Charm Dog Rules

CS rules MUST be followed.

• CD names, custom requests, payment options, and the like MUST adhere to Chicken Smoothie's Rules.
  Anyone found using multiple accounts to get more CDs will be blacklisted from the species, have their xxxx
  CDs revoked, and be reported.
  
  To get a Charm Dog from a raffle, you must have an up to date Co-op archive.
• This is especially important for raffles / fcfs CDs that involve a limitation on entries, such as "non
  owner only" CDs. Staff have an updated ownership list and will know if you try to enter for a CD you
  aren't eligible for, your form will be skipped in this case.
  
  Do not make your own Charm Dogs.
• This includes tracing, editing, coloring, or otherwise editing a Charm Dog. This includes pre-existing
  CDs. Fanart and/or independently drawn inspo pictures for customs do not count as this.
  
  You may take your Charm Dogs anywhere, including getting them turned into other UMA species.
• The only thing you may not do with your Charm Dogs is claim they are your own creation, unless you
  are an artist.
  
  Charm Dogs made to resemble copyrighted characters are VERY limited
• You must seek permission from a mod or the owner to request a CD that resembles or is based on a copyrighted existing character.
  
  Do not enter for CDs that you DO NOT feel connected to.
• For raffles and litters, do not enter for a CD you do not feel a connection to. Entering just for trade fodder is an insult to the artists who worked hard for your Charmies. You will receive a warning if you are suspected of doing this.
  Giveaways are a different story, because you can't always see their design before you enter. Because of this, there will be a 1 week trade block on any CDs you win in giveaways so you have time to decide whether you connect or not.

More rules may be added as deemed necessary, at which point an announcement will be made.

What do I do to give credit for my Charm Dogs?

If you have a Toyhouse account, you can find us here, under the owner's TH account. If you don't and linking to the word isn't an option for whatever reason, you can always link back to our main page.
If you're just sticking em in your signature, it'd be super handy if you could link them back to the main page as well. More people interested in Charmers means more artists and mods for upkeep, which means MORE CHARMERS PRODUCED!!!!

A custom/ breeding slot is open, who do I send the payment to?

If the artist is taking Trinkets and you're buying those for payment, you send those to me, hugs100 591026.
If the artist is taking Usable Items, there's nothing to send. Just remove one item from your co-op archive or wherever you keep track of your items.
If the artist is taking Pets, C$, or USD options, it all goes to them!

I can't find my Charmer's ID / I've lost the link to my Charmer!

Fret not! We have the ⁠ID Archive Sheet for this! Here's a step-by-step guide to finding every Charmer you own - and its filegarden link! This page gets updated as soon as ownership changes happen, or to the best of our ability, so we can track who owns which dog. This is why you must post that you're trading a Charmer using the "trading/gifting" section that can be found here.

Staff Responsibilities and Applications

STAFF ROLES & PAYMENT STRUCTURE

Monthly Minimums

• 6 Charm Dogs
→ We will be running litters bi-weekly of 6 Dogs each, minimum. You can either do 3 Dogs per litter, or a whole litter yourself. We'll discuss specific litter assignments together.

Monthly Minimums

• 4 Charm Dogs
• 2 Charm Pups

Monthly Minimums

• 4 Charm Dogs
• 2 Charm Pups
• 1 Breeding per quarter (every 3 months)
→ These are included in the total minimums (not in addition).
→ All customs must be coupon-based.

→ Any additional customs you complete for C$, USD, or pets are your own work and you keep 100% of the profits.
→ Giveaways are optional, but the artist who runs the most will receive 10% of monthly C$ shop profits.


Payment:

• 50 Trinkets weekly
• Equal share of 45% of monthly C$ shop profits
→ Remaining percentage goes to the owner if uneven
• VR+ pets via staff raffle (distributed as evenly as possible)
• EXUC and below pets: WL (wishlist) priority

→ Litter results will always be posted by the owner
• Enforce Rules – Ensure members follow server guidelines, including:
→ Warning or muting users for inappropriate behavior
→ Kicking or banning repeat offenders
• Manage Messages – Remove spam, offensive content, and help keep channels tidy
• Handle Reports – Respond to user-submitted reports of harassment or issues
• Welcome and Assist New Members – Greet new members, answer questions, and guide them
• Organize Events or Discussions – Optional: may help run Q&As, game nights, or chats
• Maintain Server Culture – Encourage kindness, discourage toxicity
• Approve Shop Purchases – Review all shop purchases, excluding those made to buy Trinkets

Payment:

• 50 Trinkets weekly
• Equal share of 35% of total monthly C$ shop profits
→ Remaining percentage goes to the owner if uneven
• VR+ pets via staff raffle (distributed as evenly as possible)

Most of our staff payment is based on monthly shop profits. I know that can feel a bit uncertain at times—and I completely understand! The more active we are as a species—through customs, events, and community engagement—the more we all benefit. Your effort helps the whole system thrive, and the rewards grow with it.

Minimums may shift slightly during special events to reflect the extra activity—but I always give advance notice and do my best to keep things fair and achievable.

Please remember: this is a volunteer-based role, not a job. Life happens. If you ever find yourself unable to meet your minimums, or if you need time off, just let me know! I’m always happy to work with you—whether that means adjusting your role, taking a break, or helping you stay involved in a low-pressure way.
