herbikana, whats that?

herbikana is the art of shaping plants, usually green, into little pots. most of the plants around here start with a brown, dingy little pot. but with enough care and effort into caring for your own plant, you can upgrade your plant into a much nicer container!

plants are usually given out by a mysterious merchant who absolutely adores taking care of them and growing them to be their very best. it's believed herbikana began with this guy. most of his plants are green, but sometimes you'll find rare colorful plants he was able to grow.

how do i get a plant? — you can get one from raffles and giveaways that are held below in the conservatory !
are these plants free? — mhm they're all free !
can i draw my plant(s)? — if you'd like to i don't see why not ^^;
are my pots and items one-use only? — yes, once you apply a pot or item to your plant it will disappear from your inventory and cannot be added back in or given to a different plant.
what is a "non-planter?" — non planters are others who have no plants yet!

┊general rules

• do not steal and claim plants that you do not own, edit existing plants without permission, take the pot bases, or make your own plants (for use in this project) if you are not permitted to do so.
• you are allowed to trade plants for other ones and even other uma adopts (so long as the other uma permits this).
• each plant has a 2 day cooldown before being traded. only group-swaps have no cooldown.
• please be courteous and kind !
• you are allowed to put your plants anywhere (i.e. signature, toyhouse?, etc), they just need a link back to the main thread.

this uma is supposed to be very casual about the way its run. there mayyyy be more things in the future such as breeding and customs.

Hey.. i'm shokubutsu, you can call me butsu for short. I run the Conservatory, i think. Well, i'm not really sure how i got here, in this world, but i started picking up tricks on how to grow plants and it's become such a relaxing hobby for me that i've made myself a little, thing, for it i guess. so others can also enjoy the plants i grow as well. want to give plant-caring a try too?

┊conservatory rules

• fcfs plants are as described, first come first served.
• you can edit your form for raffle plants only, you cannot edit your form for fcfs plants. quote your original post with the right number if someone took the plant first ! if you edit your form, it will be disqualified.
• having said that, you can only swap the right number once. any other times will be disqualified.
• fcfs forms will be hidden until the seed batch is out and will slightly change every so often so everyone has a fair chance! your form has to be the exact same as listed or it will be skipped!
• each seed will have a tag that must be included in your form word-for-word or your form will not be counted!
• you are only allowed to take 1 plant from a seed. if you get a fcfs plant, you cannot take a raffle plant from the same seed!
• you can enter for several or all plants in a raffle.
• reserved plants cannot be won! theyve been claimed by someone by special means :] (artist pick, custom, etc)
• plants labelled "non-planters only" under them can only be won by others who don't have any plants yet!
• multiple seed batches may be up at once sometimes !

along with plants, i also like to make pots to put them in, it's in the herbikana nature after all. when you get a new plant, you can put them in a brand new pot, cause i'm sure the little starter pot i put them in can get a little boring after a while. to buy pots and other items you need sun nectar, scroll down a bit more to figure out how to get some.

the sunroom
>> here in the sunroom you can leave your plant to sunbathe here every couple days and earn a currency herbikana uses called sun nectar! you can also choose to buy a max amount of sun nectar if you prefer not to wait.

the sunroom is currently: CLOSED.

if you want to have your plant sunbathe in the sunroom, you'll earn sun nectar for it. you can sunbathe up to 5 plants but there won't be any bonus for putting up more than one plant. you can only sunbathe your plant weekly, each day resetting on cs rollover OR if i post results prior to that.

sunbathing results are posted every monday so even if you submit your plant and it has been more than 7 days, you need to wait for me to post results before posting again. if you do this before waiting for my results, your new post will be skipped and you'll have to post again.

you can get 80-300sn each time you sunbathe plants.
