Nistas are small anthromorphic animals who are made of "pixels".. whatever that is. We come in all shapes and forms, and we love to dress-up in all sorts of outfits! Once you acquire your own Nista, you can apply clothing to them!

Staff Applications are Open!

We are looking for Artists and Guest Artists!
Please fill out the corresponding form, and dm it to me

Applications will be open indefinitely, but you will have at least 2 weeks of advance warning if I do decide to close them

Overall, this is a free, fun project that I would like some help with to run. I do not expect you to be perfect, just that you try, as running a uma is a learning experience for me too :D

Staff Expectations:

- Adhere to all CS rules and Nista rules
- Treat all users and fellow members of staff with respect
- Be in both the Nistas discord and the private staff discord
- Communicate with me and other staff members should any issues arise, or if you will be inactive for 1 month or longer
- Keep staff communication private, unless explicitly given permission to share with a non-staff member

Open Positions:

Artist

Responsibilities include:
- Creating new Nistas, lines, and dress-up items
- Hosting raffles, giveaway games, and / or mini events such as color-ins
- Upload the psd files of your items so they can be shared with the users


For their application, Artists should create a minimum of either (1 Kitty recolor with no line edits and 2 Nistas with line edits) or (1 Nista with line edits and 3 dress-up items). Your designs should be fully original.
You can move the NSTA signature with the FAKE text, but it must be clearly visible
Do not use the lines for anything other than your application

Guest Artists

Guest Artists are temporary, providing a more flexible option for those who cannot commit to a permanent artist position. Guest Artists can stay for 1-4 months, depending on their interest. Unlike regular artists, Guest Artists also cannot open custom slots.

- Creating new Nistas, lines, and dress-up items
- Hosting raffles, giveaway games, and / or mini events such as color-ins
- Upload the psd files of your items so they can be shared with the users

Staff Perks

- 1 custom or recolor Nista each month
--- these are given with the expectation that you've been active in that month
--- you can carry up to 1 of these forward (ie. stack up to 2)
--- you can request for another staff member to create your custom / recolor for you (or do a recolor/custom for each other :>)
- Artists can also create a recolor for themselves for each litter (5+ Nistas) they create, which should be around the same quality as the Nistas in the litter

Here, you can enter litters fur a chance to win a Nista!

All litters are raffle-only; there will never be fcfs litters here.

Unlike many other umas, you cannot say "all" to enter for all of them. For each litter you can select up to x number of Nistas to enter for. This number will be clearly stated in the raffle form.

For instance, if a litter has Nistas #1-#8 and the form states to choose up to 4 to enter for, you could for example write "2, 3, 6, 8".

Hihi! Who am I, you ask? I'm Purl! What am I? Well I can't just spill all of our trade secrets just like that, c'mon!

But if you're curious.. me and ma'am have been setting up our humble little shop recently. It's not quite open yet, but we're workin hard! Normally we specialize in custom clothing, but for our grand opening ma'am wanted to make some more Stitchets, like me!

Just follow these three easy steps, and you'll have the chance to make your creation real!

A major feature of Nistas is the ability to dress up your nistas with premade clothing! Users may recolour and apply clothing to their Nistas themselves, so they can be all glitzed up like me 'n Cash!

All clothing is free to use (although there may be limited clothing in the future)! They'll be shared as psd files you can download right here :D

Keep the rules in mind, alright?

And if you would like someone else to apply clothing for you, you can find the stylist in the shopping district.

Users can:
- Recolour every aspect of clothing pieces, including lines and shading
- Add complex colouring or more inner lines to the clothing
- Move clothing items around
- Make minor edits to clothing if they're necessary to make it fit their Nista
- Layer clothing, and make minor edits to help them fit together better
- Remove hair tufts only from their Nista, if it would otherwise clip outside of clothing
- Move the "NSTA" signature so it isn't blocked by clothing
- Apply clothing to other people's Nistas, if they have the owner's explicit permission

Users cannot:
- Edit their Nista in any way aside from adding clothing (or "flattening" hair tufts)
- Cover more than half of their Nista's face with a dress-up (this ensures the Nista remains recognizable)
- Make cosmetic (ie. unecessary) edits to the clothing lines
- Create their own clothing pieces, unless they have specified permission (clothing MYOs will be available in the future!)
- Dress-up other people's Nistas without their permission


If you are unfamiliar with art apps, or do not use any art apps that support psds, I would suggest using Photopea (Desktop) or Ibispaint X (Mobile). Both are free to use, and relatively easy to pick up.
*to import psds in Ibispaint, you do have to find the psd in your files, and then select Ibispaint as the app to open it with.

Should you encounter any difficulties with either the app(s) or the dress-up item files, feel free to ask about it in the Nistas discord!
