welcome to sig-clips!

we call 'em SC's or clippies for short. these little guys
are funny lil dudes that love to hang out in your signature!
they come in a variety of appearances, and are plenty
friendly to everyone. the default clippie seems to be
mammalian in nature, but we've seen reptilians and
even extinct species before!

we put up new litters every few days to a week,
so keep your eyes out! did you know that each
batch has a unique stitching on their tags to show
that they're from the same batch?

staff apps!:
i'm looking to hire two or three artists to make batches for clippies!

you're only expected to make one free batch a month, but may make more as you want.
you must be in the discord, or able to join the discord.
you're allowed to take on customs, and breedings (when set up) as commissions
you have unlimited custom slots every month that you are active.

-sig-clips must link back to this thread or to my toyhouse for credit

-don't claim the sig-clips base as your own

-don't edit your sig-clips without the required items + permissions

-be kind and respectful of others (no guilt tripping, begging, character attacks, etc.)

-sig clips may be traded for other umas that allow cross-uma trading! you must submit a shop form for this.

-you may resell purchased clippies, but not freely obtained ones. any clippie may be traded for other clippies or clippie items.

-transfers into the species from other uma, or from ocs, need a single shop item + approval to be clippies

rarity system

There are no rarity tiers for individual traits. However, we do have minor and major clippies. Minor clippies have less than 25% of the base edited (this does not include things like expression edits or accessories). Minor clippies are more common than Major Clippies. Major Clippies have more than 25% of the base edited, and may even be an entirely different base altogether! Minor and Major Clippies can breed with each other, and litters produced usually take traits from all parents.

no matter how much the base is edited, all clippies will have the following : a clip, and a tag with the litter's stitching symbol on it.

Can I edit my form for a litter? You can edit raffle forms, but not FCFS. Editing FCFS forms will eliminate you from adopting with that form. If you need to edit, you may quote your previous form or post a new form.

Can I adopt more than one per litter? You may only adopt one from each litter, even if the litter has different adoption types for each clippie (i.e if you pay, you cannot get a free raffle from that batch as well).

How can I breed my clippies? Breeding is not currently set up! It will come soon, though.

Is there a maximum of how many clippies I can own? Nope!

Are you hiring? If so, how do I apply? When there are open artist, mod, or other slots I will post an announcement with a close date + add the form in the staff section. You'd then just dm the form to me filled out.

I'm interested in being an artist/mod/other staff. What benefits do staff get? Staff can create unlimited customs of any type as long as they have been active in the last month. They may take and do two personal breedings for every month of activity. Activity means actively participating in the species and performing duties- artists must make one litter, and mods must interact with the community- either through discord or through custom approvals or thread help.

Are clippies adoptable with USD/c$/CS pets and items/etc? Yes! Sometimes there will be paid litters, and the payment is up to the artist. 100% of an artist's litter sales goes directly to the artist.

How can I acquire Clippie items? The quickest way to obtain Clippie items is through the shop. These can be bought with all sorts of currency, including Clippie based currency, and will usually not have stock amounts. You will also be able to find them occasionally in explore, along with random clippies! There will also be give-aways and raffles and the such.

Are there any cooldowns for trading? You must wait a week after getting a clippie to trade it. Make sure to follow the trading rules as well!

What do you mean by 'non-owner'? As long as you don't currently own any Clippies, you are considered a non-owner. In progress customs do not count towards ownership.

Will there be a discord/exploration/other feature? They are currently in the works! For now, I'm focusing on getting a few litters out and building the community! <33

Can I transfer in/out other OCs or UMAs? Yes! There will be an affordable transfer item in the shop, and a section in the customs thread to submit for transfer approvals. You can also transfer out at any time with approval from the litter artist + notifying Paro, and posting the transfer out form in the same thread as the transfer-in. Transfer cooldown (how soon you can transfer out from the species) is a week after acquiring the Clippie.

What is 'Chickentime?' Chickentime is Chickensmoothie's time, which can be found on the time page. This is the standard time used to announced releases, event times, etc, as it is easily referenceable and findable by anyone on site.
