❧ Welcome to BANNOCHI!



Bannochi! is a genetics breedable game, based around showing and competing with teeny goat-mice creatures called Bannochi.

This game takes place in the fictional world; The Land of B!

More about Bannochi and the Land of B can be discovered as the game progresses.


❧ What is a Bannochi?



Bannochi are teeny, tiny ungulates (hoofed mammals), resembling a mouse-like goat, hailing from the Land of B. They stand at 8"-12" at the withers and weigh no more than 5lbs! Bannochi are sociable, confident little creatures by nature, who enjoy the company of other bannochi and people. They've become a charming, popular pet in the Land of B, where they've been selectively bred to produce a plethora of colours and varieties.

A bannochi's keenest feature is their ability to sniff out rare plants. This skill has been refined through generations and now bannochi use their phenomenal odor-seeking skills in competitions.


❧ Bannochi Types




Moderate (or wild-type). Hardy in build, balanced in personality and drives. Moderate-types don't receive any buffs or banes in competition. They're all-rounders.






Showy. Elegant and delicate, these bannochi were bred for the show ring and they know it. They tend to be less driven but far more sociable. They prance when they walk!

Showy types receive an advantage in Showing, but a disadvantage in Foraging.





Sporty. Keen and athletic, sporty-type bannochi excel at field work. They are driven, determined, and active. They have the keenest nose of any bannochi, but their single-minded focus on doing the job often makes them a bit more difficult to keep as house pets.

❧ GENERAL RULES

• All CS rules apply to Bannochi! both on and off site.
  
  
• Your account must be at least 2 months old to participate in Bannochi!
  
  
• There is no limit to the number of bannochi you may own, but you may only win one bannochi per officially released batch.
  
  
• Bannochi images may be taken off site and/or turned into OCs and/or have designs converted to other species as long as the original artist is credited and a link back to this thread on CS is provided.
  
  
• Bannochi images may not be edited in any way except to: flip, resize, or crop
  
  
• Bannochi may be traded or sold between users for other UMAs and/or CS currencies. All trades must be posted in the registration thread.
  
  
• Please do not fodder bannochi.

❧ RAFFLE RULES

• You may only win one bannochi per batch
  
• Please list IDs in order of your preference! If you have no preference, you may say "all" or list IDs numerically.
  
• Edits are permitted until the closing date of the raffle. Any entries that are edited after closing will be disqualified.

❧ GENERAL

Dogs have kennels, horses have stables, and bannochi have bouquets!

To start playing Bannochi! you'll need to have your own Bouquet! This is as simple as picking out a name and a prefix when posting in the co-op archive.

Bouquet Names can be anything you desire! (As long as they're CS appropriate, of course). The only rule is no two bouquets may have the same name. Many breeders choose flower or nature themed names for their bouquet, but this isn't required.

Prefixes are a short word or acronym that identifies who bred a particular bannochi. No breeder may use the same prefix as another, so make sure you pick something unique!


Examples of name and prefix combos:

❧ REGISTERED NAMES

Every bannochi living in a bouquet has two names. Their "call name", which is the name that gets used in everyday life, and a "registered name" - their fancy show name that uniquely identifies them during competitions!

Registered names all begin with the prefix of the breeder who bred or imported them.

• Including the prefix, registered names should be no longer than 30 characters.
  
• While bannochi can be traded, their registered name will never change.
  
• Multiple bannochi can have the same registered name, as long as the prefix is different!

❧ GENERAL

Bannochi have 2-4 kits on average, but litter sizes can be increased with the usage of items purchased at the apothecary. You may keep all your kits or trade them/gift them to other users!

Bannochi do not have a determinate gender. Any bannochi is capable of both bearing and siring kits!

Bannochi have 5 breeding slots for their lifetime. While breeding is encouraged, it's good to get fresh genes out there! We don't want to overbreed a single bannochi.

Breedings can be obtained in two ways:

• Via purchasing "Baskets" from the shop.
• Via free raffle breeding slots in this thread!

❧ GENETICS

Bannochi Genetics Guide

Bannochi genotypes are predetermined but "hidden." This means, when you adopt a bannochi you won't know exactly what its genotype is! Sometimes it's easy to tell part of a geno just by looking at a bannochi, but sometimes it's a little harder… like with those solid whites!

Bannochi genos can be discovered through breeding or by using items purchased at the apothecary.

Bannochi come in three lines.

All three lines can be bred together without restriction. The resulting kits' body types will be inherited as follows:

• Moderate x Moderate = 90% moderate, 5% showy, 5% sporty
• Showy x Showy = 90% showy, 9% moderate, 1% sporty
• Sporty x Sporty = 90% sporty, 9% moderate, 1% showy
• Moderate x Showy = 69% moderate, 30% showy, 1% sporty
• Moderate x Sporty = 69% moderate, 30% sporty, 1% showy
• Sporty x Showy = 60% moderate, 20% showy, 20% sporty

❧ CUSTOM RULES

• Customs are currently only available via Import Papers; an item that can be purchased at the Shop.
  
  
• Because of our genetics system, there are limitations to how "customized" a custom can be. Adopters can request some specific markings or provide visual references, but all bannochi must follow the genetics/color rules for the species.
  
  
  
• You may only have one in-progress import request (standard/foundation/silver/gold) at a time. Please wait for your import to be finished before ordering another.
  
  
  
• We currently don't allow pose changes or major changes to the bases, including unique physical traits or new varieties.
  
  
• All customs/imports are considered unrelated to any other bannochi.
  
  
• Any traits NOT listed in a form may not be requested. Certain items purchased at the shop may unlock unlisted traits or allow you to have more influence over a random or semi-custom import.

❧ IMPORT TYPES

FOUNDATION IMPORT

Everyone who posts in the co-op thread and gets their bouquet name registered receives one free foundation import! This can be redeemed in this thread immediately, or remain in your inventory to be used later. Foundation import papers cannot be sold, traded, or given away - BUT the resulting bannochi may be traded just as any other bannochi.

Foundation import papers cannot be purchased at the shop. They are a one time item.

STANDARD IMPORT

Standard import papers are the cheapest option, and allow you to get a new bannochi at any time.

Standard imports are COMPLETELY RANDOM. Everything about the bannochi (color, pattern, variety, physical traits, line) will be random.

SILVER IMPORT

Silver Import Papers are for SEMI-CUSTOM bannochi. Semi-customs allow you to pick some color/pattern/marking options and give you the choice of requesting a "non standard" physical trait. You may also request to have your semi-custom rolled for additional traits.

"Roll For Additional Traits:"

"No" means the bannochi will be exactly what you've requested
"Yes" means I will roll for the possibility of additional traits/modifiers. Eg. You chose a black self with blue-dilute, you may end up with a blue siamese bannochi!

GOLD IMPORT

Gold Import Papers are for FULL CUSTOM bannochi.
