ใ What is a RATTEN, exactly... ? ใ
A Ratten ("rat-ten" [/rรฆt/; /tษn/]) is a mutated form of what we know as a common rat (genus: Rattus). They derived from their much smaller, less-draconic cousins many years ago, hidden away from our gaze until quite recently. The first Ratten had been discovered bundled carelessly in the warm towels of a elderly woman who had yet to place her laundry away. We're still trying to figure out their fascination with towels. And, over time, more and more began to show up; rooting through unattended garbage, tearing clean towels off bathroom racks, scurrying in the woodwork of walls.
As much of an annoyance as a Ratten can be, their devious tricks and mayhem are less than harmless. Sure, you may find your car keys wedged behind your couch or those very important work documents chewed up, but a Ratten can really do no physical harm. Afterall, these lil guys are quite intelligent. Why bite the hand of something that can benefit you? Truthfully, only those a Ratten deems worthy of its pranks will receive such behavior... and even bare witness to their glory.
Rattens are a lot more than they lead on to be... And, to date, there's not much noted on them!
What is known about these spunky creatures is: bond with one and you will have a partner for life.
