I reinstalled JTablet and updated my java as well as restarted my computer, but the oekaki still won't work.
In Firefox it will load then freeze, but be able to save for some reason but give me a blank popup window telling me it saved. Anything I click on will happen but I won't see it, and will show up the next time i load the saved drawing.
In Safari, chibipaint will load, give me a pop up about JTabelt, freeze when I click "okay", then completely disappear, showing the default cs green background where the program should be. I'm on a mac, so that may be the issue. I have a feeling the issue may be stemming from JTablet, possibly??

Thanks .
(This was posted kind of a while ago, but I want to reply to it and it never got replied to.)
Unfortunately, nope. I have one too, it's annoying. Oekaki requires Java to run, and Java cannot run on a Chromebook. The reason why you can't get Java (I looked this up because I wanted to use Oekaki...) is because Google wants people to use stuff like HTML5 and not Java or Flash (No clue why, and for some reason Flash works on Chromebooks.).
Basically, no Oekaki for you.

I am having the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
My husband says its an error with the Jave applet coding, and that its seems to either be an error with the URLPermissions or possibly a cert error. There are multiple issues with the new Java 8 version...

I recently started using my mom's old MacBook Pro laptop, and I wanted to get Oekaki to work so I can use this instead of my family's computer. I got Java, downloaded the necessary things for my Bamboo Tablet, and tried to get JTablet.
There were three options on the JTablet website: Windows, Leopard, and Snow Leopard. I got the Snow Leopard, because Leopard would go to a 404 Error page, and Windows isn't for Apple computers.
When I open an Oekaki drawing, it loads and everything fine, but then a little window pops up saying that the JTablet is an experiment, and it might crash. I push ok, then Oekaki freezes up completely.
I can clarify on anything if needed, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you <3

I'm having the same issue. I have a mac, and was having trouble getting Adobe Creative Cloud. After I went through a lot of trouble to get that fixed, I had to update my OS X. As soon as I updated my OS X, I ran into problems with Java. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Now I have Java working, but every time I try to use Oekaki it won't work as soon as jtablet loads. I have tried uninstalling but it still pops up every time I open Oekaki. I even tried uninstalling and re-downloading Chrome. Anyone have any ideas?UPDATE: I successfully uninstalled jtablet. I am now having problems with saving files. A window pops up and says "access denied - your drawing has not been saved." Still looking through Java settings to look for solution.
