Starcomfies are dragon descendants, with thick, soft fur and long tails. They can fly without wings, and, 'walk on air'. They can also change their size to be anywhere from near miniscule to the size of a bus!

Their main characteristics are their fluffy necks/manes, ear tufts, long tails, and their muzzles, which feel as soft as a horses nose! They also have large paws and thick pawpads, which are great shock absorbers!



More uncommon starcomfies can break some of those molds, however, and mythical ones can look near completely different!

Egg is a common, or normal, starcomfy!

Starcomfies can live in burrows in the ground, dens, or in trees which sprout from magical beans! Mythical staries can even live in cloud cities!

They are basically immortal, though when they feel they've lived long enough, they fly into the sky and turn into a star!
Their diet consists of fruits and veggies, they don't eat meat as the only organisms that live in their world are other starcomfies.

Starcomfies can produce up to three maximum eggs in their lifetime. Only male and female starcomfies can breed so far, but if you help with researching, same sex couples can produce eggs! A baby starcomfy is called a starlet.

A clutch size can be 1-3 eggs. If its three eggs, the starcomfies involved can no longer breed.
Starcomfies can have multiple partners, but if one starcomfy has already had three eggs it can not make more with another partner.

If you roll less than three clutch size and want to breed your starcomfy to a new partner, thats ok!

1. You can only get one per starcomfy per litter.

Mainly due to the fact that litters won't be very large, and I don't want hoarding.

2. No editing your post! I'll skip you.

If you edit it, it's not fair to everyone else that might've wanted that starcomfy.
EDIT: DON'T EDIT IT EVEN AFTER YOU WON! You can change their name any time in the archives, however!

3. If you put your starcomfy in your sig, please link it back!

This also applies to the free to use linearts you can color in.

4. Don't edit the base or starcomfy in any way without permission

If you want to apply an item, there will be a form to post and I'll do it for you. No changes to designs are allowed without the use of an item.

5. PM if you have an urgent question!

I'm busy and can't always go thru a thread to look for questions :(

6. This is still a huge work in progress.

Things will change and get updated, I'm a first time UMA owner/artist/person. If you have tips or suggestions please tell me lol.

7. Include your user ID when you post your adoption form!

It's the number at the end of the link when you go to your profile. From now on if you forget this your form will be skipped! EDIT: use your user id for EVERY form that asks for it. From now on if you don't it'll be skipped over. I do this to make archiving easier for myself so I don't have to manually get everyones # myself :,)

8. Name, gender, and pronouns are optional and can be filled out later

It's highly preferred you do fill it out if you end up adopting them, but it can just be done in your archive. The only necessary information is the starcomfy id# and your id#, usernames are also technically optional it just makes it easier for me!

1. Are starcomfies free?

Mhm! Most starcomfies will either be FCFS (first come first serve) adopts or raffled off. Breeding and customs are excluded from this, however! Sometimes there may also be store litters.

2. Do they have rarities?

Sure do! Most starcomfies are common, or normal. This means they have no line edits and are your run of the mill staries! Uncommon staries have minor line edits, rare ones have major edits, and mythical ones.. well.. you'll see ;)

3. Do they have a certain gender?

Nope, but in order to breed you (currently) need a male and a female! This will be expanded on later, once enough research has been done in order for same-sex couples to reproduce! You pick their gender when adopting them, and it can only be changed once using an item. Pronouns can, of course, be anything.

4. Can I make edits to my starcomfy?

Any edits you wish to be made need to be made thru items! They will be added in eventually.

5. How do I breed my two staries?

You need to purchase a breeding bean thru Azul's shop, fill out a form, and boom! You've got yourself some eggs! Well, it's a bit more complicated than that, but you'll learn all about it in our breeding thread.

6. Why only three eggs?

To prevent an overabundance of staries, and because I don't want people breeding willy-nilly.

7. What's to come?

Big things! Some examples include: stats, exploring, custom items, and all the usual UMA stuff like breeding and trading.

8. Can I use my starcomfy as a fursona?

Yes! You can use them as an oc or a fursona, buy art of them, make or buy real life things of them, treat them as any other character you legally own. They aren't just forum signature pets!

Stars are the currency used in the Star Isles!
They can be obtained thru purchasing (here), explore, or levelling up!

100 stars = 50c$
200 stars = 75c$
300 stars = 100c$
400 stars = 135c$
500 stars = 200c$

this doesn't follow a super strict guide, it's more of a 'feel-it-out' kind of thing. if you want to pay with pets, pm me and i'll give you an amount the pet(s) would be worth. nothing under uncommon will be accepted. stars can be added to your bank after the trade has been accepted.

Starcomfies is in need of mods.

What do mods do?

They make sure rules are being followed and people aren't confused, basically.

They may also proof read posts before I send them, as I tend to miss things even after going over it over and over again.

Mods will also help with checking forms, whether its a litter form or a shop form, etc, making sure everything is correct.

Additionally, they will tell me who wins FCFS litters. It's hard to keep up with just one person, very overwhelming lol.
