Welcome!
Kiwi's Critters is a forum-based adoptable collection game with a variety of fun adoptables to choose from. In Critters, there's no set species or lineart. Instead, many species and linearts are available, with new lines being added to the pool every month.



Critters are able to be bred, and you can also maintain a Wardrobe of outfits for your Critters. There is no limit to the amount of Critters you can own, and they come in a large variety of paid and free batches. Jump in and find a new friend today!


Want to include your old friends? Critters is fully compatible with Cuties, the species that came previously before them. You can participate in Critters breeding with Cuties; you may also transfer your Cuties onto Critters bases to participate in Wardrobes.

CS / FR Note
Critters is hosted on both ChickenSmoothie and FlightRising. You do not need to participate in both sites to participate in Critters.
There is, however, Discord-Exclusive Content. This content is only accessible by joining our Discord - there is a Discord for both CS users and FR users; the FR one has more content.

Rules

Regarding Batches and Purchases:

• There is to be no complaining, on-thread or in-Discord, that you did not get a Critter that you wanted.
• Unless specified by the batch organizer, you may purchase as many Critters as you'd like in a given day, week, or month.
• The standard for free raffles and batches is that you may win a maximum of one. This may be different depending on the batch organizer.
• Purchases are nonrefundable.

Personal Conduct

• Maintain a respectful tone with the thread staff at all times.
• Do not be rude to others.
• Do not copy our gacha system's format without at least informing me and/or asking permission.

Regarding Bans

• Kiwipen reserves the right to refuse to sell to someone, or ban them from Critters, as kii sees fit.
• Those banned from the shop are not allowed to interact with Critters in any way.
• Users are not to knowingly trade/sell/gift Critters to banned users.
• Critters owned by banned members are voided from the game.
• Being a VIP member is a privilege, not a right. Your status as a VIP member can be revoked with reasonable cause.

Regarding Critters

• Critters may be OCs, fursonas, or personal characters. Once bought you may do what you please with them, the exception being breeding. Critters may only be bred inside Critters.
• You may display your Critters anywhere you please, but give credit. If you need help crediting a Critter, don't be afraid to ask!
• All Critters obtained via breeding are still subject to the same rules as a bought Critter; the same goes for custom Critters.
• Do not under any circumstances edit the artwork you receive. This includes removing the signature or adding your own Outfits to the Critter. Only official artists may adjust Critter pictures.
• Do not beg, bribe, or harass anyone to give you their Critter.
• You must maintain a log of the Critters you own; you may do so on toyhou.se, the character storage forum on ChickenSmoothie, a dragon on Flight Rising, or a thread in Creative Chatter on Flight Rising.
• All traded Critters should have a paper trail of who bought them to how they got to who they're with now. We do not archive them.
• You may not sell Critters for currency you did not purchase them with. Free Critters may be traded/gifted for other characters or Critters items. Bought Critters may be bought/sold for the currency they were bought with, or fictional currency.
• We do not accept liability for any USD transactions; the details and the completion of the work falls solely on the shoulders of the artist and the customer. We do not step in to ensure transactions go smoothly, and customers are encouraged to go through payment providers and methods that can provide refunds if the artist does not deliver.

Extra Notes

• As a species of mine, Critters are bound by my universal species TOS. Most of the rules there are written here.

Hiring
We only accept applications the first five days of January, March, May, July, September, and November.
You must agree to and follow all the rules outlined in our Staff Guidebook, and you can see how to set up batches in Setting Up Batches.
To apply, please directly draw onto our lines.

Please create two to three adoptables, this will be your application so make it count.
If your form is not accepted, you will be allowed to keep one design from those you made for the first application you make as an official Critter. Subsequent applications, if rejected, all designs will be void if you continue to be rejected.

You may submit your application on-thread or in PMs to Kiwipen.
Either way, your response, rejection or acceptance, will be sent to your PMs.

Adoptable Information

Critters are adopted out on CS and FR in batches. These batches may be paid or free; however, we do our best to provide batches to anyone of any budget.
While straight flatsales are managed directly on-thread, if there is a raffle element, we have a custom sheet to manage raffles.

This sheet is a place for CS and FR users alike to enter in for raffle batches. Users will always be notified when a new batch is posted, raffle or not.
It is important to read your notification post thoroughly, as not all batches are free and not all are raffles.




To Correctly Use the Sheet

• Only enter for Batches you've gotten notified for / have seen the post for. Sometimes, batches are still being set up. Sometimes, they are only for CS or FR.
• Only add your own username, and put a (CS) or (FR) behind your name to signify what site you're from.
• Comment on-thread (CS or FR) to say you've entered for a batch and what adoptable you entered for.
• Comment on-thread (CS or FR) to say you've removed yourself, for what batch and what adoptable, if you remove yourself.
• These two methods are to ensure we do not have raffle sheet trolling. If you do not comment that you removed yourself, we will re-add you to an adoptable. If you do not comment you put yourself on the sheet in the first place, we will remove you ourselves.
• Admins check the sheet history before rolling, to ensure trolling does not occur.

Gacha
Occasionally, the artists may organize a Gacha, Cuties-style. If there is a Gacha, it will be hosted in this post. During a Gacha, a randomized design will be rolled for you from the designs available. There is usually a fee for buying a Gacha, however, we do not charge USD for this. It is always a digital currency.
Gachas are exclusive to Flight Rising for now.

The Shop
MYO

There will be free ways to obtain MYO in the future.
You can purchase a ticket to make your own Critter for the following price:
$5 or 550kt or 500g or 140 C$
USD is sent to Kiwipen via PayPal only [discussed in Discord, link in signature / profile ]
This ticket gives you permission to create one Critter. Critters can have any edits, animation, etc. that you'd like, but must be one single image file that does not exceed 100 pixels in height and 500 pixels in width.
When a MYO is finished, ping @Keryth with your finished MYO. A banker will remove your ticket from your bank and you will receive a confirmation message that your Critter is approved.

Purchased items appear in your Bank Account. We search by ChickenSmoothie username by default, but if you would like to instead register your Flight Rising username, please do so on our Flight Rising thread.

Wardrobe + Co-Op Archiving

Wardrobe
A Wardrobe is a collection of images showcasing different outfits your Critter wears. You are responsible for maintaining your own Critters' Wardrobe.

A Wardrobe contains the images of your Critter in different outfits you've commissioned or paid for.

You can keep track of your Critters' Wardrobe where you're storing your Critters, or you can make dedicated space for it elsewhere. As long as you have somewhere to track the items you own per Critter, that is what matters.

Critters with the 'no acc' signature cannot wear Accessories nor have Wardrobes.

We recommend the usage of Character Storage, our Fanclub, or toyhou.se for the purposes of storage.

Archiving
We at Critters do not archive nor keep track of what Critters you own. This is entirely your responsibility. We encourage the use of toyhou.se to track them, as well as transfer them, but you are not required to do so. You may instead use our co-op archive thread.
