A bright vortex of light swirls and dances before you, towering high above the cave floor. You pause in your wonderment to consider how you managed to find yourself in this strange cave.

"Welcome to Ahzen, I'm Valcyon. I don't know how you came to find yourself here but you don't seem to be much of a threat." A gruff voice chuckles from behind you.

You turn around to find a maroon horned cat thing staring you down at eye-level. In surprise you shy away from it but control your urge to yell as you see it doesn't seem to want to eat you for dinner.

"Ahzen?" You ask.

"Home of others like me, we call ourselves the Ahzenai. This cave is our home, and we are born through energy vortexes like the one behind you. Perhaps if you stick around long enough someone will find you interesting enough that they will allow you to escort them out of the cave. Oh and you can find more information down below."

The great cat thing chuckles once more to himself then pads off leaving you alone with the vortex once more.

This thread has too much spam. :B

From now on, anything that is not a wooing story, custom form, MAL form or question that is not answered on the front page will be counted as spam. Yes, I realize this is probably a bit strict, but yes- it is necessary. Since many if not all of the mods are in school- they are unable to devote as much time to modding. This will help them do their jobs better.

If you spam or break a rule, you will be pm'd by one of the staff and asked to stop. That is your first strike. A first strike is just basically a warning, so just be careful. Once you've received three strikes you will be banned from the thread for up to a week, depending on the nature of your ban. Your ban will lengthen for each strike after the three.

All of this is done to prevent the thread from being locked. If you have questions, regarding this- PM me. Do not post your questions here. When I do get online, I usually have time to answer my pm's, so that is the best way to contact me.

{Rules}

- No negativity please, that means bashing your 'woo', other people's 'woo's' or you know, that whining, complaining bit that's already in the rules.
- Don't SPAM. Anything not related to this thread or the Ahzenai is considered spam. Too much spam and the thread will be locked.
- No stealing Ahzenai/claiming the species or design as your own.
- You may take your Ahzenai off site as long as you link back here and give credit.
- No begging, whining, complaining or arguing.
- Ahzenai may not be used a fursona's. Characters yes, Fursona's no. A fursona is something that you make that represents you, not something someone else made that you happen to like. :B
- No bribing. Doesn't work. Bribing means "I'll give you more payment then normal if you give me a custom now."
- Respect everyone. Especially staff. This means be nice, tolerate those you might disagree with.
- Onyx keeps a spreadsheet of everyone's inventory and Ahzenai. Just ask her if you have questions.
- Ahzenai will be created as frequently as possible. Don't ask when because Onyx won't know until a new Ahzenai has been formed. :B This also applies to customs and when they'll be opening.
- We do not need any helpers, artists/colorists or otherwise at the moment. An announcement will be made if we do need help. Please don't ask~ D8
- If you're confused about something, let Onyx know. You're probably not the only one confused.

{FYI}

-Ahzenai are the size of Ligers. Meaning, they're big and could easily bite your face off. Valcyon is even bigger then that.
-There is a 15 Ahzenai adoption limit.
-There are 4 'elements' of Ahzenai. Plasma, Gas, Matter and Liquid.The element appears as a cloud on the Ahzenai's back. Non-elementals are also possible.
- Azhenai have two horn types: curled and straight.
- Ahzenai are omniverous. Meaning they'll eat pretty much anything edible.
- Ahzenai are born with a name already. Only 'customs' can have their name picked.
- Ahzenai is pronounced: "AHH-ZEN-EYE".
- Ahzenai do not wear accessories, so no clothes, armor, piercings, etc. Only rare special occasions do they wear anything.
- Fights do happen among the Ahzenai, so scars are possible.
- An Ahzenai emerges fully grown from the vortex.
- They do not and cannot breed. As in they can't produce offspring. All Ahzenai come from the vortex, not through mating.

All you have to do to apply is write a story introducing yourself to Ahzenai, and try to win it over. You have to take into account the Ahz's personality- things they do and say- to have a successful woo. However, you cannot make the Ahzenai talk or have actions. xD

The vortex swirled lazily around, as it normally did without preparing to create an ahzenai, though strangely, it began to change colors. The vortex flashed colors of deep, mystic blues along with light blues that reminded one of the sea. A small spatter of pale, glowing yellow was mixed in. Few noticed until someone exclaimed about the oddity that was taking place.

Slowly, one paw emerged from the vortex. Casually, a dark blue, rather bulky ahzenai revealed himself. His pale yellow eyes scanned the cavern, then his jaws split into a large yawn. Slowly, he meandered over to the river and looked into it, smiling at his reflection. True, he was rather vain, but at the same time, he took pride in his natural appearance, taking no time to groom himself at all. He loved the water, for it provided many things for this earth, including life. It also allowed him to see himself and others around him.

"Oelaer." Valcyon called to the crowd of people quietly.

Pricking his ears a bit, he observed the reflection of those who approached him with interest. He had no problem either staying in Ahzen or going off with a new companion, but he took no interest in debates or things that took a lot of energy. He also didn't like to make plans. He was a 'go with the flow' kind of guy who was easy to get along with. His eyes held a friendly note as he turned to face the crowd. Calmly, he sat down and wrapped his bushy tail around his paws. Lights reflected from the shine of the vortex upon the water danced across Oelaer's blue fur, giving him a magical appearance.

"Hello to all of you." he dipped his head, his deep, relaxed voice resonating around the quiet cave. "I'd like to hear what you have to say." he smiled, an air of calmness radiating from his presence alone.

{Wooing Rules}

- Please put some effort into your wooing, the minimum requirement will be one paragraph or 5-7 sentences. The more detailed your story though the higher your chance of winning the Ahzenai is. You may recycle stories if you do not win the initial Ahzenai you intended to woo.
- [u]No power-playing the Ahzenai. They are not your character to control. You can only control what you (or your character) can do.
- Each Ahzenai has different rules for being 'woo'd' into staying with a keeper (that's you!). Read the info next to their picture to find out what they like.
- You can buy extra 'wooing' items below. They will increase your chances of successfully wooing the Ahzenai. If you don't win that particular Ahzenai the item will be returned to your inventory and you can use it again. If you win, you lose the item. One item per woo.
- You can also use Ahzenai you've already wooed to help you woo another, but be warned as some don't like competition for attention.
- If you no longer want your Ahzenai (maybe they've become rather obnoxious) you can return them here and someone else can deal with their obnoxiousness.
- You have a limit of 15 total Ahzenai that you can own and can only have 3 of each element.

Onyx or any of the other Sub-admins can open customs at any time. They will announce when they are taking custom orders in the thread. We would appreciate it greatly if you would not ask when customs will be open, because for the most part we don't know. We will open them when we feel like it.

Customs are ran a little differently here then the normal 'adoption' shop. Basically you purchase the MY LITTLE VORTEX (MLV) custom creation item from the shop and its added to your 'inventory' which can be found through the link at the top of the shop post. Then when Onyx opens customs only those with that item can order. Think of it like you're reserving your right to order a custom. This also keeps those who haven't really read the rules from ordering or those who haven't bought the MLV from ordering a custom. Questions? Ask me.

{Wooing Item Shop}

These are items that you can use to convince an Ahzenai to leave Ahzen with you. Items will be stored on a spreadsheet under your name. Onyx will keep this constantly up-to-date. It will also include any Ahzenai you've wooed.

Here's how items work. Everyone who is trying to woo a particular Ahzenai will be assigned a number depending on how many people are wooing. Ex: 5 people wooing; numbers assigned are 1 through 5. Buying a low priced item will add one number 'slot' to that person. Ex: The first person now has the numbers 1 and 2, the second person is now number 3, third person is number 4 and so on. There are now six numbers total. Woo story quality is a major factor, you get 8 slots for an awesome story, 5 for a decent story and 0 for a not so good story. Grammar doesn't factor in but do your best.

After all the numbers are assigned a number will be generated out of the numbers assigned. That's how the winner will be determined.
