Chase Newleaf stood outside the Western Barn, fixing his left boot. He opened up the barn door once he was done and walked inside. The sound of nickering horses greeted his ears. He walked down to one of the far stalls, on his way he walked past several horses before coming to the stall of a light blood bay stallion.
"Hey Bracken." Chase said, leaning against the stall door as the stallion trotted over to greet him.
"Want to go for a ride?"

Dazzle trotted in small circles around her stall, occasionally stopping to nibble at the left over oats.
"Is anyone else awake?" She whinnied, wondering if Chase would choose to ride her or Bracken.

Bracken tossed his mane in joy as Chase grabbed out his halter and led him out of his stall. He stood patiently as Chase tacked him. As Chase led Bracken outside to ring 4, Bracken kept on nipping Chase's cowboy hat.

Logan rubbed his horses neck, his hoof angrily stomping against the concrete. A shrill whinny released from his throat and he shook his head over the stable door. "Calm down boy," he slipped the saddle pad onto his back, the saddle soon following. The sudden weight caused the dun horse to shift his weight, leaning heavily against the young man. Logan scoffed, pushing hard against his horses shoulder, Eddy moved begrudgingly and the boy pushed floppy black hair out of his eyes,a small pout on his lips. "You're so annoying today, can you please just behave?" next was the bridle, it was always hard to slip the bit into the geldings mouth and today was no different, Eddy continuously pushed it out or moved his head out of the way. With a sigh Logan rubbed his horses ears, trying once more and finally succeeding. A small grin spread onto his face, his eyes crinkling at the corners like they always did. "Good boy, ready to jump?" he unbolted the door and began to lead his horse out, the sound of hooves on the concrete still making him grin.

Audrey yawned as she began heading towards the stable. It was very early in the morning but she was hoping to get some practice without someone pestering her. She decided to ride Misty so the rebellious stallion wouldn't get into any mischief. A small breeze passed by as she slid through the doors to the English Barn. As she headed towards Misty's stable the Andalusian caught here eye. Unlike her horse, she was silver and gray, a kind of horse any rider would adore. She slowly held out her hand, greeting the mare gently. "Hi, you!", she smiled, knowing that the beautiful horse wouldn't snap at her.

The black stallion let out a shrill whinny as he continued to practice jumping over the fallen log. A worker had brought him out earlier because they said he was making a "tantrum, waking up all the poor horses". He thought to himself that the dumb rider didn't know anything. How would they feel to be cooped up all the time? Recently there was a heavy rain fall and a huge tree branch had fallen over. He took great liking in it, practicing jumping over it all the time. He shuddered as his long mane and tail flew behind him as he finished doing a perfect jump. Not bad, he thought to himself as he began to examine the ground, trotting to the other side.

Dazzle whinnied and trotted foreward as the girl held out her hand. She shook her mane and sniffed the girls fingers before staring up at her with big, brown eyes. As Dazzle watched Annabelle, something small bit her rump and she flicked her head around to nibble at the bug. A small fly buzzed away and she snorted with annoyance.She shook out her mane before turning back to the girl.

As Chase swatted away the stallion's nose for the fifth time, his eyes spotted a gorgeous appaloosa jumping. "Wow..." He murmured. It seemed as if Bracken saw what he was looking at as he flicked Chase's hat off his head."Bracken!" He laughed, before bending over to pick it up. He continued to the arena and mounted Bracken, before going for a quick warmup run. He then dismounted and set up three barrels to practise barrel racing and jogged back to where Bracken watched him.
"You ready boy?"

Bracken shook his mane in response and Chase climbed aboard. At a kick in the side, Bracken was off like a missile. He rounded the first barrel and went for the second, but his hoof slipped in the sand and he went tumbling over. Chase shot over Bracken's neck at the sudden stop and went crashing into the sandy floor. Bracken landed heavily on his side and lay there for a second, dazed.

She met her husband in her senior year of university when he stumbled upon an Equestrian Team meeting. He kept cropping up at different equine events and offered to help at multiple shows as her personal groom. With a lot of TLC, Piper brought the gelding to working condition and then worked him through his paces. She found out what a wonderful horse he was, full of personality, and talent.
