Fun fact, since the forum Lights on Lights off is in moves quickly, topics posted there get deleted for inactivity after a while. Since LoLo is a yearly game its topic gets deleted every year xD a request is put in to revive it. So that's why you can't find the thread until it is literally time for early sign ups! You'll see Nick bump the thread when it is time ^^ but until then it's no where to be found.

It's a gifting game. You dress up a cs pet in a costume. Type up a trick or treat story. If your application is accepted you are put on a list of players. When the event starts (Oct 1st - Oct 31st) you can send your trick or treat story to users with "Lights on" in their signature from the player list. They will either send you a free trade of pets/items "treat" or you might get a message that says "trick" and get no trade <<< as someone who plays every year I can count of one hand the amount of tricks I get. It's mostly treats. You're also encouraged to put lights on in your signature and send out treat trades to trick or treat players c:

Hey, I'm the one who runs LOLO every year ^^ We usually open early apps around Sept 15-20th depending on how quickly I manage to get it up. LOLO doesn't actually start until Oct 1st, but during early apps you can fill out your form, write your story, create yours dressup, etc, and get it all approved beforehand so that when LOLO does start you can start playing right away. The main thread ends up auto-deleted every year (just a normal thing that happens in that board), thus why it needs to be bumped by Nick to be visible again, and that auto-deletion causes it to be removed from your bookmarks if you did bookmark it. Instead I would suggest bookmarking and following the fanclub thread. That thread does not get auto deleted, and I always post on it when early apps start, as well as on Oct 1st when the game starts. It also includes a link to the discord group in which I also ping in there for early apps + game start for people who are more active in discord than the forums.

All that said I will also see if I can get the main thread bumped soon as well so all the gameplay info will be visible and can be bookmarked for this year ^^
