By partaking in Dragon Island in any way, shape or form, you agree to follow all below rules. You also agree that you understand them and understand that breaking any rule can result in strikes or subsequent bans.

Rules:
-Do not remove/edit the red (c) NM mark on the corners of the dragon images and do not edit/mod your dragon in any way shape or form.
-When posting your dragon anywhere, please be sure to link back to this page!
-No complaining/whining/begging.
-These are not to be sold in any way shape or form for any kind of currency, virtual or not.
-These are ok to post outside of CS as long as it links back here.
-If you become a banned member, your freezer count will be removed, you will be banned from all of Dragon Island and its dealings. Any custom ordered dragons will not be put up for adoption, but freebies or bred dragons will.
-Rules are subject to be changed at any time. New and old members must all follow them. If you do not agree with this, please do not take part in Dragon Island.

Breaking of any rule will result in a two-strike system, then a ban if continued. You get two strikes on for breaking any rule, before you are given a ban.

Dragon Types
Here you can find all available types of dragons that can be found via events or customs!

Some species have special subspecies markings that add a unique touch, these are rare and are hard to pass on to offspring

However, there are some subspecies that effect ANY species of dragons, which are listed here:

Albino - Total loss of all pigment, white with pink flesh colors
Piebald - Missing splotches of color, which are then pure white

Legendary dragons are obtainable only via events, or VERY rare adoption chance (if one of our staff comes across one of these mythical beasts while searching the island). Legendaries are currently UNABLE to breed. Click me for a list of legendary dragons.

~Mythic Dragons~
Custom made lineart for someone of a dragon that is unbreedable. The only exception is with the use of the "Mythic Tonic" (See its item description for rules). Obtained via a gift from Northern Malagon, for hard work to the group, or being a very active, friendly member! These are gifts and if you ask for one, you are unlikely to get one for a while.

Currency And Freezer
Currency can be used to buy many things here at Dragon Island!

~What is our Currency? And whats with the "Freezer"~

Our currency here at Dragon Island are MB or "meat bits"! They are dragons after all! Any purchases from breeding services to nest spots to customs and so on use meat bits.

The freezer is where all meat bits are kept frozen until you wish to "spend them", simply put, its a way to keep track of who has what!

~Exchange~

How you obtain meat bits is done by one of three ways. One way is by events where, they may be given out at random, or won! The second is via exchange and the third is via currency trades!

I do accept currency trades! We trade on an even ratio. Some people make things take a lot of currency but offer a lot of currency per exchange. Values are all depending. We can come to an even trade that will make both of us happy! (I take into consideration the work the artists may have to do with the amount of your currency I (Northern Malagon) will receive to try and make it even!)

~Basic Breeding Breakdown~

Breeding a dragon requires two dragons, either both owned by you or joint breeding with a fellow dragon island member (must have a proof in the form of a post here in the main topic)

The size of the nests (below) dictates how many offspring will be produced! Smallest being 1, largest being 3! Each nest has its own cost.

Rarity and Genetics

The rarity of your dragon determines what your eggs will hatch into.

For example, an uncommon and rare dragon may breed, but the eggs will only hatch into either the mother or father's species. The only way around this is if you have a "((Unreleased item))" item, which will allow you to pick any of the in-between rarities of your dragon's species (No lower or higher rarity may be picked).

Coloration also plays a large role in what your dragon will look like. The colors may end up with any combination, stay the same as one parent while picking up the pattern of the other parent, or mixing (blue and yellow may end up making a green color).

Expect a wait time of a week or two for eggs to hatch!

Would you like to adopt a dragon? You have come to the right place, here we find unwanted dragons that are put for adoption by their owners! Some clutches will be first come first serve, some clutches will be raffle style! If there are any unique rules for that clutch of adopts it will be listed under the clutch type. All adoptions are FREE of charge, that's right, you do not need any MB to adopt!

Welcome to adventuring, I can see that adventures itch in you. You want to take your dragon companion and hit the trail, or blaze a new one, in hopes of finding some long-forgotten treasure! Well pack your bags, and be off! Its time to go adventuring!!!

~What does adventuring do?~

Adventuring allows you and your dragon to find rare and valuable treasures as well as crafting items!

You and your dragon may find things such as abandoned dragon eggs (new dragon adopt!), items to dress your dragon, dragon backgrounds, breeding items, crafting items or meat bits! Its all luck really, because there is a chance...you may find NOTHING!


~How to adventure~

If you want to explore, you must own at least one dragon before you can. The world outside of your village is chock-full of wild dragons and its not safe to go alone. Simply fill out the adventuring form, and get going!

It takes you and your dragon 3 days to go adventuring and return home.
During this time, your dragon may not do the following actions:
-Be dressed
-Nest

And since you are gone on an adventure, you may not have more than one dragon adventuring at a time!
You must also take one week's break in between each adventure
