I think tiers can be easier to follow sometimes, but both are nice options! I'll cast my vote on tiers to make it easier XD

I like lore as long as its not too restrictive with designs :)

should they have default claws? i think some should have claws, but i think the paws are really cute for a default!! might be easier to edit too :3
do you like paw out or do you prefer the standing pose? i really like both! maybe use both interchangably? the paw is a little more unique looking i think but they both hold up really well
would you prefer a tier-based trait system or a different bases with artist edits? bases with artist edits are easier for me to understand, but i know some people really like the traits. i think the artist edit type makes it a little more customizable in the end
do you prefer fleshed out species lore or open-ended? both! like a main, overall lore that people can either fit their characters into or ignore and make their own thing if they want.

I like the chunky bare paw look, so while I think claws could be wicked, default shouldn't have any.

Both are really cute! I think the paw out is pretty unique though.

I like having different bases with artist edits personally. Tier-based traits sometimes seem to limit themselves. Plus I just like seeing what personal touches an artist will add on <3

Both! I find it nice when a species has well thought out lore but not to the point where it's on a need to know basis. Just where participants can explore it on their own pace.

Items are neat! Certain clothing can work, but most of the time it's not to my personal taste.

do you prefer fleshed out species lore or open-ended? fleshed out species lore is always cool. Love getting to fit characters into the overarching narrative
do you like clothing/items for umas? yea, just find it frustrating when there’s a long cooldown or wait on applying them
