Una - The first Gendling

Gendlings were created when a laboratory attempted to create the ultimate lifeform, with the best traits of all creatures combined. The experiment backfired, and instead the lifeform was reduced to it's bare essentials, completely devoid of any unique features save for a mouth, feet, eyes, and a tail. The sole outcome of this experiment, who we will call Una, awakes in the abandoned laboratory they were conceived in and must rebuild their species through the same method they were born- splicing!

What is Splicing? Splicing is a method of cloning where two Gendlings are combined to create an entirely new creature from scratch! Splicing also has a chance to cause random mutations! Mutations are more common in earlier generations. You can control mutations by using Gene Patterns, which will add specific traits to your outcomes. Read how it works here!

Who gets to be spliced? We accept volunteers to donate their Gendling's genes once a month to the Splicer, where Una will take those genes to create new Gendlings! Don't worry, Gendlings are not "related" in the typical sense, so you're not responsible for raising them or wondering which Gendlings are your kids. We use terms like "Parent" strictly to keep track of who's genes were passed on.

Currently Ongoing: The Aquatic Event

Hello Gendling Nation. I come to you with news of the future of Gendlings.

To put it plainly, Gendlings will be leaving chicken smoothie in the near future. I have not decided where the move will take to yet, but I figured I should give a heads up. It will remain on discord, but whether it is solely on discord or has a TH hub or uses another website is something I am looking into and considering. I will try to make it as accessible as possible.

There are multiple reasons why this is changing, but the most important one is that I would like Gendlings to be 18+ and solely under my own moderation rules. (This does not mean it will allow adult content, it is entirely for my own personal comfort) But for this reason alone it cannot stay associated with CS.

If you are under 18 or do not want to migrate with us: You may keep your Gendlings if you so choose! But they will be considered your own OC separated from Gendlings and you are free to transfer/redesign it however you please. Users under 18 will not be allowed to participate in any primary Gendling activities such as chatting, trading or splicing until you reach the age requirement.

I apologize for the disappointment this may cause, but I hope you can stick with us for the foreseeable future if you are able. The Discord link has been removed, but will be available off CS once Gendlings has fully migrated. Until then, the only CS activites that will remain active are the current event and trading forum. There will be one last Experimenting post as well. There will be a follow-up post when the migration fully takes place, and the CS page will be locked and archived.

GENERAL RULES

💿Please follow all CS rules, including on Discord.

💿Do not edit or colour any Gendling or Gendling Lineart unless you are one of the authorized artists. If you need a sprite edited, please contact one of the artists or admin.

💿Your account must be at least two months old to participate.

💿Staff member decisions are final, although they are not exempt from criticism. If you have an issue with any staff members, please bring it up privately with the main admin.

💿Be kind and respectful. Giveaways and splicing are done through dice rolls and luck, and everyone has the same chance as every other player to win Gendlings. Do not hold grudges against other players for winning you wanted. Be supportive instead!

💿Use the Co-op archive to keep track of any Gendlings you've collected! You can also have Co-op archives in a separate forum or a toyhouse, but it must link back to the official Gendlings Co-Op thread.

💿No player is required to participate in lore, splicing or activities such as Experimenting. You are welcome to simply enter giveaways and collect!

GIVEAWAY RULES

💿Do not enter the giveaways if you don't actually want the pets. You can selectively choose which IDs you wish to enter for as each pet is rolled individually.

💿Only enter once per giveaway. Giveaways usually last two to three weeks.

💿If you won a Gendling, make sure your Co-op archive is active and up to date before entering another giveaway.

Una is checking on the latest spliced Gendlings when suddenly the walls...creak. She manages to pick up her precious research in time right before water comes crashing out of cracks and pipes in the wall, flooding the room up to her knees.

So I wasn't crazy! There was a leak! Ha! Take that my incessant mind! She thinks, sitting on a table huddling her petri dishes and test tubes. She sent the newly created Gendlings out of the room to help the others plan, while she stayed and prepared an emergency splicing. Una, and most of the other Gendlings, were not yet adapted for water. In fact, she didn't even know if she could swim if it came to it. There was no time for distractions- she got to work on something new- something aquatic.
