2nd Generation Pets

How do you get a 2nd generation pet? Can you have two pets that you want to have pups,kits,ect.? I am so cunfused about this.

Occasionally ets are chosen by CS staff and they "Breed" them , when this happens, you will be able to adopt the puppies exd. from the "2nd Gen." Section on the "Adopt" Page C:
