one in particular as she weaved through the crowd, only stopping once she saw that black and white pelt.
_____"Sloeberry!" she called, a smile breaking across her face, though it was soon followed by a whisper of doubt. Unsure if he remembered her, yet hoping fervently that he did, she decided to elaborate. "It's me, Poppypaw, from AspenClan," she added, suddenly rather nervous.

Goosewing | 27 moons | male | warrior | tags: Snowynight of VagaryClan
_____Goosewing cast another glance at Poppypaw, but soon went to join Snowynight at her insistence. Judging by the last gathering, he reasoned, she was probably going to meet with that other VagaryClan cat. Thoughts of Poppypaw were soon set aside as Goosewing met Snowynight. He stepped forward, nuzzling her gently as he mewed a quiet greeting. He looked around, noticing his mate was alone. "Could Ebonysmoke not come?" he asked. Still happy to see his mate, his tone was one of more curiosity than concern.

      Killfang | 45 moons | female | warrior | tags: open

      Komaru | 39 moons | female | warrior | tags: open

Rosethorn | 17 moons | female | warrior | tags: Applefall of Moonclan
_____Rosethorn's tail lashed as she joined the gathering, lost in her own thoughts. She knew she ought to be proud that she was finally a warrior, but all she really felt was anger at Birdbrook for making her training take so long. Of course, she knew she couldn't expect anything less from a cat like her. At least she was no longer beneath Birdbrook, Rosethorn reminded herself, which did assuage some of her anger. She wouldn't have to deal with any more of her judgmental looks or condescending smiles. As the thought crossed her mind, a hint of a smile formed at the corners of the young calico's mouth. Despite this, she found herself flinching slightly as the voice of another cat pulled her from her musings. Rosethorn nodded quickly in response to the molly's question, trying to clear her head. "Hi. Sorry, I didn't see you," she mewed, giving a small smile and sitting up taller in an effort to create some semblance of composure. "I'm Rosethorn of AspenClan. What's your name?"

      Crowpaw | 15 moons | male | apprentice | tags: open

Sparrowpaw | 9 moons | male | apprentice | tags: Babypaw of Tundraclan
_____Sparrowpaw grinned at the compliment, his whiskers twitching with amusement as the other apprentice went on. He was entranced by Babypaw's seemingly boundless enthusiasm, and his eyes widened slightly as she spoke. "No, I've been to a gathering before. Probably 'cause my dad's the deputy," he boasted, puffing out his chest. His eyes flitted downward as he thought for a moment. "But neither of my brothers have been to one..." he mused quietly before his smile returned and he gave an unconcerned shrug. "I guess I'm the favorite," he laughed cheekily. "So what's Tundraclan like? What is a tundra, anyway?" Sparrowpaw asked, leaning forward.

THE SUPPORT GROUP

sorry - molly - mammoth
"my clan is well! i'm the deputy, too. we aren't a traditional clan, more like a group of strays who band together. the cats can leave whenever they feel like their time is done there. no one has yet, though. i like the name. your leader has much more creativity than mine does." she laughed. coot was...many things, but creative and intelligent he was not.

firestar - molly - open for relationships - stumpypaw
she nodded along in eager agreement. "you'll do great things, i'm sure! even if you might be...vertically challenged, you can do anything any other cat can do." her cheeks heated at his question. "oh, i'm not an apprentice." she smiled softly "i passed my assessment a few moons ago. how about you?"

hourglass - tom - numbatburrow
the tom couldn't help but grin at her confusion. "it's very pretty." he agreed "your friend is talented. i'm just warning you, it's very easy to catch on, i don't know, say a branch stuck to the side of a sheer cliff. if it breaks, you're going down to the rocks. but surelly you'll be careful."

flea - molly - northstar
it was nice to be out of the camp. part of her heart longed to be back home with her kits, but with them being apprentices soon, she decided it might be nice to let them have some alone time. hp had promised to look after her kits, but she highly doubted that would happen. pickle assured her they would be safe. she trusted the other queen over her mate any day. she shook her head. flea was not here to think about life back home. she saw a she-cat regally looking over the gathering. flea padded over to the cat. "greetings," she started "i'm flea from the support group. would you mind company?"

ChaosClan Feb. 01

Postby Kazin » Mon Feb 07, 2022 9:03 am

ChaosClan

cat name -- gender -- rank -- tagged: open
      writing

Charstar -- tom -- leader -- tagged: Robinstar (AspenClan)
It was Charstar's decision that his clan attend this gathering. Mockingbirdstar had advised against it, with so many of their own problems going on back at camp... but Charstar hoped that he could boost some of their cats' morale if they were able to interact with other clans. With an open mind, though a worried look on his face about making the wrong decision, Charstar stayed on the outskirts for the meantime, wanting to watch his clanmates interact first.

After a few moments, the tom nodded, mostly to himself, and headed to where he remembered the other leaders gathering. He looked around briefly, so many cats already locked in conversations, and tried to get the attention of the nearest leader that seemed to lack a conversationalist. "Hi there," he greeted with a respectful dip of his head. "I'm Charstar, of a clan called ChaosClan. Did you have a pleasant journey?"

Eveningrain -- she-cat -- Deputy -- tagged: Barkburr (IvyClan)
The she-cat was wandering around, not used to sitting still for a long amount of time, with how many duties she had to take care of in her large clan. After a few moments, Eveningrain allowed herself a pause in her movements. It would be good to interact, to get to know other clan cats... She saw Charstar's familiar curly pelt among who must've been the leaders, and decided to go on the outskirts of where they were gathered, hoping she would find another deputy like here. She tried to catch the eye of the cat nearest to her, giving him a nod of friendliness. "Hello there," she called out, sitting back and wrapping her tail around her paws as a sign of peace.

Morningdew -- she-cat -- Scout Caption -- tagged: open
Morningdew had come at her sister's request, both she-cats wanting to stay as near each other as possible during the hard times ChaosClan was facing. With Eveningrain in her eyesight, Morningdew chose a comfy patch of grass to settle down on, waiting to see if someone would approach her, a look of serenity and peace on the easygoing she-cat's face.

Tempestrain -- tom -- Hunter -- tagged: open
Not many cats had decided to come from ChaosClan. Tempestrain truly did not feel it necessary to come, but felt bad for Charstar when he receive little volunteers to join him at the gathering. Truly, it frustrated Tempestrain that others did not want to do the duty of coming to the gathering, something necessary to build clan relations. The stoic tom wandered around the gathering, waiting to find someone to talk to.

Skatetooth -- tom -- Scout -- tagged: Nightfall (Whiskered Away)
One of Skatetooth's favorite things was to go to a gathering. He always loved hearing the stories from other cats, and loved observing how others interacted. He was sharp and observant, and couldn't help but notice there were some cats that chose to stay in the shadows, despite coming with a clan of their own. The cat intrigued him, and Skatetooth wandered closer to the tom, deciding he wanted to see if he would interact with him.

"Hi!" He called out a few cat lengths away, blinking and giving the other cat a sly smile. "Much calmer in the shadows, isn't it? I do prefer them myself, most of the time. Would I be bothering you too much if we chatted?"

Dragonpaw -- tom -- apprentice -- tagged: open
The young apprentice was very excited to be at a gathering, but kept his internal excitement to a minimum for fear of looking overly crazy. Dragonpaw was determined to find a cat his age to talk to, and kept circling around the gathering cats, waiting to find someone who would talk to him. Or find someone to talk to himself...

Heatherpaw -- she-cat -- apprentice -- tagged: open
Heatherpaw had never been afraid to try new things. She wanted to find new cats from clans she had never heard of (which was all of them!) She felt it would only increase her chance of being deputy and even leader one day, something she strived for very much - she wanted to follow in the pawsteps of her dad.

tundraclan | february '22 gathering | 006

Postby selkirks » Mon Feb 07, 2022 9:44 am

𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙣 !!

cockroachstar - tom - 68m - marquess/leader - tags; carrotstar (seaclan)

Cockroachstar and Hollystar walked side by side into the gathering. The large Maine Coon yawned, and Hollystar looked up at him, "Y'know, you should be resting right now." She scolded playfully. Cockroachstar just laughed and shrugged his shoulders, "I'll be fine, don't be worried!" He touched her shoulder with the tip of his tail and Hollystar sighed dramatically, leaning against his fluffy fur, "Still, stay safe, okay?" she whispered, and the Maine Coon nodded, nuzzling the top of her head with his muzzle. The silver torbie pulled back and walked towards where the leaders usually sat, and Cockroachstar was about to follow, but a familiar scent reached his nose. He looked around before spotting a familiar ginger tabby coat, and swiftly ran up to it, "Hey, Carrotstar! How are things with you and Seaclan?" he asked with a slight smile.

hollystar - she-cat - 63m - marchioness/leader - tags; raggedstar (crossroads)

Hollystar looked amazed at Raggedstar's description of hosting demons, and her jaw was agape with awe, "That's so cool! Are the Angels the same way?" Hollystar was a tad anxious she was bothering the tom with her pestering questions, but once she saw the tom relax, she felt better about bombarding him with questions about his clan. She still was in awe of the clan's demonic hosts.

tsunamibite - tom - 78m - earl/deputy - tags; reeddapple (coldclan)

Tsunamibite smiled, glad to hear the border clan was doing alright. His ears pricked with interest as the she-cat mentioned litters and he nodded in agreement, "Tundraclan will be stocking prey this leafbare since we are going to have some litters soon as well, though I hope not too many so our queens can keep their sanity." He chuckled, then continued, "We have our paws full with kits right now, so I'm glad we have the queens babysitting the lot of 'em!"

morninglight - she-cat - 54m - healer - tags; animus (withered fang peak)

Her ears flattened slightly at the mention of the large dog, but perked up when they mentioned wanting to see Fang, "Is Fang a protector of your group? Even coming face to face with a dog terrifies me, you're brave if you want to interact with one." she stated, feeling a slight shiver at the thought of meeting a hound. She gave a small laugh as Animus pestered her with questions, attempting to answer them all at once, "Well, a clan is a group of cats, just a different name for them. Tundraclan is basically my group I live with; though I used to be apart of Fireclan. We do live in the tundra, so i'm grateful for my thick pelt." she explained with a smile.

swanflight - genderfluid (they/he) - 16m - healer - tags; dianthuscloud (vagaryclan)

Swanflight purred softly, "That's a cute naming theme! Those are both great names." He curled his tail around his paws, attempting to stop fidgeting from the excitement of seeing their friend. He gave a dramatic sigh as Dianthuscloud mentioned kits and laughed, "You would not believe how many kits we have in Tundraclan right now! It's a mess to be honest. They beg to try out new herbs and I have to practically pull them away by the hind legs from my den!" they laughed, recalling a memory.

babypaw - she-cat - 8m - weakling/apprentice - tags; sparrowpaw (aspenclan)

The ginger-and-white tabby's eyes beamed with respect for the tom, despite being only a single moon younger than him, "That's awesome! I didn't really know my parents since they died when I was really young, but Tundraclan took me in and I have a lot of friends now!" her voice seemed to crack when mentioning her parents, but she shook her fur out and regained her normal, bubbly attitude. Babypaw was ecstatic the tom wanted to hear about her clan and meowed excitedly, "A tundra is like... a really cold place!! It doesn't have a lot of trees or bushes, but there are some near our camp. Tundraclan is great for the most part! Lately some rogues have been attacking us, but we are doing great against them! I cannot wait to learn some battle moves to chase them away!" She demonstrated a poorly done front paw swipe, and almost stumbled over her own paws, but she managed to keep her balance, "What about Aspenclan? How is it like?" she asked.

stumpypaw - tom - 13m - weakling/apprentice - tags; firestar (the support group)

Stumpypaw looked in awe and then mewed, "Really?! That's awesome!" he purred with delight for the ginger tabby, not caring she had called him vertically challenged- because to be fair, he was. The silver tabby thought for a moment, recalling how many moons of his training he had left, "I'm taking my assessment this moon, actually! My mentor, Cockroachstar is one of the leaders and he's so nice! He constantly helps me and lets me snuggle into his thick fur when I feel sad." he purred softly, recalling fond members of his mentor.

apricotpaw - she-cat - 12m - weakling/apprentice - tags; smudgepaw (coldclan)

Apricotpaw arrived a little later than the rest of her clan due to her curiosity getting the better of her and the tortoiseshell practically sniffed and observed every new thing she saw on the way here. To a normal apprentice the gathering would be daunting, with cats much larger than her all around, but Apricotpaw was ecstatic to finally go to her first gathering and learn about other clans and their traditions. The tortoiseshell's lime eyes surveyed the gathering, till they landed on a smaller black-and-white tom who carried the familiar scent of Tundraclan's border clan Coldclan. She made her way over to the alone apprentice and gave a gentle smile, "Hi! I'm Apricotpaw, weakling of Tundraclan. Are you a Coldclan cat? I think I recognize your scent!"

THE SUPPORT GROUP

sorry - molly - mammoth

firestar - molly - open for relationships - stumpypaw
"that's great!" she purred, eyes squinting with her grin. "my mentor, tiny, is actually enormous. once, i hurt my paw and he carried me back to camp. it was like a badger ride, but as an apprentice! Good luck on your assessment, by the way."

hourglass - tom - numbatburrow
the tom couldn't help but grin at her confusion. "it's very pretty." he agreed "your friend is talented. i'm just warning you, it's very easy to catch on, i don't know, say a branch stuck to the side of a sheer cliff. if it breaks, you're going down to the rocks. but surelly you'll be careful."
