When? 2023 it jumped to 6 non. Why? The successful VR trades topic showed the raven dog trading for 6 nons or more. Like
this one or
this one or
this. Horror's trading guide also reflected the 5 to 6 non price tag "due to demand", it says [70-80+ MA ] - (7-8+ NON) today
Prior to 2023 it was considered overpay to charge 5 non,
example and
example.
What's the reason? I can only give my opinion knowing I don't speak for all of CS. 1. It's a store pet and never going to be re-released. Owners of Raven dogs know its value will only increase with time. 2. Demand shot up. The Raven dog appeared in more dressups during lock down. The value started creeping up starting in 2020 when raven dogs became harder to trade for as the average user was requesting overpay to part with theirs. 3. This one has less hard data but I think the pandemic broke the c$ scene and kicked off the inflation we deal with today. Prior to 2020, c$ was not so in demand. Users didn't have too much on hand. After the pandemic you saw whales, users who amassed large sums of c$. Some of these rich players took an interest in the trade economy and worked the system to overpay for store pets. Inflating their prices. Posting the successful overpay trades in the VR successful trade threads. Horror's Guide would update to reflect these overpay prices.
Now. We are left with astronomical prices. Who is going to trade their Raven dog for 2 non? When there is a line of users willing to pay 6 non or more? Not to mention, if that user trades their raven dog for 2 non they will
never find a trade that low for themselves.
I hope this answered your question :c a bummer that the raven dog is no longer an attainable goal for the average user.
