What are Lumplens?
Lumplens are silly creatures from space who are fairly squishy due to the low gravity they're used to living in. They've heard tale of these "cat videos" people on "Earth" seem to find so popular, so many Lumplens have molded themselves to have a cat-like appearance.
Lumplens are explorative creatues, many travel the galaxy wanting to see what there is to see. Others stumble across a place (or person!) and decide to settle down. Maybe you can be that person for a Lumplen in the future!

This is version 2 of a UMA I originally created in November 2022! If you have Lumplems from V.1, we will likely implement a way for you to have their lines updated, should you wish! For some, the primary change would just be adding the small signature onto their base. You're welcome to count the V.1 guys in your new Co-op, should you like.
Welcome in!

✶✶ General Rules ✶✶If it's against CS rules - it's against our rules, keep that in mind.
1. Be polite
2. You must have a co-op to participate! You don't have to use the co-op forum as your primary storage place, but if it's not your primary place, you must link it in your co-op post.
3. If you want to transfer a Lumplen out of the species - talk to me first. This only means that the Lumplen is no longer considered a Lumplen, they won't have an ID number, and they can't participate in any events, explorations, item dressups, breedings, etc. By default, I don't mind what you do with your Lumplens after you get them- they're yours. It's totally ok if you wanna transfer them out though <3
4. You made trade Lumplens for other UMAs as long as those UMAs are open to it.
5. Your CS account must be older than 2 months in order to participate in Lumplens.
6. IIf you don't own a Lumplen yet, you may adopt one without having a co-op, but you must make a co-op shortly after/before you can adopt a 2nd Lumplen.
7. Lumplens may be used in signatures or stored off-site as long as they link back to the main thread still! If stored on TH, please credit the Lumplens TH Account.
-- FCFS/Raffle Rules --
1. Don't assume you've adopted a Lumplen until the code post goes out/your name is added to the post!
2. No editing your FCFS entries- if you typed a number wrong, or someone posted that number before you and you want to adopt a different one, quote your original post and change what you need to change below. If your post is edited- it will be considered invalid.
3. Most litters will be FCFS (first come first serve), this means that you must be the first to request that specific Lumplen in order to get it
4. You may only adopt one Lumplen per litter
5. Raffles released with the litter cannot be adopted by someone who successfully got a FCFS Lumplen from the same raffle.
6. If someone wins a Lumplen from a raffle, they will only win one. If there are multiple Lumplens up for raffle, each Lumplen will go to their own, individual person
7. In the case of special raffles that might be out at the same time as a litter, you may still enter this raffle and try for a FCFS Lumplen from the litter. (You will know if its a special raffle)
8. You may switch Lumplens in a FCFS litter once (by quoting your original post). If it's not taken, your swap will be successful. If it is taken, you will retain your original pick. You may not switch a third time though!
9. If your code word or HEX code is incorrect on your form, your adoption is invalid. You may resubmit a new form (the whole form not just editing the messed up parts) and attempt to adopt again.
10. For raffles you may either list individual ID#s or simply put "all!"

♦♦ Lumplen Lore & More! ♦♦
Due to their squishy anatomy, Lumplens can change their shape. This commonly happens within the first year of life, with some Lumplens trying several different forms before settling on one.
As mentioned earlier, while *many* Lumplens have been attracted to the cat-like form, it's not a state they have to remain in! They're very blob-like overall, able to fit through any size gap as long as they can fit their head in!
Contrary to popular belief, Lumplens do indeed have legs. They're very short, and some choose to rarely use them, if ever! Often adult Lumplens won't show their legs to others unless they trust them. Baby Lumplens (often called Lumpkits) don't have as much control over their bodies, so they're not able to as easily hide their legs like their adult counter parts.
By the time a Lumplen reaches adulthood, it's not common for them to change appearance anymore. Not only are they slightly less squishy than they are as a baby, but many find a form they like and stick with it.
At the end of the day, this species is for fun! This is my personal lore for them, but if you have a different story in mind for your guys, you're welcome to have your own canon- These are paw shards, a paw-print shaped star fragment that Lumplens use as their form of currency. They love them for how shiny they are <3

There's nothing here right now...
Once a pet moves to the shelter it become FCFS, even if you got a Lumplen from the litter it was from. You may also only adopt one Lumplen/Lumpie from the shelter per 24 hours (if there's Lumplens in there for over 24 hours or more than once in a day).
If you decide you no longer want one of your Lumplens, you can surrender them to the shelter. You're not allowed to immediately re-adopt them, however, and you no longer own them as a character once you relinquish them.
If you wish to DM me the form for rehoming one of your Lumplens instead of posting it in the main thread, you're welcome to do so <3 Absolutely no hard feelings regardless.

~ FAQ ~
1. Can Lumplens be transferred to other species?
You must get the artist permission to do so, but if they approve it then that's totally fine!
2. Why must my account be at least 2 months old to participate?
This is to help prevent multi-accounting. We appreciate your understanding!
3. Can I store my Lumplens on TH?
Yes you may, as long as they link back to this thread somehow!
