I was just curious,

If new UR pets are released every year, and Christmas is the only time you can get them

Does that mean every year the chances for users to get a UR pet or item increases? Or are some more rare to get? Like am I more likely to get a 2023 OMGSR than a 2008 OMGSR during that event?

Nope, just every year you have the chance to get a UR but they are very rare so...

To add onto this. each year you get three presents, they come in batches of rarity where you have a random chance to get what was made in past years, and they are ordered by rarity as well

i think the introduction of other new rare+ pets throughout the year (like from the summer event or monthlies) would offset any shift in demographic for dec18? but i don't know for sure

If you mean by there being more *options* for UR pets to get, then yes, I think it's slightly more likely that you might get one? If it goes from 12 URs to 15 URs that means there's very very slightly more of them taking up a slot in the prize pool. But the chance to get one at all is still very small compared to all the other rare pets released throughout the years, like scottermite said (these are my thoughts at least) so that might nullify it?
Like i guess you can think of it like the number of old rare pets increases by 100 with every year that passes, while the number of URs only increases by 2 (as hypothetical numbers)

i was under the impression this was the case (speaking as someone who doesnt really understand how much of the infrastructure of cs works). i think itd be really interesting to hear from staff if that is offset by the fact 12/18 also accounts for pet release dates/months?
